In the promo when she went off the bridge I was like she's going to turn because (though I didn't read them) that's how she dies in the books. Sad to see Rick go but I get what they meant by leaving it open for him based on if Matt Davis's pilot gets picked up. Bonnie is finally doing something for herself, I dislike her character mostly cause she's annoying but I guess she did something right. Does this mean Tyler is dead? Was Tyler put into Klaus' body and burned or is he inside like a possession? Also didn't Breaking Dawn part I kind of end in the same way lol (though I'm not complaining), it was kind of a perfect ending. Loved the scene they put in with her and Damon which I guess she will now remember, which is why they threw in the line of if they had met first since they did. She will also remember when Damon said he loved her after Rose kidnapped her =O. I guess Bonnie is destined to have her friends die and become vamps lol. Wonder who Elena will kill first? Did anyone else die that I'm forgetting...I guess we assume Matt lived. Originals better get out of town so Salvatores can deal with Vamp Elena. They better not do a time jump after this finale like they did last season! It should be like season 1, pick up exactly where they left off :D
I'm glad they turned her, it was getting time to do that. Sad about Tyler though! He was finally alright lol. Wonder if Klaus will pretend to keep being Tyler and get together with Caroline which we all know he wants =P
I did not think it was possible but they managed to make even worse episode than previous finale, than whole sacrifice story, than Ghost World, than all bad parts of S3 merged together.
The episode has hit all the wrong notes.
It did nothing for Elena's character and flashbacks were pointless - they gave us nothing interesting and Elena remains boring and character-less EVEN in flashbacks so one can't just pass it to "post traumatic stress disorder" anymore. She was always bella swan.
Klaus in Tyler body was just LOL. Out of nowhere, just like a lot of things this season.
The "romance" scene with steffie was emotionless and bland and felt like something out of twilight. Same with Damon phonecall.
Turning gave no emotions to the viewer. NO reason to care about Elena or well, anything on what she is. BOORING. We have no reason to care about her loss of normal life, because her normal life development has complexity of first grader's math homework.
The only question remains is - HOW WORSE can this show get next season? I for one, am fed up with this already and won't be back.
Overall this show had a LOT of potential, but after first season writers just lost their way and started to do nonsense. The show completely went off any sensible direction right after Masquerade, with them having put Katherine in a tomb. Season two sacrifice story was horrible. Elena characterization was a pure mary sue stuff of nightmares, she did not react to anything and the show established that death means nothing.
A lot of us hoped that after horrible finale something would change - steffie was supposedly bad and all that stuff and "nothing was the same" ...sadly S3 was worse. The show managed to waste all the "twists" of S2 finale, making the main trio even more unlikeable and bland, wasted perfect good villain, Klaus turning him into wussy and introduced a bunch of characterless "originals".
Whats worse, S3 had absolutely no direction. Every episode we would return to exact same point of story, bringing nothing new to the table. TVD was a headless chicken, running around the farm in all directions and bumping into the walls.
Overall looking back, I still question on why the hell did they not turn Elena in the end of season one? Because ultimately both S2 and S3 were entirely pointless downward ride towards mediocrity till the point when show was not even enjoyable as trainwreck.
Elena is going to remember she met Damon first and the first time she told her he loved he but made her forget. This may have her take a second look at her decision to choose Stefan over Damon.
HOLY CRAP ELENA'S A VAMPIRE!!!! THAT WAS MUCH EARLIER THEN I EXPECTED! Considering they have been saying oh not for a long long time but wow!!! Alaric if finally gone although I will miss him terribly and i guess his new show cult is probably a go if he is dead. Im glad tho Jeremy got to see him one last time. And Damon saw Elena first after all! But now that Elena is a vampire, like Caroline she will regain the memory Damon took from her like how caroline remembered the abuse he did to her. So I wonder if then she’ll pick Damon in season 4! Lets see what else Klaus is still alive! And now in Tyler’s body thanks to good old turned mean traitor Bonnie. I get tho that it did save Stefan, Tyler Damon and Caroline (that’s if Klaus was there original turner) and her mom but still that was evil! Caroline especially but also everyone else will despise her once they find out. Great ending to the season I will have to watch the show again when it comes back in college im sorry I cant leave it just turned a whole new chapter in the diaries!
Wow, I know that most of the stuff that happened at the end was speculated, but I'm still pretty shocked that the writers actually went there.
I did not expect them to actually make Elena a vampire. I figured that it would happen eventually in the series, but not quite this soon. I expect that all the brotherly bonding that has occurred will be thrown out the window the next season because Damon is going to be PISSED that Stefan made the choice to save Matt instead of her, even if it's what she wanted.
I imagine that some people are going to be pissed that Joseph Morgan (a.k.a. Klaus's original body) is gone from the show, but I thought that it was a terrific twist that Bonnie used Tyler's body to save him. It'll be interesting to see if Michael Trevino can pull off an adequate Klaus next season or not. And it'll be interesting to see how Bonnie's declaration that she's doing what she wants now plays out next season.
I didn't think that I would tear up much this episode, but they managed to the emotional scenes really well. Seeing Alaric as a ghost one last time was a fitting final send off and the scene between Tyler and Caroline was heartbreaking (mostly because Candice Accola did such a fantastic job and Caroline in pain is so hard to watch).
The choice between Stefan and Damon resulted in what I thought it would, Stefan, but that flash back to Damon being the first one to meet Elena and the compulsion to forget might shake things up now that she's a vampire and will remember. But it was heartbreaking to watch Damon realize that he had lost her (both when she made her choice and when she died). Fantastic acting by Ian Somerhalder. You could really feel that he just wanted Alaric to end it all for him when he realized she had picked his brother.
yea but now Jeremy and Matt wont be able to complain about vampires now that everyone they know including elena is a supernatural creature (tetnically so is jeremy since he's the modern day ghost whisperer) and elena is a vampire which they hate. And yea its about time but i really thought they would wait another year or two.
I wish they would have had guts to finish off Tyler for good.I gurantee Klaus In Tyler's body will be going after Caroline. It's Intresting that Bonnie saved Damona nd stefan but probally It was to save her mother.
It's going to be Intresting to see the dangers a lot of characters are now In with the new founder's council.
wow u compare it to twilight a lot and if u hate the show so much stop watching it and STOP COMPLAINING LIKE A WINER AND JUST LET OTHERS BE HAPPY! NO show is perfect so just let your opinions be for u. Good riddance to people like u who hate the show but watch it still just to ruin everyones day.
dude no it wasnt i dont get why people say that. Would u really want to be vampire hooker person that wants the main character to just be a vampire that acts as a killer or any of the vampire characters. They wanted to show humanity to a supernatural show which was the point Elena's humanity binding them together and it worked. Yes i thought it was very soon since also the books didnt have her a vampire right away because its about the Humanity!!!!!!! Geez!!
I hate the loss of Tyler. I don't want Klaus in his body but in Klaus' body. Sheesh. I really like Joseph Morgan. The loss of Alaric was something I didn't like either. Two in one night. Elena is a vampire? She now knows she met Damon first and that he loves her. Oh boy. Well, a long summer ahead.
Week in, week out, that's all I hear from you. Not only do I not agree with most of what you say, but that if I hated a show as much as you seem to, I'd have dropped its sorry ass a long long time ago.
Her choice made perfect sense for the time, though now she's a vampire, Damon could get a chance (his compulsion wares off, and she remembers meeting him first and his first "I love you".
Okay I hope you stop watching it next season and if you didn't like since season 3 then why did you keep coming back to watch. When I lose interest in a show I just don't watch anymore. I don't go around critiquing every single detail.
I liked the Klaus/Tyler thing simply because it creates so much stuff that the characters can work with. Very curious if Caroline will fall for Klaus. For me personally much better plot than the Elena/vampire thing cuz now it means the love triangle will be eternal..
I was hoping it'd turn out being a hybrid, it wouldn't work, as I really like Joseph Morgan, but to lose Tyler as well... I'm hoping there remains a window for Tyler to return in the future. I was expecting that if Klaus was killed, them to do what happens in Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned, and have whatever "essence" keeps Stefan etc alive into another hybrid, like Tyler.
That's what I thought too! But I remember in an interview someone (one of the actors or julie plec, I don'tr remember who) said something like: "The love triangle will come to an end in the finale" What does that mean?!
As much as I would like it to, do you really think it matters that she remembers? I mean, she already knows Damon loves her and the fact that he met her first shouldn't really matter THAT much... The only thing I can think of would be that it might help her to realize what she wants (what Damon told her).
I'm still trying to figure out what the Tyler/Klaus thing actually means... Is Joseph Morgan gone for good? Is Tyler really gone? Can Klaus get back into his body?! Ahhhh this is going to be one LONG summer... :(
I enjoyed it. Not so sure that about the bit where "Damon met Elena first", as it kinda soured the whole first season a bit, but I get why they did it. Pretty much figured that Alaric would be the character to die, and sucks that Tyler is gone (for now at least) but now that Elena is a vamp, no more hybrids can be made. I've heard that Elena does get made in the books and was wondering if/when that might happen here, but I wonder how they will address that as it wasn't a choice that she willingly made. It will be interesting to see how they proceed from here, but I'm looking forward to seeing to the meeting of Katherine vs Vampy Elena......
I enjoyed the episode but, overall, my feelings are mixed.
What I liked (or didn't mind): - Elena turning. After reading a TV Guide article yesterday, I had a feeling it might happen. - Human Elena choosing Stefan over Damon. It was the right choice at the time. - Caroline and Tyler being outed to the council. Interesting story opportunities can come from that. - The "deal" scene with Elijah and Damon talking on the phone. That was hilarious. My favorite scene. - Matt and Jeremy teaming up and using some common sense to get Elena out of town. - Alaric's death scene. After all the havoc he caused, Damon was still hit hard by his death and the knowledge that Elena was dying at the same time. Double whammy. - Forbes and Lockwood trying to get their kids out of town together was nice to see. - Caroline and Tyler had a nice moment (when they decided to run together) before Tyler's "change" happened.
What I didn't care for: - The Klaus death cop-out. So Klaus is in Tyler's body now? Total horsesh*t. Either kill him or don't. - Stefan's unwavering "it's her choice" policy. Yeah, she's free to make her own choices but if those choices are stupid it doesn't mean you can't object or argue with her. You're allowed an opinion too. - Bonnie. WTF, Bonnie? After everything you went through because of Klaus this season, you make a deal with him!? I've never thought Bonnie to be as big an idiot as she was tonight. It's like she's Rhianna and Klaus is Chris Brown. - Bonnie again. She straight-up sacrificed Tyler. Caroline helped Bonnie through one of the lowest points in her life and she repays her by sacrificing Caroline's first real love. Screw you, Bonnie. - Rebekah. Once again, her solution to everything is to kill someone and Matt pays the price. Again. People continue to be nice to her and helping her and saving her and all she does is hurt people. - I was really hoping they'd kill Kol so that was disappointing also. - Dr. Fell. It doesn't matter if you used Damon's vampire blood to save Elena. When someone has a cerebral f*cking hemorrhage, you TELL them they have a cerebral f*cking hemorrhage!
Questions: - Does Elena's choice even matter now that she's becoming a Vampire? - Now that Elena is a vampire, can Jeremy finally stop bitching about vampires? - Is Matt dead? He looked pretty dead. (He's probably not dead.) - Is Damon going to be pissed at Stefan for saving Matt before Elena? - Is Elena's transition going to put Damon's "leaving town" plans on hold? - Were Klaus and Tyler's consciousnesses switched and, if so, does that mean Tyler died when Klaus was staked? ...or is Klaus simply possessing Tyler? - Does Michael Trevino have the acting chops to pull this body-switch off? (I vote "no.") - Why does everyone give Damon a hard time about his opinions when he's almost always right? - Why is the Founders Council such a problem at this point? With Carol, Liz, Damon, Stefan, Tyler, Caroline, Bonnie, and Elena all on the same side, can't they just band together and control or overthrow the council?
If it's so awful, why are you still watching it and writing lengthy paragraphs about it? Don't like it, don't watch it. Let us enjoy it. And no, this is not criticism, this is unnecessary bashing.
