  2. Oh my god. I feel like I just watched a movie. This is going to be EPIC!

  3. Not bad! It looks awesome so far!

  4. The trailer is very pixellated (I'll have to try it on another computer sometime) but from the two sneak peeks I'm definitely excited. I hope the post Voice spot it has is going to be able to keep it alive because good shows seem to die on NBC.

  5. Looks interesting.

  6. Giancarlo Esposito and the guy playing the Uncle makes it interesting, everyone else seems a bit bland by the numbers

  7. watch it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwfCRAtkYEI

  8. For a series that centers on the world having no electricity or power there sure is a lot of score music in the background.... It just feels wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  9. wow that looks pretty amazing. NBC don't screw it up!

  10. This looks really good. But it also reminds me a bit of TERRA NOVA. Does anyone know how expensive it was to shoot this pilot? Because I'm scared that it might go down the same road as TERRA NOVA did...expensive, beautiful and well executed pilot episode but then everything falls apart from there.

  11. The girl in the last sp can't act to save her life.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Very very interesting ... definitely the show that's new I'm looking forward to the most next season.  This is the JJ Abrams/Eric Kripke one right?

    ReplyDelete
  13. I'm worried this will be the new The Event. High concept show that crashes and burns. It really looks interesting though.

    ReplyDelete
  14. This looks like my kind of show!

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think with far, far less CGI work we can safely say it will ot be the fiasco that was Terra Nova.
Plus by all appearances it will not concentrate on family and annoying kids.

  16. So basically Revolution is 'Dies The Fire' meets 'Jeremiah' meets 'Jericho.' I have to admit I was expecting something more original from Abrams and Kripke.
Still, it looks like it will be good. I'm already loving the Miles and Charlie characters. I have a feeling I'm going to loathe Danny and Nate though.

  17. As soon as I read the name of JJ Abrams, I was hooked. I just can't help myself. :)

  18. oh. my. god.

    THIS. LOOKS. EPIC.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Looks like it will flop like Jericho & Terra Nova did.

    ReplyDelete
  20. It looks really good. Which probably means that it'll get cancelled after its first season. But I'll hold out hope because I'm interested.

  21. Yes and more, Jon Farveau direct the pilot. So This is gonna be awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Now, now, listing awesome stuff like Jericho alongside utterly horrible stuff like Terra Nova is insulting.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The only draw back on this is the involvement of Eric Kripke,

on one hand supernatural seasons 1 to three were awesome.

On other hand supernatural seasons 4 to whatever-it-is-now are some of the most horrible badly writing misogynistic things on tv ever.

I guess the moment every female character starts to drop dead I Will know its time to bail out.

  24.  - This will last about as long as The Event did.
     - It's nice to see Giancarlo Esposito find a project with better material for him than OUAT.
     - How the hell does this pilot have better CGI backgrounds than OUAT?  Spend some damn money, ABC.

  25. this show is either going to be big hit or a big miss, guess it all depends on how the plot moves. I am willing to give it a chance though so i will tune in at least for ep 1 hopefully i can go beyond that.

    ReplyDelete
  26. that is exactly! what I was thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  27. It looks like one of those shows that are really interesting for 3 - 4 episodes and then get´s really boring.

I´ll check out the pilot though.

    ReplyDelete
  28. lost meet flashforwad & jericho ..... i'm IN !!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Looks GREAT! Can't wait to see the pilot!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Better than expected, but I'm not blown away by any stretch of the imagination.
The swordfighting in this will kill me, I mean seriously what? Also I'm surprised they managed to find Belgian WW2 guns to use, what is going on here?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't think that will happen "Charlie" resembles Jennifer Garner IMO, and Abram's Heroines usually make most of the way, if not all the way to the end.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Bad Robot and Warner Bros, that's who!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Welcome to Westfield!

    ReplyDelete
  34.  You'd think that being a subsidiary of Disney corp., ABC Studios would have access to some pretty great VFX people but obviously not.

    ReplyDelete
  35. My wife and I said the same thing (reminds me of Jericho) - but I'm with you, I don't think Terra Nova and Jericho should be listed in the same sentence. Jericho had a much stronger cult following that may lead to Netflix picking it up now.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Can't wait for this, getting more excited and i've only watched one promo.Back to it!

    ReplyDelete
  37.  Your right about that

    ReplyDelete
  38.  Ha! I just finished the promos and i was about to add the last three to my comment too! Look great....something the look forward to!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hope it will be as good as the promo. Still, Breaking Bad and Fringe will end next year, I must find alternative...

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well, Jericho was pretty bad and boring.

    ReplyDelete
  41. The premise is hard to accept and seems poorly designed to avoid major holes in execution. BUT if I can get past all those holes, I am really looking forward to this. I liked the promos and I love Kripke and he plans story arcs really well, so maybe it won't be the black hole absurdity of JJ Abrams projects.

    ReplyDelete
  42.  No, no it wasn't. It was awesome and still one of my favorite shows ever.

    ReplyDelete
  43. They should call the pixar guys...

