I think I liked them all; each and everyone had something good and something bad about them. For me, the freshness of seasons 1-3 was muted by House's original team of Chase, Cameron and Foreman - I still hate them (as a team, not as individual characters) and they take away all my pleasure. There are good things and bad things. But, overall, I think season 4 had the least bad things. It was new. It was funny. It gave the viewers a new perspective on House, Wilson. It gave us the new team - and I liked this one MUCH better - it gave us Amber, it gave Chase and Cameron something new to do. Two of my favourite episodes of House EVER are also from season 4: "Wilson's Heart" and "Alone". So I'll say season 4. But I loved the SHOW.
I voted season 1. It is actually one of the few shows whose first season I would vote the best. A tv show usually needs more time to find it's stride, but House was spot on since the beginning.
I still remember being shocked by House's antics over and over in the first season and being amazed by how well writter that first season was.
I've felt the show has been top notch from day one till the end... but favourite season collectivelly...? I think I'd have to pick one of the first three... I'll need to mull it over a bit more....
I voted for season 1 but I really loved all of seasons 1-3 and I really enjoyed 4 & 5 too. There were some great episodes in 6-8 too but overall not so great.
I thought season 1, but I agree with the Poll result. Season 4 was really the best now that I think of it. House's Head was the best episode, closely followed by Three Stories in Season 1.
My favorite season of House will always be season 4.
It amuses me to no end that, during season four, so many fans would bitch and complain about the original cast shake-up, Cameron and Chase being put in the background, and the stupid new characters taking up too much screen time. Now, season four is seemingly considered one of the most popular of the series' run. I've always loved #4 and always will. Viva la Cutthroat Bitch!
I thoroughly loved them all and all have favourite episodes in them. I simply couldn't pick a favourite, at least not without rewatching the entire series with this question in mind. I would say season 7 (or maybe 2) is perhaps overall my least favourite, not because of any diminished quality, but because I personally always have had an ingrained aversion to romantic love stories in general. However, I thought what they did with House and Cuddy was still brilliantly done and I count it as one of only three love stories I've ever enjoyed (another one of those being House and Stacy).
"Best" is such a vague term. In my opinion season 4 was the funniest, season 6 was the best drama, season 1 had the advantage of introducing us to the show, season 2 was the most consistent episode-to-episode, season 7 had the most unique romantic plotline I've ever watched on tv (I was not at all in favor of them getting together beforehand, but I really like how they handled the relationship), season 8 did a phenomenal job of wrapping up the series. Gun to my head it's season 4, but all 8 were excellent.
I think what people (FINALLY!) realised about S4 in retrospect is that the show did something that not may TV shows have the nerve to do: It shook the formula up BEFORE things got stale!
I gave David Shore and TPTB props for that from the get go. Granted some things were mishandled but I really believe, taking a step back and looking at the big picture, that S4 really allowed the show to grow, and after so long I also think the majority of the fans feel the same, which is why it has become a popular season.
I think I've answered that before the 8 th season was over. Maybe it's the 6 th and 7 th. I found the finale was good, but I didn't like the first episodes of season 8.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
best of them all was season 2
ReplyDeleteI think that the best seasons were 2,3,5 this is hard to choose but I think iam gonna with 5
ReplyDeleteI really liked 4. Cutthroat Bitch was always good fun.
ReplyDeleteSeason 4 all the way
ReplyDeleteSeason 1 for me

I think Season 4.
ReplyDeleteIt's a tie between season 1, 2 and 3, those were the best.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say its between S1 thru 4,really hard to say,but the last12 episodes were outstanding,as good if not better than the last 4 years....
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone remember what season it was when Amber and House were in the bus accident and she died? For that matter the name of that episode?
Season 4, even though it was short, I loved the Games arc, it was just fun
ReplyDeleteHouse's Head and Wilson's Heart were the two episodes about the bus crash.
ReplyDeleteS2 I would say, S1-S4 were all really great, even S5 was pretty good but then the show really dipped in quality IMO
ReplyDeleteCould you make such a poll with the Desperate Housewives seasons? I'd love that...

For the life of me i couldn't remember and i just saw it a week ago. Thanks MurderMondays!
ReplyDeleteFour, tbh. It was a pretty good year, and the season finale remains my favorite episodes.
ReplyDeleteI need at least three votes... I think season 2,4 and 6 were the best ones!
ReplyDeleteThe Huddy seasons are the least-liked according to this poll. Coincidence? I think not.

I love all the seasons but I have always liked more the first time!!! They will be missed...
ReplyDeleteAll, except the last season!
ReplyDelete1-6 was amazing...
ReplyDeleteI think what people are now also realizing is that season 4 was easily more fun than all of the other seasons of House.
ReplyDeleteI think I've answered that before the 8 th season was over. Maybe it's the 6 th and 7 th. I found the finale was good, but I didn't like the first episodes of season 8.
ReplyDeleteWhat about speak? Just a Huddy fans woke up a little bit later ;)