Holy EFF. I was NOT expecting the Tyler/Klaus possession. And Elena's a vampire now? I assumed we were heading there eventually, but I didn't expect it to be so soon! It'll be interesting to watch that play out next season... and I wonder how much we'll actually see of Alaric? His little "I'll always watch over you" speech to Jeremy left a door wide open to guest appearances from ghost Ric.
The flashbacks were really well done. They fit into the narrative really well, and it was great to meet Elena's parents, as well as to see a happy, carefree version of her life. The scene between Damon and Elena before the crash was kind of heartbreaking... he has to live with the knowledge that he COULD have been the one to put her back together... poor guy. This was a great episode for Ian overall - we really got a range from him, and I think he played each scene fantastically.
And as is the case with all episodes of this show, there's always some comic relief to break up the angst. I was dying when Damon was yelling over speakerphone while Elijah struck his deal. So great.
I highly doubt they're calling it quits with the love triangle - I feel like the show would lose half of its teenage girl demographic if that element was taken away. It was also too predictable, I think. They never had her take a chance with Damon past a few kisses while she tried to figure out what she wanted. I feel like Elena making her final decision this soon would be a bit premature.
Not a good episode!Great performances by Matt,Candice,Paul and Michael but the episode was awful!Klaus is still alive, the Originals did nothing and I was hearing the same stuff I've been hearing on the stupid love triangle since the second season!Nothing new happened (Elena turning wasn't an OMG moment for me) and nothing came to an end!Enough with the writers' Klaus/Originals obsession!Forwood was breaking my heart again and again and again tonight!!!
I miss Joseph Morgan already. I really don't know how I feel about Tyler being the new Klaus - I was never really a Tyler fan, but I have a hard time imagining him delivering the same impact.
I'm going to start by saying I haven't watched the episode but your "rant" is littered with illogical sentences and terrible grammar. Please re-work your thoughts and present them in a more logical manner.
Ooooh, you're so right - I didn't even think about the fact that Klaus might continue to try to woo her while wearing Tyler's face. That should make for some really interesting stuff...
- Well, she'll remember that she met Damon first as well as his confession in 2x08. But the real question is - will it matter? I can't see it mattering too much, though it seemed like the writers were trying to set up Damon/Elena with all the little hints. - I hope so, he needs to get over it... - Nahhh, he's not dead... that wouldn't have much of an effect. - Damon SHOULD be pissed, I'm kinda mad at Stefan for choosing to save Matt, even though it was what Elena wanted. Like, Damon said, that's the difference between them. Damon would always choose Elena. - It probably will, they'll need to deal with that as well as the Tyler/Klaus stuff. - I vote "no" as well... Hopefully, Joseph Morgan isn't gone for good! - Damon is always right but is always the one that gets the short end of the stick... it's painful to watch sometimes :( - The Founders Council... will just add some more unnecessary drama. I don't see the point to it.
The scene with Damon on speakerphone was also my favorite, by far... I'm pretty sure I was outright giggling. And I'm still in shock over the writers taking a hatchet to Bonnie's character tonight. She's feeling a little annoyed so she sacrifices one of her best friends, who also happens to be another one of her best friend's boyfriend? FOR KLAUS?! Ugh. I can't wait to see her try to rationalize that one when the sh*t hits the fan.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who believes that Bonnie's character was really tainted by this episode. The crap she pulled was absolutely jaw-droppingly idiotic.
"- Well, she'll remember that she met Damon first as well as his confession in 2x08. But the real question is - will it matter? I can't see it mattering too much, though it seemed like the writers were trying to set up Damon/Elena with all the little hints."
Damn. I completely forgot about Damon's confession. Good call.
Well. First of all: I hate to wait for the next season.
Why is the council under Alarics control? Did he compel them? I mean they fired Liz and Carol, but they listen to him knowing what he is? If he did compel them, they supposed to be free now.
Trust Elijah? Why should she? He broke the first promise he gave her, he run off when they needed him … He can't be trusted. Neither can be Becca. Besides: Why are they so crying over Klaus. They hated him. "He is our brother" my ass. He didn't care about that when he daggered them, and they didn't care about it when they first wanted to kill him. So, why now? Makes no sense.
So glad Klaus got what he deserved. Too bad he didn't die. Bonnie is such a bitch!!! She saved Klaus to safe her friends. Got that. But why Tyler. There are more hybrids out there. And one more question: What is she going to do about Klaus now? It took them over one season to get him in that coffin. Now he is free. What's stopping him from going on (destroying Elenas life and the lives of her friends) the next season? And what does that mean for Ty? Is he dead? Gone?
I just loved the end. Elena waking up. Which brings me back to Klaus. Elena is a vampire. She is useless to Klaus. And she was the last of the bloodline (as far we know). He is gonna kill her and all her friends (like he did 500 years ago when Katerina screwed up his plan). I just hope he kills Becca first. After all she killed Elena.
Damon on the phone was super fun. I just love the guy. Poor Damon. He was so hurt when he heard that she was going home to his brother. Well, honey, more luck next season!
Is this one of those "we are the one for we are legion" things ot what? Did not know that an individual(like for example the poster i just quoted) can ALSO be an entire community. Well, one learns new stuff everyday.
Well yeah. You didn't think Bonnie was going to tell anyone about what she did, did you? She's going to keep her mouth shut and Klaus is going to be walking around in that body and no one is going to know. Well, at least not right away.
I expect Klaus to take full advantage of his new "meat suit."
sorry, not to be rude but blunt. how in the hell can he (Klaus) go back into his own body? it was staked and promptly set alight. So all you "wishing" that is kind of being ridiculous i'm pretty sure his body is ash now.
also the episode was meh, like the bulk of the meandering season 3 and Elena's self-reflection was shallow, annoying and unconvincing and i am one of the few people who still like the character. the show seems to have lost that ability , and maybe the writer, who could seemly handle many plots/ideas and not make it seem boring, tedious and complete shitting mess. nothing interesting happened here, move along, maybe to season 4.
Elijah and Becca? I want them dead. I want their heads on a sliver plate by my feet. At first I liked them most of all originals. Elijah screwed up protecting Jenna and killing Klaus. But OK. He is not so bad. But why was he so eager to get Klaus back? He can't kill him and sooner or later someone would have screwed it up and bring him back. Becca is a different story. I got it, that she hated Elena and the brothers. She trusted them and Elena stabbed her in the back. Literally. I hoped, she would realize that Klaus never cared for her. That she would stay with the others and try to get a life of her own. And now she is killing Elena? It's not her fault Alaric killed Klaus. Besides: he had it coming. And not so long ago they (both, Becca and Elijah) wanted him dead. For what she did Becca lost her sympathy points in my book.
I too think that Elenas turning could bring her closer to Damon and further away from Stefan. Depends, how far she will let the vampire nature control her.
As much as I hated Klaus, I enjoyed Josephs work. And although I like Tyler I doubt that he will be able to fit into Josephs footsteps. But if they believe, he is dead, doesn’t that mean that he has to disappear? Good luck with that! Klaus is not known for his discretion. Klaus giving up Caroline and Tylers body so she can be happy? Which world do you live in? Where were you the last season?
Dark Willow? Ow! Buffy-fan! Old school. I like that.
And Bonnie is a bitch. The first time in a long time that she actually got active and what is she doing? Saving Klaus. That Idiot that caused all she and the others have been thru. On Tylers costs. And the cost of everybody he's gonna kill. For what? To safe he mother? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't she all p.o. when Damon turned her mother to safe Elena. Wasn't she p.o. that so many people have to suffer because the brothers wanted to protect Elena at all costs? And Elena was innocent. She never wanted this. She never asked for this. She was dragged into this. Klaus caused it. That is the difference.
Jeremy. I feel sorry for him. With Elena becoming a vampire he now lost really everything because of the vampires. Vicky, Anna, John, Jenna, Ric, now Elena. He is gonna hate them.
But you're wrong about the originals. They did something. They pissed me off!!! Becca is such a bitch. I was beginning to like her again. Hoping, that she maybe will stay and try to get a life, free from Klaus. And that she kills Elena? Well, I hop she knows that the hunting season is now open. The brothers won't rest till she is dead.
I'm worried about Klaus/Tyler too. I mean they needed a year to get him into that coffin, and now he is free?
Can someone just kill Bonnie, please? I'm sure, we'll find another witch.
No, not at all. I just figured if your going to speak, at least do it correctly. Again, I haven't even watched this episode. All I'm saying is, when reading a "rant" you should be able to actually... I don't know, read it?
I think, the flashbacks were unnecessary. I mean, sure, it was nice to see Elena with her family. And we learned, that life wasn't actually easier, just because she wasn't surrounded with vampires and werewolves. But what was the meaning? Although it was interesting to see, that she meet Damon first and that the chemistry was there all along. They could use it in next season.
I think it's too little, too late. They had all season to do just that. If they hadn't dragged it along, then maybe Elena would've made a different choice. *shrugs*
Can someone just kill Bonnie, please? I'm sure, we'll find another witch.
The first time in a long time that she actually got active and what is she doing? Saving Klaus. That Idiot that caused all she and the others have been thru. On Tylers costs. And the cost of everybody he's gonna kill (and don't even try to argument, that he'll behave. Klaus doesn't behave. And he is not known for discretion. People are gonna die and it's gonna be Bonnies fault).
Silly person. Elena turning solved almost all the problems that you are mad about. Elena is a boring character, she makes bad decisions and is utterly reckless but she turns into an interesting dynamic character around Damon. Utterly this show is about love and the love triangle between the three leads. She wasn't turned season one or two because that was Stefans turn to have her heart and she wasn't turned season three because she needed time to be single. Just as she is perfect for Stefan as a human she is perfect for Damon as a Vampire. They have a chance to change her character and make her more dynamic and interesting and spend more time with the one brother who brings this out in her. Also if you're worried about their relationship being emotionless and bland, don't be. They're dating in real life and when acting off each other you can feel the sparks :)
The council wasn't under Alaric's control. What happened was, he outed Carol, Liz, Tyler, and Caroline and the council turned on them. All Alaric did was narc on them.
She's going to remember a lot more than there 1st meeting....Remember the 1st time he told Elena that he loved her?! <3
She'll remember that too along with any other compulsion she's ever had....unless the writers are going to find a way to do some WITCHY magic on her to keep her human.
I was sad actually when Tyler "kinda" died...I didn't think I would care but I like him now. I'm sure he'll be fine but now it's Klaus in his body...and he kissed Caroline (I'm sure he was happy) Poor Caroline though...thinking Tyler is dead.
I loved how they did the flashbacks through-out the episode, the car scene with her Dad so sad. My personal let down was that she chose Stefan...but I'm sure wants all the compulsion wear's off when she's a VAMP the writers will have her go back and forth again. :/
SADDEST MOMENT of the night....ALARIC! I knew it was going to happen...but his semi-funeral in 3x20 was EPIC but him saying goodbye to Jeremy and everyone realizing that if Alaric was dead that meant Elena was dead too. I am REALLY going to miss Alaric in every episode, I LOVE him and the show is not going to be the same without him. I know MD is working on other projects I just hope his GHOST makes many appearances through-out season 4!
Can someone just kill Bonnie, please? I'm sure, we'll find another witch.
The first time in a long time that she actually got active and what is she doing? Saving Klaus. That Idiot that caused all she and the others have been thru. On Tylers costs. Also agree on Becca. As I commented before: The hunting season is open. The brothers won't rest till she is dead for what she did to Elena.
Well, I think that now, that Elena is a vampire she'll see many thinks different. It could bring her closer to Damon and further away from Stefan.
My guess on Jeremy? He's gonna hate vampires eve more. Now he really lost everything because of the vampires.
I think, that none of the brothers is now leaving town, no matter how Elena choses. She is gonna need them both in this time.
Agree on Tyler/Klaus. As much as I hated Klaus, I loved Joseph. He was such a great actor. Michael is a good actor. But I have my doubts that he can fit into Josephs footsteps. Let's hope, the find someone else Klaus can possess. If it is a possession.
