The ensemble of Smash's musical-within-a-show, "Bombshell" is going to be expanding with the addition of three new series regulars. Descriptions of the three new characters is as follows:
Courtney, an African-American chorus member in her mid- to late-20s who packs a powerhouse voice. She is described as “incredibly attractive and confident, but also open-minded and non-judgmental.”
Danny, a straight, working class fella in his mid-20s and from Brooklyn. He is summed up as “sexy, charismatic and musically gifted, but also self-destructive and remote.”
Joe, a Brooklyn-born gent who is in his early to mid-20s and is “gay, very cute, incredibly open and optimistic.”

I hope it'll not affected Will Chase, I love him as Michael, I don't want him gone =S
ReplyDeleteI hate change, I don’t want new regulars, I am already scared of Safran as it is, I don’t want new elements that could potentially ruining the show! That being said, the show needs to be fixed or it’ll be gone before the end of Season 2. So much potential, but so many inconsistencies, dropped plotlines, stupid “twists” (which were telegraphed weeks in advance), and a contest set up between two main characters that was so heavy handed in favor of one that anybody who was surprised by the finale wasn’t paying attention. Give Ivy her sanity back, let Karen work for her fame instead of having it handed to her on a silver platter, drop Julia’s family (and PLEASE do not have her be pregnant), give Tom more to do, make Derek somewhat human, restore Eilene’s braincells (but keep her with Nick the bartender), and send Ellis under the nearest city bus. If the new regulars can bring sanity and consistency to this show then it may actually live up to its title; the framework is there, the new showrunner just needs to set it on the right track.
ReplyDeleteI really hope that next season will be good and with Ellis gone it will get back to what the Pilot was all about. Please, get Ivy back on her feet and have her star in another show and not dwell on losing this part to Karen and lets have Karen not be a Princess that has everyone catering to her she needs to grow up and learn to become a star that Derek thinks she can be. But, please don't let Derek and Karen get together I don't want them together I just don't see the chemistry as much as others do. And also drop the ongoing storylines and make the show likable again.