    ReplyDelete
  44. Well, that's your opinion, not a fact (same as mine) ;)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Looks great!

Reminds me of Terra Nova: great concept, bad execution and bad acting.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'm looking forward to this...... tough time slot though

    ReplyDelete
  48. OMG OMG OMG
It was like they took Fringe + Lost, and SPN and threw it together in an apocalyptic world.
-They used the music from the Mass Effect 3 launch trailer (which is epic)
-The scenery and the effects look incredible.
-This is NBC's new "Smash" since they are seemingly throwing it behind The Voice. I really really hope that works out!!!!
-The cast looks great, and I think if they take it in the right direction and not let it be boring, they could actually have some decent ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Interesting so I'll check it out.. It looks similar though to Falling Skies LOL !!

    ReplyDelete
  50.  You really didn't like Jericho? I loved it..hell i still watch it sometimes..

    ReplyDelete
  51. This I can get on board with.

    ReplyDelete
  52. This looks right up my street!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I might just watch this, but I'm worried it will end up like Terra Nova.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I really like the look of this.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Apparently there's enough electricity to run hairdryers!

I like apocalypse stories (i.e. The Walking Dead) so it might be good. I wasn't too impressed by the acting a dialogue, so that will have to improve to keep me interested. And hey, the guy from The Good Wife, sans baby in stroller.

    ReplyDelete
  56. It's so sad, because the writing and story telling aspect is SO similar, I wish team up with their old friends, just for the production money for the CGI :p

    ReplyDelete
  57. I am really excited too! I didn't expect the trailer to look nearly as epic! I have heard it also described as a "high octane thriller", and now seeing some of those fight scenes I can really start to believe it!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I liked Jericho too. You're not alone (:

    ReplyDelete
  59. remember me, jherico....

    ReplyDelete
  60.  It might be a drawback if one watches SPN,but there are a few who don't.I had to goggle to find out who she is.

    ReplyDelete
  61.  Did you check this out? I got it from MisterFloopy above

     http://viemo.com/38591304

  62. Wonder how big the story/myth arc will be. It's pretty obvious (and somewhat depressing) how procedural shows and "reality" shows captivate Americans, despite how good or well-written a different show is.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I thought the same about the woman in the 2nd video.  Atrocious acting from the female contingent.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Yep, and FlashForward.  Similar kind of thing.
Just my kind of show, but guaranteed to get cancelled after one season.

    ReplyDelete
  65. As excited as I am about this new JJ project, I just can't see how they can explain 'everything' electrical/mechanical suddenly not working.  Electricity doesn't simply cease to exist.  That's like saying one day gravity just decides to have a day off.  To make this happen they would have to explain how thunderstorms never happen anymore, and how rubbing two balloons together would suddenly fail to produce static.

And it's not just electricity.  According to the trailer, car engines stop working too.  Really?  but that's just an engine.  How deep does this lack of physics run?  Do water turbines stop working?  How about windmills?

I'm sure they have a good explanation, and it clearly involves that little necklace, but they're gonna need one hell of a good explanation.  And if it turns out to be purgatory I will kill myself.

    ReplyDelete
  66. It's not a drawback if you watch(ed) SPN and actually like the show. Most fans don't think that it was the worst thing on TV. xD

    ReplyDelete
  67. Ha! Agree. Since they still have fire, they should still have combustion engines. And since people are still walking around, I'm guessing our hearts are still beating and our central nervous systems are still functioning and they both rely on electrical currents. So, yeah, major plot holes. Maybe they'll fix it somehow to inorganic, energy storage or something? Got no idea, it might be just a big thing to swallow at the beginning. I'm hoping the characters will be worth the blind eye. And the fights look awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  68.  I wouldn't know i don't watch SPN.That's the reason why i said that,i've no idea what is going except its like the Hatfiels and the McCoys,in that you have The Cas Team, and on the other side you have The Dean team (and that is if i'm even right about the names.lol),and every Saturday the two groups come and square off against each other....how am i doing so far,lol....?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hahaha Lol. ::still laughing:: Well before all that, on Fridays, two hot brothers drive around in a classic car and fight monsters and try to save the world.

    ReplyDelete
  70.  Ha! right, the impala!  At least i got the names right, and made you laugh!   :D

    ReplyDelete
  71. Yeah, the fight scenes look pretty cool.  I'm sure the pilot will be awesome (despite some terrible acting from the women, if the SPs are anything to go by), but I'm a bit reluctant to get too excited about the series until I've seen four or five episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Holy Sh*t, yeah.  It is exactly the same.
I'm sure they're using it legitimately.  I seriously hope so, anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  73. It might be a type of metal alloyed or shock absorbing tech that doesn't absorb human's for some reason...either there is a statement here that Human's electromagnetic fields are quantitatively different than all others (there most likely are different frequencies, so you may be able to make something that targets a certain kind), or perhaps the history of electricity is a myth. (the matrix)???

But I am more concerned for what the energy was taken away for, or could be used for!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Eric Kripke and the director of Iron Man...didn't think I could be more excited until I watched the trailer! Definitely watching this when it airs!