My point exactly about the council. Why was the council under Alarics control? Did he compel them? I mean they fired Liz and Carol, but they listen to him knowing what he is? If he did compel them, they supposed to be free now. Besides it was the brothers, Caroline and Tyler who tried to keep the town safe. Alaric wasn't that useful.
Bonnie is definitely an idiot but I don't want her killed. Shows like this need idiots like her. She gets to make the messes that all of the likable characters have to clean up. She serves her purpose by creating drama even if you want to slap her sometimes.
About Becca: The Salvatores won't be the only ones pissed at her. Rebekah is responsible for ending Klaus' ability to make hybrids so Klaus will be mega-pissed at her.
As far as we know Elena was the last of the bloodline. No more hybrids. Klaus won't be pleased. 500 years ago, after Katerina screwed up his plan, he killed her family. Well, history repeats itself. No one is safe. I just hope, that bastard kills Becca first. After all she got Elena killed and turned.
I'm not sure, if there will be a big fight between Katerina and Elena (like in the book). I just know, that Katerina won't be pleased. She hates competition. Elena is her competition. And now she is immortal. That last thing Katerina wanted (as I think it was Stefan in S2 said)
What is there to care when Elena has no character.
She has a baseline established in the very first episode of the show and thats it. She had no growth, no development as person. We did not see her react to pretty much anything and nothing affected her to the point that se is prety much a sociopath.
WHAT is there to care about her turning? Loss of her normal life? We never really got to see or experience it, nor get to see her HAVE ONE. Loss of normalcy? never got to see her fight for it or enjoy it.
I could not care less about triangle and choices between Damon the abusive misogynist rapist and Steffie the abusive alcoholic crybaby.
Elena is supposed protagonist so where is her character development? what was there for us to RELATE to her? Why should we care that she just turned?
Why should we care if she turns out a different person now? THere's no emotional pay off for turning because there's no emotional build up to it: 1) we had dozens of turnings already making vampire turning a very casual and everyday thing in the show. Its as shocking as a ringwearer getting temporary dead. 2) there's no connection to elena, nothing relatable about her for us to care on what she goes through and majority of fandom despises her guts.
If she just suddenly changes for no reason then its no better. Its still a horribly bad writing.
Caroline worked because it was extension of her character development in S1. She did not change much. Her character development was just sped up. Elena has no character development at all.
So yet again. What was the point of S2 and S3? Those seasons made triangle worse. Made ELENA more hated by fanbase too, degraded both SE and DE into something out of twilight and did not advance any of both relationships beyond what was already there in S1 finale. So why spend two seasons on assassinating whatever is left of Elena's baseline?
They fired Liz and Carol cause they covered for their vampire/hybrid kids. And no one wondered that they were listening to a vampire. A psychopath that can't be killed?
We can just hope that it’s a sort of possession. In that case he can maybe go to another body. If not, I don't think we can free Ty form him.
He made them think that Ty died. Good. That means, he has to disappear. But he isn't done with MF or Elena. By now he doesn't know she is a vampire. He'll try to grab her, cause he needs her for his damn army. Klaus can't hold still and hide. He'll be back.
So sad? It was ridiculous. I don't get Becca. She hated Klaus. He had her as a slave for 100o years. She hated him and wanted him dead. I don't understand, why she was so crying. Not long ago she wanted to help the others to kill him. Does she even know what she wants?
My problem is that they listened to him. I mean followed him. He said "Fire Liz and Carol" and they did. He said Meredith, that the council will take her license, so he told them to do that.
They had to know what he was, cause someone had to invite him in.
If they hate vampires so much, why are they following this vampire like ducklings?
We're talking about a council that had no idea that vampires, werewolves, and witches were living in Mystic Falls and attending their high school. This council isn't very bright.
They don't need Bonnie to create some mess so the others can clean it up. In S1 it was the job of Damon and the tomb vampires. In S2 it was Katerina and the originals. And in S3 just the originals (mostly Klaus).
What bugs me is that Bonnie does something stupid (knowing, that she shouldn't do it) and then she blames the others for the consequences. She and Klaus would be a perfect couple. Their actions have consequences and it's always someone else's fault.
You're absolutely wright about Becca. As soon as Klaus finds out what happened to Elena he wants her dead too. The question is who gets her first.
I'd say Klaus. The brothers will be busy helping Elena to adjust to her new life. On the other side, the brothers have the stake now. And I think, Klaus wants her dead dead, not dagger dead. He'll probably stop by the Salvatores before he goes after Becca.
It's all part of Stefan's stupid "it's her decision" policy. She kept emphatically pointing to Matt so he'd take him first and Stefan did what she asked like he usually does.
I was searching for the words to describe what I felt like it was and bashing is perfect. I specifically try to stay away from sites like IMDB because I feel like most of what is said is negative. I come here because the users are friendly, knowledgeable, fun to talk to, and I almost never see any show bashing or negativity.
So I get really frustrated when it becomes a persistent here. I have absolutely no problem with a well thought out critique of an episode, storyline, character, etc (in fact I enjoy reading some of them). But repeated negativity (i.e. show bashing) detracts from others enjoyment of the site in my opinion.
right, but you don't have to read those comments and everyone is entitled to their opinions whether you like them or not. otherwise we have nothing but a bunch of people going around wiping each other asses say how great they are. that is not a dialog of discussion and healthy debate.
On one side, I get, why he did it. Elena wanted Matt to be safe. He was unconscious, she was still fighting, so she had batter chances to survive. Besides she already lost so much and if he let Matt die to safe her, she'd probably be mad and angry and very sad.
On the other side: didn't Stefan prove many times before, that to him Elenas life (and safety) is the most important thing in this world? Why not saving her first? He could just tear the seatbelt apart and she could swim.
I would even understand that, if he knew that she had vampire blood in her system, he would take the risk. If she survives, she stays human. If she dies, she comes back to me. She comes back as a vampire, but it's better than nothing.
But he didn't know. No one knew. Not even her. So why taking the risk?
I'm not saying that people aren't entitled to their own opinions-in fact I strongly believe that everyone is entitled to whatever opinion they may have. And I actually support healthy debate between differences of opinions. Sometimes I don't necessarily agree with somebody's opinion, but I always read the board because sometimes differing viewpoints get me to view things in a different way or even change my view. I also always try to respect everybody's view, even if I don't I agree or necessarily like it.
Ultimately though there is a very clear distinction between critique and bashing. I don't ask that anybody agrees with me when I post my thoughts, but I try to be respectful and try to consider that there are people who feel differently than me (i.e. I may not like a show but I know that there are those that do, so I never go on their board just to tell them how terrible it is-to me that seems like it's meant to just get a rise, a bullying tactic). I just ask that others do the same.
Anyway I'm not going to bother to get sucked into this anymore-I should have known better in the first place than to post anything, but I did want to respond to your comment to say I don't mind opinions.
"It's her decision"? We're not talking about a dress for the next massacre called school dance, or the question of spending the weekend at the lake, or her choice about which of the borders she'll choose. Or even the question, if she wants to become a vampire or not. In all of these cases I would understand Stefans "It's her decision policy" (as you call it). But this was a question if wants to let the girl he loves most die to safe a guy he just likes.
If I were Stefan I would try to safe them both. Free Matt, than free Elena and take the both up. Shouldn't be a problem for a vampire.
Well there's also the question of whether she knew that she had vampire blood in her system. Just cause Jeremy & crew didn't know how bad her injuries doesn't necessarily mean that she didn't know that she was saved by vampire blood with the cerebral hemorrhage.
Hey! It isn't about criticism. If you don't like something, you let people know your opinion, you criticize it. Who can't handle some criticism, shouldn’t read comments. I know that some things are so predictable that it gets boring and that some characters should develop faster or better. I get it. And I accept it. This is not the problem.
I just can't remember this idiot saying one good about the show. Every week he comes here complaining about everyone and everything.
If he doesn't like the show, he should stop watching. It's not like someone is chaining him on a chair, forcing him to watch.
If you don't like the show you don't watch it.
Me for sample. I don't like 90210 or Hart o Dixie. So I don't watch it. And even if I would watch it cause there is nothing else, I would not keep on complaining how stupid and boring it is.
Everybody has his own opinion and a right to share it with others. And it's good to get other opinions you can compare with yours. That is a discussion and this is why we do this.
But he comes here every week complaining about everybody and everything.
Hearing he won't be back next season is actually the best thing he said.
One more question. You wouldn't happen to be a Buffy fan, would you?
I was wondering about your name. A few days ago I watched S3 again and the vampire Willow always said "Bored now". Can't believe I actually forgot that.
I liked the season finale of TSC a lot more!! I'm glad Klaus is still alive.... But I really liked Joseph Morgan. Too bad he's gone! :( I also think the story line is far over now.... Elena doesn't have any enemies left right now. Is Matt dead or still alive?
Possible. Vampire blood makes you heal quickly. After she woke up she probably felt it. No pain, no headache, the cut on her neck probably healed (I actually didn't pay attention to it after she woke up. You?). If she was healed she felt it. I mean she was beaten up, strangled, nearly bled dry, she cracked her head …
Meredith didn't tell anyone but Elena probably felt it.
She never wanted to become a vampire. But now it was a choice she had to make. Let Matt die an live as human, or safe him and take the risk to turn.
It could only be Stefans or Damons. I just can't imagine there are many cooperative vampires out there giving their blood so a doctor can play god and safe a few patients.
His Pilot had already been picked up at the start of the month. But this at least gives him some extra work on the side with cameo appearances on the show
I don't see how that has anything to do with the discussion at hand.
Elena has no human reactions.
She had total of three short-term trigger reactions and none of the long-term.
She reacted to steffie being vampire but not the consequences of that.
She reacted to Jenna BEING killed, but not being dead, with pretty much no mourning or consequences
She reacted that Alaric just died but not to the fact that he has died and how that should affect her life.
So yeah, she is not just a sociopath. She is a sociopath with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder as apparently she can't even pay attention to something as life-shattering as death of her close relatives or her mother burning herself in front of her.
She has not displayed any real human emotions, apart from three cases of short-term trigger reactions. There's nothing relatable on her.
Yet again, why should we care about a piece of furniture getting turned into vampire?
Great episode.Leaves room from a few very interesting storylines.
-Not gonna dwell on the love triangle. It was exactly what I was expecting. She chose Stefan, but soon she'll remember the first meeting she had with Damon and things will get complicated...again.
-RIP Alaric. He wasn't my favorite character but I liked him.Great job from Matt Davis these past few episodes.
-Elena finally became a vampire. Also not really surprised, the interviews we've read this past week hinted that pretty heavily. It's gonna be interesting to see how she'll deal and how much her personality or her choices will change.
-I liked Tyler and Caroline, they had a few very sweet things.Which,of course was the first sign that everything is about to be blown to Hell. The twist with Tyler and Klaus, that I didn't see coming.I'm guessing the same rules with the last couple possessions apply and Tyler is still alive somewhere. The writers really put him through the wringer this year,it would a little over the top if he was really dead.
-Okay,to be clear, the Originals were the best part of the season for me and I was prepared to lose at least one of them. The finale was good if only because they're all still alive(kind of).I think that sooner or later we'll see Klaus in his body again, somehow. But things are getting interesting here.Elijah gave his word that his family would leave IF they were given their brother's body back(and by the way,the whole scene with Elijah and Damon on speakerphone was the highlight of the episode for me).We already saw that without it the rules didn't apply for Rebekah any more and I'm thinking that Kol will follow his sister's lead.I'm looking forward to seeing them interact with each other while trying to find out what happened to Klaus. Also,I wonder how Elijah will react to Elena's transformation.
-Bonnie.First thing I have to say is that I'm not Bonnie's number one fan. It's not that I want her dead,it's just that if she died,I wouldn't be devastated. It's a case where the character was poorly handled by the writers,in my opinion. They got her from having no power to having too much power very fast and then didn't know what to do with her. I like where they went with her character, because now she has to live with the decisions she made and face the consequences.Let's not kid ourselves, maybe she did it to protect her mother and her friends BUT she chose to sacrifice Tyler. She said it herself,no one forced her to do it,it was her decision... Once the truth comes out(and I'm guessing it's gonna happen within the first 3 episodes of season 4),things will get ugly with some of the characters(Caroline, first and foremost).
And of course it never occurred to you, that maybe Elena is hiding her true feelings?
Jenna died. Alaric died. She faced the fact, that she is the adult now. She is 18 (she was 17 when Jenna died). And suddenly she turned from a teenager to an adult. She has to be strong and take care, not just for herself, but also for her brother that liked to solve his problems with alcohol and drugs. If she breaks, Jeremy breaks too. She knows that.
Besides: every person has his own way to deal with his problems. Some drink, take drugs, they cry all the time and become useless, others get obsessed (with cleaning, or a hobby, or working out), they get eating disorders or they hurt themselves (with piercings, or cutting themselves). With Elena, I think that she just tries to make it work for her and Jeremy. She is focusing on school, cooking and cleaning, giving Jeremy the feeling that everything is normal. Oh and there is the small fact that an original vampire that can't be killed (unless you want to lose all your friends) want to use her to create an army, other vampires and witches are trying to kill her and that she is torn between two brothers. I guess she has bigger problems that crying all the time, don't you think?
First: they believe Tyler is dead. As soon as Klaus (in Tylers Body) comes back, they'll know.
Second: The one way to keep the lie up is, if Klaus would disappear forever. Good luck with that! Klaus is not known for his discretion. Soon he'll be back. Killing and destroying lives. Starting with Elena and her friends. She died and turned. Now she is useless to him and as far we know she was the last of her bloodline.
LOL, Elena as a vampire will not shake up the show. The same old triangle will go on and on. The only difference is that she will be leaning more towards Damon, so I guess Delena fans can rejoice.
I love how a bunch of people are jumping on a guy/girl saying don't like don't watch. Shouldn't don't like, don't read his/her comments be obvious then?
Fangirls always get ridiculously upset about criticism. They DO want it to be an environment of just everyone agreeing with each other. Only "debate" allowed is, do you prefer Delena or Stelena?
Whenever Damon or Stefan don't kill each other, despite the cruel things they have done to each other - people jump up and down praising how they put family above all blah, blah, blah. If however the Originals, despite everything, do the same and values family they are awful characters. How convenient. And also, Bex killed Elena not for revenge, but because Alaric needed to die to insure her own and her family's safety. I'm sure you can appreciate that since that's all the Salvatores have been doing all season with Klaus for Elena. Or is it again different when it's the Salvatores?
And btw, before you continue your little rant about Bonnie, you should really appreciate her saving Klaus' life. Because that's why the Salvatores, Caroline, Tyler and now Elena are alive.
Sorry love, but Julie just said his body didn't completely burn. I don't know why people are surprised that she would pull something so contrived out of her ass as that's what she's been doing all season. JoMo will be back because Julie Plec loves him.
I voted awful! Why does Tyler always get treated so badly? he's gone now..i always said if he went i would too. he was the main reason i was hanging on, but that was the straw that broke the camels back. Im done w/ tvd. hope your happy jp!
I want to like Elena - and hell, I still like her better than the Salvatores just because she's not a psychotic killer. However, it is very hard to empathise with a character like Elena who gets so damn little character development. We hardly ever see her POV which is why most of the audience treats her like a non-entity. It's not like with Bonnie, who's just a convenient plot device for the show. Elena is supposed to be the lead character!
S3 has been a repetitive ridiculous mess. The kill Klaus plot(s) stopped making sense ages ago, but worse yet, why did they wait so long with trying to use the same spell as Mikael's? Then the utter cop-out of not killing Klaus. Remember when this show prided itself on being a show that would kill any character? Lies. Aside from S1's Anna, they haven't killed of a single character if the person was a fan favourite/writer's pet. Klaus (JoMo) will continue being on the show because he's a fan favourite and Julie's favourite. The only reason why they finally got rid of Alaric - despite not writing for the character for 2 seasons - is because Matt Davis got a new show.
Rebekah tried to kill Elena b/c she wanted to kill Ric,so I can't really be mad at her for trying to stay alive! But this season finale was horrible (unlike the previous two) b/c a)nothing changed and b)I felt cheated when I found out that Klaus was possessing Tyler (or they switched bodies or whatever);I didn't know when Tyler stopped being Tyler and the scenes with Tyler and Caroline broke my heart, but was that Tyler I was rooting for or Klaus? And when Evilaric killed Klaus (best scene of the ep btw) was Tyler's spirit in Klaus's body or was it Klaus's???I felt I was being played during the episode's most (supposedly) crucial moments and the whole season was apparently for nothing!!:(
What really pisses me off is that we don't know what happened to Tyler! Is he gone forever or are his soul and Klaus's in the same body???We didn't get any kind of closure on any storyline (except Alaric's).I'm not sure I'll watch the 4th season...
I'm sorry but how is it stupid to respect a girl's opinion? What I hate the most about this episode is the emphasis on how stupid Elena is and can't make any decisions. Damon whined about how stupid she is, always making dumb decisions. But if he has so little respect for her - no more than to a child - then why does he love her? Even vanilla Matt "manned up" and worked with Jeremy to kidnap her and basically treat her like a small infant. Worst of all, Stefan who respected her opinions will now have to live with the guilt of her death. The message to take away: Elena is too stupid and don't deserve to make her own decisions and people who tries to respect her are stupid too.
Yeah, Elena dying as a result of her being a martyr isn't great but how is taking away her agency any better? Life isn't about making the right choice. It's about being able to make your own choices.
Don't kill me if I'm wrong but I don't think Cult has been given a pickup order. They were just saying if it gets picked up, it will be with a 13 episode order per season. But I do think they will pick it up, so I doesn't really matter anyway :p
I did not expect elena becoming a vampire at all. You can say all you want about Julie Plec, but she sure knows how to create good finales. I'm always so shocked after a VD season finale. I wasn't feeling VD lately, but she pulled me back in with this really great episode.
Aside from S1's finale, TVD's finales are underwhelming.
They copped-out on killing Klaus - lmao. Ofc they did. I don't understand why the show tries so hard at shock value when they always end up with a cop-out. JoMo will be back soon enough and Tyler will get his body back. Then the show can proceed with its other ridiculous love triangle.
Elena was turned. I can see people rejoicing over it - but I'm pretty meh about it. Elena is not going to be more interesting. The reason why Elena is boring is because she need to be an empty vessel for the tweeners to project themselves in. And be an object for the brothers to fight over. That will not change just because she's a vampire. OTOH, I fear this mean reduced screen time for my fave, Katherine. Which I don't care for.
The Delena/Stelena twist. Great so in order to make Delena happen, Julie just retconned the entire show. If Julie could stop with her lazy AnnaXD ss writing, she would realise that there are plenty of ORGANIC ways to make Delena happen instead of sh*tting over Stelena. but it requires patience and build-up - concepts she is clearly unfamiliar with. She seriously needs to read better fanfiction for her sources of inspiration. Twilight is not an option!
And I am eternally grateful to Julie for emphasising again and again how stupid the main protagonist is and everyone but herself should make decisions about her life.
I´m not sure if Damon saw Elena first. Stefan said he was watching her because he didn´t know if she´s not Catherine. But it´s irrelevant we´re not children to play who saw her first. Honestly I´m tired of this triangle. I´m curious how Elena handle the fact she´s a vampire. Caroline and Tyler are not much different than they were as people.
See there are always unanswered questions lefts which is why it's practically custom for Julie to do a post-episode interview nowadays. So she can explain to the audience what you were supposed to see. (She clearly do not understand the concept of show, don't tell...)
Klaus' body didn't burn Klaus is possessing Tyler's body so Tyler is not dead.
Elena was so selfish, she was willing to let herself die and leave Jeremy all alone. Yet another point in the 'I Hate Elena Gilbert' column. But on the other hand, I'm glad they took a page from the actual book. No more doppelganger, no more Klaus (I hope) b/c what's the point he can't make hybrids and if he killed Elena then no more show.
Ya know, I never really cared about the character Damon and at times didn’t even like the dude, but I’m really feeling sorry for him now. My god. How many times can someone be rejected by the same girl? He’s quite literally tried everything and still couldn’t get her. Just like he lost Katherine to his brother, too. And what’s worse, you know the writers will never let Damon get over Elena because they’ll milk that triangle until its teats are spittin’ dust.
The guy’s lost everyone he’s cared about. He lost his best and only friend, Alaric. He’s lost the girl he loves, then he lost his brother. Oddly enough the last two to each other. But you could at least say that he’d get his brother back in his life when Elena dies of old age—forget that! Elena’s a vamp now and’ll live forever! So either Damon leaves and has no one or he stays and watches his brother with the girl he loves for the rest of forever. That’s gotta suck balls.
What’s more insulting? The writers think the Damon/Elena fans are dumb enough to fall for that stupid trick they pulled. The one where they had Elena meet Damon first not too long after she says to Damon “Maybe it would have been different if we met first.” Come on. It wouldn’t have been different. Even if she did remember it, it would have changed nothing. Events would have unfolded the same way. So why even throw that in? I’ll be blunt: it was a plot to keep the Elena/Damon fans still watching in vain hope. Can’t have a chunk of the fanbase bailin’. Bad for business.
Crap. Now I feel bad the Elena/Damon fans, too! Never thought that would happen.
O.M.G, O.M.G WHAT IN HEEEELL IS HAPPEN ,klaus soul or spirit inside tyler body, damon saw elena first then compel her forgot him,the bridge accident stefan save elena in one dye in the other and wake up in the hospital, vampire blood, bonnie spell (??????????)
I was so weak when this was over, cried(no really sobbed), so much going on. Get over a shock of one thing and something else was killing me. lol Great job everyone.
You're wrong. The next stage of the story IS Delena but because Julie Plec can't write to save her ass, she pulled a retcon. You're right that it shouldn't change things who Elena met first, but watch it matter on the show anyway so Delena can happen. I do feel sorry for their fans (not the crazy ones, cuz they will swallow his BS anyway) because if I was still a Delena fan I would feel cheated out of a proper build-up. Nevermind how she also just threw Stelena under the bus.
And can we talk about how damn OOC Damon was in the scene? As if S1 Damon would just immediately and calmly accept that Elena wasn't Katherine in disguise. Or how the scene makes no sense with how Damon treated Elena in the beginning.
I stopped watching Lost Girl because I could not stand the side kick, but did not go on forums and have a long drawn out rant. Really comparing TVD to Twilight?? What not enough sparkle for you? When I dislike a show as much as you do TVD, I stop watching, don't need an ulcer. lol Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
But if Klaus's body didn't burn why did he have to possess Tyler??Why did Bonnie help him take over Tyler's body? What has Bonnie been smoking these days anyway??
No denying that Damon and Stefan have a history. But they are not changing their minds every day like some other vampires.
S&D were not just brothers, but also best friends in the good old days. After they turned Damon was pissed at Stefan, cause he was jealous. It was supposed to be him and Katerina. Not him, Katerina and his little brother. And he also believed that it was Stefan that betrayed him and Katerina (what got them all killed). So he spends the next century and a half to make his life miserable. But he never tried to kill him or locked him in a coffin for a few centuries. With Elena, they still hated each other, but they were getting along. Now they are friends again. Brothers.
And the originals? Let's see
Becca: First she was following Klaus like a duckling (like she had a choice). Then she learned that he killed her mother and turned against him, wanted him killed. Then they were a happy family again, cause they tried to find and destroy the tree. That she figured that he didn't care for her and she left. Not caring if he dies. And now she was back and crying cause Klaus died. And all that in what 6 moths (MF time)?
Same with Elijah: First he followed Klaus, than he left him and spends the next centuries running and hiding. Then he wants to kill him, but that he changes his mind. That he tries to kill him again, mommy comes back and they are all a happy family. Then he wants Klaus dead again and now he came back to get him back.
Families are complicated, no denying in that. But this originals are getting ridiculous.
And don't get me wrong. The originals could be a great family. If they wouldn't be so selfish. And if they had a good leader. They were perfectly happy when mommy was here. No killings (not just among them, but also among the people in the town), no fightings, …
Of course I appreciate Bonnie saving the others (by saving Klaus). But she didn't know about Elena. And she didn't care about the brothers. Her priority were Caroline and her bitch of a mom. I'm just worried about the price the town will pay for it. As soon as Klaus finds out about Elena he'll freak. Last time (with Katerina) he killed
Ultimately you're right - they were just a supplement to the episode, and didn't accomplish a great deal... but they were necessary to show that bit with Damon which I'm assuming will come back into play now that Elena is turning, and it also showed a bit of symmetry when Matt's truck went into the river, same as it did with her parents. It kind of bookended her story.
Family doesn't always mean that they are related by blood.
For sample Elena and her friends (I mean Caroline, Matt and Bonnie, not Stefan and Damon since she loves them in a romantic way) are not related by blood. But they are closer than Klaus and his siblings.
And what would you prefer? A father that beats you up very day cause he is bored, or a lover or friend you can rely on, trust with your darkest secrets and know he/she will always be there for you?
OK, you're right. Becca didn’t kill Elena out of vengeance (not only of vengeance), but also to protect herself. But hallo, there are more ways to kill someone than drown him and an innocent guy who was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
It's the instinct of survival. But there are other ways. They could immobilize Alaric like they did with Klaus. He is out of the way, no one got killed, the originals are safe and everybody is happy.
in my opinion the important thing about the Damon/Elena-Flashback isn´t that she met him first .. i think what really matters is what damon said to her about what she really wants ..
Well the flashbacks gave Elena some of her innocence back, I think. No vampires, no werewolves. Her biggest problem was how to break up with a nice boy she actually liked but not loved. But it had nothing to do with the story. The one interesting thing was to find out, that she met Damon first. But as I said, they could have saved it for the next season. She is turned and the memories he took from her are coming back. It could be interesting to see these memories come back 1st ep next season and then see Elena confronting him about that.
Oh I see. People are not allowed to change their minds when something new happens? Gee, Elijah wanted to kill Klaus after Klaus tried to kill him? Makes no sense all. Or he changed his mind for the sake for the rest of his family. No, no, that doesn't make sense either. Or, he decided to forget all grievances in an attempt to be a family? Gosh, how terrible of him. Rebekah coddled her brother to make up for their abusive father - she so stupid! Rebekah finds out that Klaus killed their mother and lied about it for 1000 years, nope why should that be enough to make a girl pissed off. She finds out their mother is alive and trying to kill them, and see her family scatter and only has Klaus left - why would that make her attached to Klaus?!!!
The show continuous to tell us how the Salvatores, no matter what, puts each other above all, but it's inconceivable for you to accept that the same applies to the Originals.
I never claimed that Bonnie thought about Elena. I suggested that it was actually a good thing that Bonnie pulled that (contrived) little spell since it actually keeps her friends alive.
I see that you don't. I never claimed blood is ALWAYS thicker than water. I asked you if you understand the concept, if you understand that it is something people feel?!!!
Just because the Originals are not close, that doesn't mean they don't love each other. Even at Klaus' worst he could never really kill his family which is why he carried their bodies around instead of dumping them in the ocean.
Oh and the way Klaus commands Bex around eerily reminds me of how Damon talks and commands Elena around. Ahh, true love.
" How else can she make Klaroline more creepy?"->THIS! Klaroline fans are clearly not Caroline's fans!!Do they even realize that Klaus kills anyone who disagrees with him??Caroline is not an Original;she can't be daggered! As soon as she does sth to piss Klaus off she's dead!!
Exactly. It makes no sense, that scene. Damon was far from calm and emotionally sane back then. He'd just have a nice little chat with someone who looks like the woman he’s been obsessed over for 100-something years and then leave nice and smirky-like? What the hell?
But I disagree about the Damon/Elena thing. Plec has a hard-on for Elena/Stefan. So, if I'm wrong and you're right and something does happen between Elena and Damon, I'm fairly certain that in the end Damon will once again suffer because Elena will run back to Stefan. Always. So, again, what’s the point of drawing out this tiresome love triangle? It’s insulting to everyone’s intelligence, regardless of who one likes/doesn’t like.
Of course people can change their minds. You're twisting every word I said. I meant that some of the originals are changing their minds to often and to radically.
It goes from one extreme to another. First, they trust each other without doubts and without hesitation, the next day they try to kill another.
You know what I think the problem is? They change their mind but don't solve the problem. They all tried to kill Klaus and then Mommy came and everything was perfect. A happy family. The conflicts stayed. Mommy made them play nice. When she tried to kill them they were standing together and protected themselves. When she left the conflicts and the anger surfaced again and they all got separate ways. Their lives depends on them working together? No problem. But then they remember what happened and they are not a loving family anymore.
Maybe they should all go to therapy.
"The show continuous to tell us how the Salvatores, no matter what, puts each other above all, but it's inconceivable for you to accept that the same applies to the Originals." Sorry, but I can't completely agree. The brothers stick together, true. Each other above all? Maybe if there isn’t Elena involved. If a Salvatore hat to choose between his brother and Elena, don't ask me what the decision would be. And as for the originals? Hard to say. I'd say, that yes, the family is important. But if we take Klaus for sample. If he had to choose his life or the rest of his family, he'd chose himself. The originals stick together. As long as their survival depends on it. But I believe that some other originals (Becca and Elijah) value the family more than Klaus. So it depends on every character.
Of course I get the concept that blood is thicker than water. I just said, it's not what makes someone family.
"Even at Klaus' worst he could never really kill his family which is why he carried their bodies around instead of dumping them in the ocean." First he had no weapon to kill them. The tree was burned 1000 years ago and daddy had the only weapon. And I believe that he was carrying them with him all the time to make sure no one wakes them up. Besides. If he would just dump them into the ocean he would have no chance to get them back, if he needed anything. Like the necklace form Becca.
"Oh and the way Klaus commands Bex around eerily reminds me of how Damon talks and commands Elena around." Damon had bad manners at the beginning, true. But he never behaved like Klaus. And didn’t kill Elena (or daggered her and locked her away for centuries) because she disagrees with him. And that is what Klaus did to Becca. She wanted to leave him to be with Stefan (to be happy for a short time after running and hiding with Klaus for 1000 years). And she spends the next century in a coffin. Really the love in this family is simply overwhelming.
First of all, I hate that "Delena" and "Stelena" has become so integral in the eyes of many fans online. Second, it's not the criticism that is the problem, it's the week in, week out bashing he throws at the show. I like debate, I agree the show is lacking in certain areas. What I want to know is, if I posted something like this about Supernatural or Fringe, would people defend me? (nothing against them shows, I watch one, and intend to watch the other).
Stefan may have seen her first, but Elena apparently saw Damon first. Still not sure why that has any significance, probably the only part of the finale I didn't like. Makes as much sense as the comments that it's "Damon's time" with Elena, as if she's a rental car... xD
I enjoyed the episode....I so happy she chose Stephan and was going to him then she had to die turn vampire and now the triangle starts again. I just wanted her to make a choice already please but there won't be a choice till the end of next season probably. And what was with that flash back of Elaina and Damon there was no way he met her first he did not come later and was shocked to see her in the frist season cause she looked like Kathrine...pulling my hair out!
I agree with you about this, she had no reason not to kill Elena, since the only real big danger to her was Alaric. That and the constant daggering was turning into a joke.
Yet again, Buffy example. THAT IS how one writes an idea of a girl who represses her feelings. Elena has not enough character growth to even understand half of what she does on screen.
Jenna died. she did not care after one episode. Now Jenna seems to be non-existent in the show. Alaric died. no one cared. And she remains exactly the same as at the start of the show, NOT having any sort of relatable life, nor emotional turmoil and angsting over her two precious Edwards.
Writers WANT us to see her as this "Strong caring awesome holy messiah" in the end writing her as 100% mary sue. What are her flaws? emotions? how does she react to her surroundings? what are her darker sides of personality? WHERE THE HELL IS HER PERSONALITY?
Elena is focusing on school? Funny since she only attends dances and we NEVER actually saw her actually study or talk about school or what she wants in her academic life. WIth her current IQ its unlikelly she will even enter a college.
Cooking? never saw that.
Giving feeling that everything is normal while its not? Where is the writing to back up and NARRATE that to us?
And yeah, originals. Yet another thing she never had any emotional reaction, turmoil or conflict towards.
She surely has a lot of stuff happened in her life that would be perfect to build her character around. Hell the whole Katherine mess and finding out that you have an evil twin and that you will have to die. SO MUCH character material here and the show just completely and utterly ignored that to continue leaving her bland and personality-less.
Seriously, Its good to create your own fanfics over character, but Show does not tell us any of that, does not SHOW US and that stuff remains a fanfic.
Personally I like how they try and bring family before other commitments, both with the Salvatores, and the Originals; and agree with you about people having double standards.
Did anyone else think that when Klaus died and none of the main characters did that he was lying and that there was another original (Tatia) that actually started the bloodline? Amazing episode none the less, but Klaus's eyes were open and he seemed alive when Alaric staked him, was that Tyler in Klaus's body cause that would have been horrible, watching your own death without being able to do anything about it.
I cannot answer for either fandoms as I watch neither. I can certainly understand getting passionate over a show, I can also understand bitterness when a show doesn't live up to its potential. And I understand why people would want to rant about it. I see no reason for why that should be a problem for fans to accept. As long as his/her rant is related to TVD, then he/she is free to express any opinion. Since people are so eager to advise him/her not to continue watching the show, I suggest people take their own advice and simply not read his/her rants.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
All I can say is wow
ReplyDeleteWho did she pick????
ReplyDeleteStefen....
DeleteStefen....
DeleteWOW The last 15mins had me in chills I cant wait for Season 4 now!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell Tyler Is gone and the actor Is now vessal for spirit of Klaus. They keep Klaus on show without original actor.
ReplyDeleteAlaric Is now dead but the door Is open for Matt Davis to make appearances as ghost
The bigger shock Is Elena will now be a Vampire and she will remember she met Damon first.
I thought they would never turn her untill final season.wow.This will affect the triangle.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they turned her, it was getting time to do that. Sad about Tyler though! He was finally alright lol. Wonder if Klaus will pretend to keep being Tyler and get together with Caroline which we all know he wants =P
ReplyDeleteOkay this was a hilarious trainwreck.
ReplyDeleteI did not think it was possible but they managed to make even worse episode than previous finale, than whole sacrifice story, than Ghost World, than all bad parts of S3 merged together.
ReplyDeleteIt was boring, predictable and disappointing. It sucked sooooo bad!!!
ReplyDeleteHOLY CRAP ELENA'S A VAMPIRE!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, I know that most of the stuff that happened at the end was speculated, but I'm still pretty shocked that the writers actually went there.
ReplyDeleteI did not expect them to actually make Elena a vampire.
Fantastic finale! Can't wait for next season!
STELENA ALL THE WAY!!
ReplyDeleteyea but now Jeremy and Matt wont be able to complain about vampires now that everyone they know including elena is a supernatural creature (tetnically so is jeremy since he's the modern day ghost whisperer) and elena is a vampire which they hate. And yea its about time but i really thought they would wait another year or two.
ReplyDeleteI wish they would have had guts to finish off Tyler for good.I gurantee Klaus In Tyler's body will be going after Caroline. It's Intresting that Bonnie saved Damona nd stefan but probally It was to save her mother.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be Intresting to see the dangers a lot of characters are now In with the new founder's council.
Elena as Vampire Is going to shake up show.
"this soon"?
ReplyDeleteTurning has been already two seasons too late.
wow u compare it to twilight a lot and if u hate the show so much stop watching it and STOP COMPLAINING LIKE A WINER AND JUST LET OTHERS BE HAPPY! NO show is perfect so just let your opinions be for u. Good riddance to people like u who hate the show but watch it still just to ruin everyones day.
ReplyDeleteAmazing.
ReplyDeletedude no it wasnt i dont get why people say that. Geez!!
ReplyDeletecriticism. look it up. deal with it :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad they finally made her a vampire and almost the same way as the book. I just wish she chose Damon and not Stefan.
ReplyDeletePerfect.
ReplyDeleteThat would work if Elena was a character. She really really was not.
ReplyDeleteShe was as exciting as Bella Swan :) Just with a bitt better actress
I hate the loss of Tyler. I don't want Klaus in his body but in Klaus' body. Sheesh. I really like Joseph Morgan. The loss of Alaric was something I didn't like either. Two in one night. Elena is a vampire? She now knows she met Damon first and that he loves her. Oh boy. Well, a long summer ahead.
ReplyDeleteI'm in shock! ...
ReplyDeleteCan't you just go on a huge rant about it instead?
ReplyDelete*In my opinion
ReplyDeleteStop forcing your thoughts on the show down people's throats as factual knowledge. Your opinion isn't definitive.
ReplyDeleteWriting guidelines, the very basic rules of how one writes a character are not an opinion.
ReplyDeleteElena as character falls apart at the very basic level of writing theory :)
amazing doesnt even covering it!!!!!!!! i was actually histerical for like the last 30 mins of it so i just had to rewatch it =) IT WAS SO GOOD!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite episode from all seasons!
ReplyDeleteWeek in, week out, that's all I hear from you. Not only do I not agree with most of what you say, but that if I hated a show as much as you seem to, I'd have dropped its sorry ass a long long time ago.
ReplyDeleteHer choice made perfect sense for the time, though now she's a vampire, Damon could get a chance (his compulsion wares off, and she remembers meeting him first and his first "I love you".
ReplyDeleteOkay I hope you stop watching it next season and if you didn't like since season 3 then why did you keep coming back to watch. When I lose interest in a show I just don't watch anymore. I don't go around critiquing every single detail.
ReplyDeleteI liked the Klaus/Tyler thing simply because it creates so much stuff that the characters can work with. Very curious if Caroline will fall for Klaus. For me personally much better plot than the Elena/vampire thing cuz now it means the love triangle will be eternal..
ReplyDeleteI was hoping it'd turn out being a hybrid, it wouldn't work, as I really like Joseph Morgan, but to lose Tyler as well... I'm hoping there remains a window for Tyler to return in the future. I was expecting that if Klaus was killed, them to do what happens in Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned, and have whatever "essence" keeps Stefan etc alive into another hybrid, like Tyler.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought too! But I remember in an interview someone (one of the actors or julie plec, I don'tr remember who) said something like: "The love triangle will come to an end in the finale" What does that mean?!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I would like it to, do you really think it matters that she remembers? I mean, she already knows Damon loves her and the fact that he met her first shouldn't really matter THAT much... The only thing I can think of would be that it might help her to realize what she wants (what Damon told her).
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to figure out what the Tyler/Klaus thing actually means... Is Joseph Morgan gone for good? Is Tyler really gone? Can Klaus get back into his body?! Ahhhh this is going to be one LONG summer... :(
ReplyDeleteI sold called that like weeks ago Elena Vampire.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it.
ReplyDeletewell in the books kat fights elena and they both die so.....
ReplyDeleteStunned to silence! I need to get my thoughts together.
ReplyDeleteIf Elena was in Transition she would remember that if it happened.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the episode but, overall, my feelings are mixed.
ReplyDeleteWhat I liked (or didn't mind):
- Elena turning.
What I didn't care for:
- The Klaus death cop-out.
Questions:
- Does Elena's choice even matter now that she's becoming a Vampire?
- Now that Elena is a vampire, can Jeremy finally stop bitching about vampires?
- Is Matt dead? He looked pretty dead. (He's probably not dead.)
- Is Damon going to be pissed at Stefan for saving Matt before Elena?
- Is Elena's transition going to put Damon's "leaving town" plans on hold?
- Were Klaus and Tyler's consciousnesses switched and, if so, does that mean Tyler died when Klaus was staked? ...or is Klaus simply possessing Tyler?
- Does Michael Trevino have the acting chops to pull this body-switch off? (I vote "no.")
- Why does everyone give Damon a hard time about his opinions when he's almost always right?
- Why is the Founders Council such a problem at this point? With Carol, Liz, Damon, Stefan, Tyler, Caroline, Bonnie, and Elena all on the same side, can't they just band together and control or overthrow the council?
am talking about the books elena fights kat not in the show
ReplyDeleteIf it's so awful, why are you still watching it and writing lengthy paragraphs about it? Don't like it, don't watch it. Let us enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteAnd no, this is not criticism, this is unnecessary bashing.
ReplyDeleteThe flashbacks were really well done.
So great.
what a freaking ending those really make you want to scream out NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO we gotta wait till september to see what happens next
ReplyDeleteI highly doubt they're calling it quits with the love triangle - I feel like the show would lose half of its teenage girl demographic if that element was taken away. It was also too predictable, I think. They never had her take a chance with Damon past a few kisses while she tried to figure out what she wanted. I feel like Elena making her final decision this soon would be a bit premature.
ReplyDeleteNot a good episode!Great performances by Matt,Candice,Paul and Michael but the episode was awful!Klaus is still alive, the Originals did nothing and I was hearing the same stuff I've been hearing on the stupid love triangle since the second season!Nothing new happened (Elena turning wasn't an OMG moment for me) and nothing came to an end!Enough with the writers' Klaus/Originals obsession!Forwood was breaking my heart again and again and again tonight!!!
ReplyDeleteI miss Joseph Morgan already. I really don't know how I feel about Tyler being the new Klaus - I was never really a Tyler fan, but I have a hard time imagining him delivering the same impact.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to start by saying I haven't watched the episode but your "rant" is littered with illogical sentences and terrible grammar. Please re-work your thoughts and present them in a more logical manner.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
SpoilerTV Community.
Ooooh, you're so right - I didn't even think about the fact that Klaus might continue to try to woo her while wearing Tyler's face. That should make for some really interesting stuff...
ReplyDelete- Well, she'll remember that she met Damon first as well as his confession in 2x08. But the real question is - will it matter? I can't see it mattering too much, though it seemed like the writers were trying to set up Damon/Elena with all the little hints.
ReplyDelete- I hope so, he needs to get over it...
- Damon is always right but is always the one that gets the short end of the stick... it's painful to watch sometimes :(
- The Founders Council... will just add some more unnecessary drama. I don't see the point to it.
Damon on speakerphone was the best part of the finale for me.
ReplyDeleteThe scene with Damon on speakerphone was also my favorite, by far...
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree. They're most likely gonna drag on the triangle for the whole six seasons... I just don't know why they said that.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who believes that Bonnie's character was really tainted by this episode. The crap she pulled was absolutely jaw-droppingly idiotic.
ReplyDelete"- Well, she'll remember that she met Damon first as well as his
ReplyDeleteconfession in 2x08. But the real question is - will it matter? I can't
see it mattering too much, though it seemed like the writers were trying
to set up Damon/Elena with all the little hints."
Damn. I completely forgot about Damon's confession. Good call.
Well. First
ReplyDeleteof all: I hate to wait for the next season.
Why is the council
under Alarics control? Did he compel them? I mean they fired Liz and Carol, but
they listen to him knowing what he is? If he did compel them, they supposed to
be free now.
Trust Elijah?
Why should she? He broke the first promise he gave her, he run off when they needed
him … He can't be trusted. Neither can be Becca. Besides: Why are they so
crying over Klaus. They hated him. "He is our brother" my ass. He didn't
care about that when he daggered them, and they didn't care about it when they
first wanted to kill him. So, why now? Makes no sense.
So glad
Klaus got what he deserved. Too bad he didn't die. Bonnie is such a bitch!!! She
saved Klaus to safe her friends. Got that. But why Tyler. There are more
hybrids out there. And one more question: What is she going to do about Klaus
now? It took them over one season to get him in that coffin. Now he is free. What's
stopping him from going on (destroying Elenas life and the lives of her
friends) the next season? And what does that mean for Ty? Is he dead? Gone?
I just
loved the end. Elena waking up. Which brings me back to Klaus. Elena is a
vampire. She is useless to Klaus. And she was the last of the bloodline (as far
we know). He is gonna kill her and all her friends (like he did 500 years ago
when Katerina screwed up his plan). I just hope he kills Becca first. After all
she killed Elena.
Damon on
the phone was super fun. I just love the guy. Poor Damon. He was so hurt when
he heard that she was going home to his brother. Well, honey, more luck next
season!
Is this one of those "we are the one for we are legion" things ot what? Did not know that an individual(like for example the poster i just quoted) can ALSO be an entire community. Well, one learns new stuff everyday.
ReplyDeleteWell yeah. You didn't think Bonnie was going to tell anyone about what she did, did you? She's going to keep her mouth shut and Klaus is going to be walking around in that body and no one is going to know. Well, at least not right away.
ReplyDeleteI expect Klaus to take full advantage of his new "meat suit."
(Thanks to Supernatural for the vernacular.)
Hopefully, Klaus will be back in his body soon...
ReplyDeletesorry, not to be rude but blunt. how in the hell can he (Klaus) go back into his own body? it was staked and promptly set alight. So all you "wishing" that is kind of being ridiculous i'm pretty sure his body is ash now.
ReplyDeleteYeah. I'd definitely say what's left of Klaus is on borrowed time.
ReplyDeletealso the episode was meh, like the bulk of the meandering season 3 and Elena's self-reflection was shallow, annoying and unconvincing and i am one of the few people who still like the character. the show seems to have lost that ability , and maybe the writer, who could seemly handle many plots/ideas and not make it seem boring, tedious and complete shitting mess. nothing interesting happened here, move along, maybe to season 4.
ReplyDeleteElijah and
ReplyDeleteBecca? I want them dead. I want their heads on a sliver plate by my feet. At first
I liked them most of all originals. Elijah screwed up protecting Jenna and
killing Klaus. But OK. He is not so bad. But why was he so eager to get Klaus
back? He can't kill him and sooner or later someone would have screwed it up and
bring him back. Becca is a different story. I got it, that she hated Elena and
the brothers. She trusted them and Elena stabbed her in the back. Literally. I hoped,
she would realize that Klaus never cared for her. That she would stay with the
others and try to get a life of her own. And now she is killing Elena? It's not
her fault Alaric killed Klaus. Besides: he had it coming. And not so long ago
they (both, Becca and Elijah) wanted him dead. For what she did Becca lost her
sympathy points in my book.
I too think
that Elenas turning could bring her closer to Damon and further away from
Stefan. Depends, how far she will let the vampire nature control her.
As much as I
hated Klaus, I enjoyed Josephs work. And although I like Tyler I doubt that he
will be able to fit into Josephs footsteps. But if they believe, he is dead, doesn’t
that mean that he has to disappear? Good luck with that! Klaus is not known for
his discretion. Klaus giving up Caroline and Tylers body so she can be happy? Which
world do you live in? Where were you the last season?
Dark Willow?
Ow! Buffy-fan! Old school. I like that.
And Bonnie
is a bitch. The first time in a long time that she actually got active and what
is she doing? Saving Klaus. That Idiot that caused all she and the others have
been thru. On Tylers costs. And the cost of everybody he's gonna kill. For what?
To safe he mother? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't she all p.o. when Damon
turned her mother to safe Elena. Wasn't she p.o. that so many people have to
suffer because the brothers wanted to protect Elena at all costs? And Elena was
innocent. She never wanted this. She never asked for this. She was dragged into
this. Klaus caused it. That is the difference.
Jeremy. I feel
sorry for him. With Elena becoming a vampire he now lost really everything because
of the vampires. Vicky, Anna, John, Jenna, Ric, now Elena. He is gonna hate them.
Little underwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't so much resolve the triangle, even temporarily, as it purposely creates more drama. I hope they let Damon escape it for half a season, I don
True it
ReplyDeletewasn't one of the best eps.
But you're
wrong about the originals. They did something. They pissed me off!!! Becca is
such a bitch. I was beginning to like her again. Hoping, that she maybe will
stay and try to get a life, free from Klaus. And that she kills Elena? Well, I hop
she knows that the hunting season is now open. The brothers won't rest till she
is dead.
I'm worried
about Klaus/Tyler too. I mean they needed a year to get him into that coffin, and
now he is free?
Can someone
just kill Bonnie, please? I'm sure, we'll find another witch.
Damon on the phone was
ReplyDeletesuper fun. I just love the guy.
No, not at all. I just figured if your going to speak, at least do it correctly. Again, I haven't even watched this episode. All I'm saying is, when reading a "rant" you should be able to actually... I don't know, read it?
ReplyDeleteI think,
ReplyDeletethe flashbacks were unnecessary. I mean, sure, it was nice to see Elena with
her family. And we learned, that life wasn't actually easier, just because she
wasn't surrounded with vampires and werewolves. But what was the meaning? Although
it was interesting to see, that she meet Damon first and that the chemistry was
there all along. They could use it in next season.
Agree on
Damon on the phone. Prefect.
I think it's too little, too late. They had all season to do just that. If they hadn't dragged it along, then maybe Elena would've made a different choice. *shrugs*
ReplyDeleteCan someone
ReplyDeletejust kill Bonnie, please? I'm sure, we'll find another witch.
The first
time in a long time that she actually got active and what is she doing? Saving Klaus.
That Idiot that caused all she and the others have been thru. On Tylers costs. And
the cost of everybody he's gonna kill (and don't even try to argument, that
he'll behave. Klaus doesn't behave. And he is not known for discretion. People are
gonna die and it's gonna be Bonnies fault). For what? To safe he mother? Correct
me if I'm wrong, but wasn't she all p.o. when Damon turned her mother to safe
Elena. Wasn't she p.o. that so many people have to suffer because the brothers
wanted to protect Elena at all costs? And Elena was innocent. She never wanted
this. She never asked for this. She was dragged into this. Klaus caused it. That
is the difference.
ReplyDeleteThe council wasn't under Alaric's control. What happened was, he outed Carol, Liz, Tyler, and Caroline and the council turned on them. All Alaric did was narc on them.
ReplyDeleteShe's going to remember a lot more than there 1st meeting....Remember the 1st time he told Elena that he loved her?! <3
ReplyDeleteShe'll remember that too along with any other compulsion she's ever had....unless the writers are going to find a way to do some WITCHY magic on her to keep her human.
This is going to be a LONG Summer!
Agree
ReplyDeleteabsolutely about Bonnie.
Can someone
just kill Bonnie, please? I'm sure, we'll find another witch.

Also agree
on Becca. As I commented before: The hunting season is open. The brothers won't
rest till she is dead for what she did to Elena.
Well, I think
that now, that Elena is a vampire she'll see many thinks different. It could
bring her closer to Damon and further away from Stefan.
My guess on
Jeremy? He's gonna hate vampires eve more. Now he really lost everything because
of the vampires.
I think,
that none of the brothers is now leaving town, no matter how Elena choses. She is
gonna need them both in this time.
Agree on
Tyler/Klaus. As much as I hated Klaus, I loved Joseph. He was such a great
actor. Michael is a good actor. But I have my doubts that he can fit into Josephs
footsteps. Let's hope, the find someone else Klaus can possess. If it is a possession.
My point exactly
about the council. Why was the council under Alarics control? Did he compel them?
I mean they fired Liz and Carol, but they listen to him knowing what he is? If he
did compel them, they supposed to be free now. Besides it was the brothers,
Caroline and Tyler who tried to keep the town safe. Alaric wasn't that useful.
I'm such a fan of Forwood, and that scene at the end between the two of them was so heartbreaking and sad.
ReplyDeleteFINALLY, Elena will be a vampire. SO much better.
Loved that Damon was actually the first Salvatore brother to meet Elena. Hopefully she'll remember, now that she's a vampire.
Okay, I hated seeing Rebekah scream like that when she saw Klaus; so sad.
Loved seeing Jenna again! She was my favorite character before she died. And I loved Elena's parents; they seemed like such sweethearts.
Bonnie is definitely an idiot but I don't want her killed. Shows like this need idiots like her. She gets to make the messes that all of the likable characters have to clean up. She serves her purpose by creating drama even if you want to slap her sometimes.
ReplyDeleteAbout Becca: The Salvatores won't be the only ones pissed at her. Rebekah is responsible for ending Klaus' ability to make hybrids so Klaus will be mega-pissed at her.
As far as we
ReplyDeleteknow Elena was the last of the bloodline. No more hybrids. Klaus won't be
pleased. 500 years ago, after Katerina screwed up his plan, he killed her family.
Well, history repeats itself. No one is safe. I just hope, that bastard kills Becca
first. After all she got Elena killed and turned.
I'm not sure,
if there will be a big fight between Katerina and Elena (like in the book). I just
know, that Katerina won't be pleased. She hates competition. Elena is her
competition. And now she is immortal. That last thing Katerina wanted (as I think
it was Stefan in S2 said)
Turning requires us to CARE about her character.
ReplyDeleteWhat is there to care when Elena has no character.
THere's no emotional pay off for turning because there's no emotional build up to it:
1) we had dozens of turnings already making vampire turning a very casual and everyday thing in the show.
Yes, but
ReplyDeletewhy did they listen to him? Trusted him?
They fired
Liz and Carol cause they covered for their vampire/hybrid kids. And no one wondered
that they were listening to a vampire. A psychopath that can't be killed?
Isn't that
kind of weird?
They didn't have to believe Alaric because Liz and Carol didn't really deny it.
ReplyDeleteWe can just
ReplyDeletehope that it’s a sort of possession. In that case he can maybe go to another
body. If not, I don't think we can free Ty form him.
He made
them think that Ty died. Good. That means, he has to disappear. But he isn't
done with MF or Elena. By now he doesn't know she is a vampire. He'll try to
grab her, cause he needs her for his damn army. Klaus can't hold still and
hide. He'll be back.
So sad? It was
ReplyDeleteridiculous. I don't get Becca. She hated Klaus. He had her as a slave for 100o
years. She hated him and wanted him dead. I don't understand, why she was so
crying. Not long ago she wanted to help the others to kill him. Does she even
know what she wants?
My problem is that they listened to him. I mean followed him. He said "Fire Liz and Carol" and they did. He said Meredith, that the council will take her license, so he told them to do that.
ReplyDeleteThey had to know what he was, cause someone had to invite him in.
If they hate vampires so much, why are they following this vampire like ducklings?
We're talking about a council that had no idea that vampires, werewolves, and witches were living in Mystic Falls and attending their high school. This council isn't very bright.
ReplyDeleteThey don't need Bonnie to create some mess so the others can clean it up. In S1 it was the job of Damon and the tomb vampires. In S2 it was Katerina and the originals. And in S3 just the originals (mostly Klaus).
ReplyDeleteWhat bugs me is that Bonnie does something stupid (knowing, that she shouldn't do it) and then she blames the others for the consequences.
You got that wright!
ReplyDeleteWTF STEFAN?!? WHY DID YOU SAVE MATT AND NOT ELENA?!?!?!?! I THOUGHT YOU LOVED HER!!!! Elena should have picked Damon...This is annoying...-__-
ReplyDeleteIt's all part of Stefan's stupid "it's her decision" policy. She kept emphatically pointing to Matt so he'd take him first and Stefan did what she asked like he usually does.
ReplyDeleteI was searching for the words to describe what I felt like it was and bashing is perfect. I specifically try to stay away from sites like IMDB because I feel like most of what is said is negative. I come here because the users are friendly, knowledgeable, fun to talk to, and I almost never see any show bashing or negativity.
ReplyDeleteSo I get really frustrated when it becomes a persistent here.
ReplyDeleteI don't get
ReplyDeleteit. I'm torn.
On one
side, I get, why he did it. Elena wanted Matt to be safe. He was unconscious,
she was still fighting, so she had
batter chances to survive. Besides she already lost so much and if he let Matt
die to safe her, she'd probably be mad and angry and very sad.
On the
other side: didn't Stefan prove many times before, that to him Elenas life (and
safety) is the most important thing in this world? Why not saving her first? He
could just tear the seatbelt apart and she could swim.
I would
even understand that, if he knew that she had vampire blood in her system, he
would take the risk. If she survives, she stays human. If she dies, she comes
back to me. She comes back as a vampire, but it's better than nothing.
But he
didn't know. No one knew. Not even her. So why taking the risk?
I get the
feeling, that she wanted to die.
ReplyDeleteUltimately though there is a very clear distinction between critique and bashing.
"It's
ReplyDeleteher decision"? We're not talking about a dress for the next massacre
called school dance, or the question of spending the weekend at the lake, or
her choice about which of the borders she'll choose. Or even the question, if
she wants to become a vampire or not. In all of these cases I would understand
Stefans "It's her decision policy" (as you call it). But this was a
question if wants to let the girl he loves most die to safe a guy he just likes.
If I were
Stefan I would try to safe them both. Free Matt, than free Elena and take the
both up. Shouldn't be a problem for a vampire.
I keep
ReplyDeletewondering, whose blood it was that Meredith gave Elena.
Well there's also the question of whether she knew that she had vampire blood in her system. Just cause Jeremy & crew didn't know how bad her injuries doesn't necessarily mean that she didn't know that she was saved by vampire blood with the cerebral hemorrhage.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she knew that she was going to turn :)
Hey! It isn't
ReplyDeleteabout criticism.
If you don't like something, you let people know your opinion,
you criticize it. Who can't handle some criticism, shouldn’t read comments. I know
that some things are so predictable that it gets boring and that some
characters should develop faster or better. I get it. And I accept it. This is
not the problem.
I just can't
remember this idiot saying one good about the show. Every week he comes here complaining
about everyone and everything.
If he
doesn't like the show, he should stop watching. It's not like someone is
chaining him on a chair, forcing him to watch.
If you
don't like the show you don't watch it.
Me for
sample. I don't like 90210 or Hart o Dixie. So I don't watch it. And even if I would
watch it cause there is nothing else, I would not keep on complaining how stupid
and boring it is.
damons b/c she took a bunch his blood earlier in the season
ReplyDeleteYou won't
ReplyDeletebe back next season?
That’s the
best thing I've heart from you.
!!!!!!!!!!Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!
I agree10000%
ReplyDeleteEverybody has
his own opinion and a right to share it with others. And it's good to get other
opinions you can compare with yours. That is a discussion and this is why we do
this.
But he
comes here every week complaining about everybody and everything.
Hearing he
won't be back next season is actually the best thing he said.
Yeah. And you
ReplyDeleteseem to care for no one and nothing but yourself.
Are you
even human? Do human emotions even touch you?
You would
be a perfect match for Klaus. He also cares for nothing and no one but himself.
Or Dexter,
the sociopath and serial killer that feels nothing at all.
omg I hope she remembers I totally forgot that when you turn into a vampire the compulsion wares off
ReplyDeleteI just want Damian to be with someone else, he keeps getting his heart broken
ReplyDeleteOne more question.
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't happen to be a Buffy fan, would you?
I was
wondering about your name. A few days ago I watched S3 again and the vampire
Willow always said "Bored now". Can't believe I actually forgot that.
OMG!!! She's a vampire!!
ReplyDeleteI liked the season finale of TSC a lot more!! I'm glad Klaus is still alive.... But I really liked Joseph Morgan. Too bad he's gone! :(
ReplyDeleteI also think the story line is far over now....
ReplyDeleteMeredith didn't tell anyone but Elena probably felt it.
ReplyDeleteHis Pilot had already been picked up at the start of the month. But this at least gives him some extra work on the side with cameo appearances on the show
ReplyDeleteSure,
ReplyDeletethey're cute together. And no doubt, she loves him. More than Damon.
But I still
think, she would have much more fun with Damon.
is VD catching up on twilight lol, same scenario in the final scene
ReplyDeleteI don't see how that has anything to do with the discussion at hand.
ReplyDeleteElena has no human reactions.
ReplyDelete-Not gonna dwell on the love triangle.
ReplyDeleteJenna died.
Saw it too, lol
ReplyDeleteWell the good thing is the comments will stop in Season 4 if BoredNow keeps his/her word and actually stops watching ;)
ReplyDeleteSooner or
ReplyDeletelater it will come out.
First: they
believe Tyler is dead. As soon as Klaus (in Tylers Body) comes back, they'll
know.
Second: The
one way to keep the lie up is, if Klaus would disappear forever. Good luck with
that! Klaus is not known for his discretion. Soon he'll be back. Killing and
destroying lives. Starting with Elena and her friends. She died and turned. Now
she is useless to him and as far we know she was the last of her bloodline.
Let's hope so.
ReplyDeleteHe/she is really getting on my nerves.
That would be rape. Not that the show has been above doing that to Caroline, what's with Damon's treatment of her in S1.
ReplyDeleteKlaus will be back in his own body. I dunno why people really think JoMo is gone.
Bonnie also saved Caroline.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Elena as a vampire will not shake up the show. The same old triangle will go on and on. The only difference is that she will be leaning more towards Damon, so I guess Delena fans can rejoice.
Tyler is not gone. Klaus is just possessing his body.
ReplyDeleteA+
ReplyDeleteI love how a bunch of people are jumping on a guy/girl saying don't like don't watch. Shouldn't don't like, don't read his/her comments be obvious then?
Fangirls always get ridiculously upset about criticism. They DO want it to be an environment of just everyone agreeing with each other. Only "debate" allowed is, do you prefer Delena or Stelena?
Some people really thought that Elena would choose Damon? LOL. Seriously?
ReplyDeletei dont get it, cos matt supposed to be alive cos stefan save him, isn't he?
ReplyDeleteplus, i dont like elena become vampire, bcos then she would probably end up the same as katherine
ReplyDeleteWhenever Damon or Stefan don't kill each other, despite the cruel things they have done to each other - people jump up and down praising how they put family above all blah, blah, blah.
ReplyDeleteAnd btw, before you continue your little rant about Bonnie, you should really appreciate her saving Klaus' life.
ReplyDeleteI voted awful! Why does Tyler always get treated so badly? he's gone now..i always said if he went i would too. he was the main reason i was hanging on, but that was the straw that broke the camels back. Im done w/ tvd. hope your happy jp!
ReplyDeleteI want to like Elena - and hell, I still like her better than the Salvatores just because she's not a psychotic killer. However, it is very hard to empathise with a character like Elena who gets so damn little character development. We hardly ever see her POV which is why most of the audience treats her like a non-entity. It's not like with Bonnie, who's just a convenient plot device for the show. Elena is supposed to be the lead character!
ReplyDeleteS3 has been a repetitive ridiculous mess.
Do you understand the concept that blood is thicker than water?
ReplyDeleteRebekah tried to kill Elena b/c she wanted to kill Ric,so I can't really be mad at her for trying to stay alive! And when Evilaric killed Klaus (best scene of the ep btw) was Tyler's spirit in Klaus's body or was it Klaus's???I felt I was being played during the episode's most (supposedly) crucial moments and the whole season was apparently for nothing!!:(
ReplyDeleteWhat really pisses me off is that we don't know what happened to Tyler! Is he gone forever or are his soul and Klaus's in the same body???We didn't get any kind of closure on any storyline (except Alaric's).I'm not sure I'll watch the 4th season...
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but how is it stupid to respect a girl's opinion? What I hate the most about this episode is the emphasis on how stupid Elena is and can't make any decisions. Damon whined about how stupid she is, always making dumb decisions. But if he has so little respect for her - no more than to a child - then why does he love her? Even vanilla Matt "manned up" and worked with Jeremy to kidnap her and basically treat her like a small infant. Worst of all, Stefan who respected her opinions will now have to live with the guilt of her death. The message to take away: Elena is too stupid and don't deserve to make her own decisions and people who tries to respect her are stupid too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Elena dying as a result of her being a martyr isn't great but how is taking away her agency any better? Life isn't about making the right choice. It's about being able to make your own choices.
Don't kill me if I'm wrong but I don't think Cult has been given a pickup order. They were just saying if it gets picked up, it will be with a 13 episode order per season. But I do think they will pick it up, so I doesn't really matter anyway :p
ReplyDeleteI did not expect elena becoming a vampire at all. You can say all you want about Julie Plec, but she sure knows how to create good finales. I'm always so shocked after a VD season finale. I wasn't feeling VD lately, but she pulled me back in with this really great episode.
ReplyDeleteA bit embarrassing to rip off Twilight, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteSome Delena fans are pretty delusional. But Delena is happening now. That's why Julie just retconned the entire show. So she could do Delena.
ReplyDeleteAside from S1's finale, TVD's finales are underwhelming.
ReplyDeleteThey copped-out on killing Klaus - lmao.
ReplyDeleteI´m curious how Elena handle the fact she´s a vampire. Caroline and Tyler are not much different than they were as people.
Excuse me? Elijah broke his promise first? NO. Elena broke their deal FIRST by putting a dagger in him.
ReplyDeleteSee there are always unanswered questions lefts which is why it's practically custom for Julie to do a post-episode interview nowadays. So she can explain to the audience what you were supposed to see. (She clearly do not understand the concept of show, don't tell...)
ReplyDeleteKlaus' body didn't burn
Klaus is possessing Tyler's body so Tyler is not dead.
ReplyDeleteYa know, I never really cared about the character Damon and
ReplyDeleteat times didn’t even like the dude, but I’m really feeling sorry for him now.
My god. How many times can someone be rejected by the same girl? He’s quite
literally tried everything and still couldn’t get her. Just like he lost
Katherine to his brother, too. And what’s worse, you know the writers will
never let Damon get over Elena because they’ll milk that triangle until its teats
are spittin’ dust.
The guy’s lost everyone he’s cared about. He lost his best
and only friend, Alaric. He’s lost the girl he loves, then he lost his brother.
Oddly enough the last two to each other. But you could at least say that he’d
get his brother back in his life when Elena dies of old age—forget that! Elena’s
a vamp now and’ll live forever! So either Damon leaves and has no one or he
stays and watches his brother with the girl he loves for the rest of forever.
That’s gotta suck balls.
What’s more insulting? The writers think the Damon/Elena
fans are dumb enough to fall for that stupid trick they pulled. The one where they
had Elena meet Damon first not too long after she says to Damon “Maybe it would
have been different if we met first.” Come on. It wouldn’t have been different.
Even if she did remember it, it would have changed nothing. Events would have
unfolded the same way. So why even throw that in? I’ll be blunt: it was a plot
to keep the Elena/Damon fans still watching in vain hope. Can’t have a chunk of
the fanbase bailin’. Bad for business.
Crap. Now I feel bad the Elena/Damon fans, too! Never
thought that would happen.
Are you honestly extrapolating from a comment on a message board to real life?!!!
ReplyDeleteO.M.G, O.M.G WHAT IN HEEEELL IS HAPPEN ,klaus soul or spirit inside tyler body, damon saw elena first then compel her forgot him,the bridge accident stefan save elena in one dye in the other and wake up in the hospital, vampire blood, bonnie spell (??????????)
ReplyDeleteAnd apparently, week in, week out you read his/her comments. Why don't you just stop and leave him/her alone to rant?
ReplyDeleteIt SHOULDN'T matter. But it will. Because this is Julie's contrived way of making Delena happen.
ReplyDeleteYou and 90% of everyone watching. It's not like this show is subtle.
ReplyDeleteI was so weak when this was over, cried(no really sobbed), so much going on. Get over a shock of one thing and something else was killing me. lol Great job everyone.
ReplyDeleteYou're wrong.
ReplyDeleteAnd can we talk about how damn OOC Damon was in the scene? As if S1 Damon would just immediately and calmly accept that Elena wasn't Katherine in disguise. Or how the scene makes no sense with how Damon treated Elena in the beginning.
I stopped watching Lost Girl because I could not stand the side kick, but did not go on forums and have a long drawn out rant. Really comparing TVD to Twilight?? What not enough sparkle for you? When I dislike a show as much as you do TVD, I stop watching, don't need an ulcer. lol Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
ReplyDeleteBut if Klaus's body didn't burn why did he have to possess Tyler??Why did Bonnie help him take over Tyler's body? What has Bonnie been smoking these days anyway??
ReplyDeleteNo denying
ReplyDeletethat Damon and Stefan have a history. But they are not changing their minds
every day like some other vampires.
S&D
were not just brothers, but also best friends in the good old days. After they
turned Damon was pissed at Stefan, cause he was jealous. It was supposed to be him
and Katerina. Not him, Katerina and his little brother. And he also believed
that it was Stefan that betrayed him and Katerina (what got them all killed). So
he spends the next century and a half to make his life miserable. But he never
tried to kill him or locked him in a coffin for a few centuries. With Elena,
they still hated each other, but they were getting along. Now they are friends again.
Brothers.
And the
originals? Let's see
Becca:
First she was following Klaus like a duckling (like she had a choice). Then she
learned that he killed her mother and turned against him, wanted him killed. Then
they were a happy family again, cause they tried to find and destroy the tree. That
she figured that he didn't care for her and she left. Not caring if he dies. And
now she was back and crying cause Klaus died. And all that in what 6 moths (MF
time)?
Same with
Elijah: First he followed Klaus, than he left him and spends the next centuries
running and hiding. Then he wants to kill him, but that he changes his mind. That
he tries to kill him again, mommy comes back and they are all a happy family. Then
he wants Klaus dead again and now he came back to get him back.
Families are
complicated, no denying in that. But this originals are getting ridiculous.
And don't
get me wrong. The originals could be a great family. If they wouldn't be so
selfish. And if they had a good leader. They were perfectly happy when mommy
was here. No killings (not just among them, but also among the people in the
town), no fightings, …
Of course I appreciate Bonnie saving the others (by
saving Klaus). But she didn't know about Elena. And she didn't care about the
brothers. Her priority were Caroline and her bitch of a mom. I'm just worried
about the price the town will pay for it. As soon as Klaus finds out about
Elena he'll freak.
ReplyDeleteno matter what klaus does.. he is still her brother
ReplyDeleteFamily doesn't always mean that they are related by blood.
ReplyDeleteFor sample Elena and her friends (I mean Caroline, Matt and Bonnie, not Stefan and Damon since she loves them in a romantic way) are not related by blood. But they are closer than Klaus and his siblings.
And what would you prefer? A father that beats you up very day cause he is bored, or a lover or friend you can rely on, trust with your darkest secrets and know he/she will always be there for you?
Family isn't just blood and genes.
OK, you're right. Becca didn’t kill Elena out of vengeance (not only of vengeance), but also to protect herself. But hallo, there are more ways to kill someone than drown him and an innocent guy who was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
ReplyDeleteIt's the instinct of survival. But there are other ways. They could immobilize Alaric like they did with Klaus. He is out of the way, no one got killed, the originals are safe and everybody is happy.
in my opinion the important thing about the Damon/Elena-Flashback isn´t
ReplyDeletethat she met him first .. i think what really matters is what damon said
to her about what she really wants ..
And Bex should go through alll that trouble for people who tried to kill her again and again? Riiiiiigtht.
ReplyDeleteWell the flashbacks gave Elena some of her innocence back, I think.
ReplyDeleteIf he'd be my brother and would have done to me what Klaus did to her, I'd be glad he's finally gone and I'm final free.
ReplyDeleteWhat would I do with all this freedom?
Oh, please! She is a 1000 years old vampire. And she won't get any older or fatter if she waits an hour or two till Elena is home and alone.
ReplyDeleteOh I see.
ReplyDeleteThe show continuous to tell us how the Salvatores, no matter what, puts each other above all, but it's inconceivable for you to accept that the same applies to the Originals.
ReplyDeleteJust because the Originals are not close, that doesn't mean they don't love each other. Even at Klaus' worst he could never really kill his family which is why he carried their bodies around instead of dumping them in the ocean.
Oh and the way Klaus commands Bex around eerily reminds me of how Damon talks and commands Elena around. Ahh, true love.
Bonnie transferred Klaus into Tyler to keep Klaus alive. Because if Klaus died, everyone - the Salvatores, Caroline, Tyler, her mother would die.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why she chose Tyler. But I can certainly imagine why Julie Plec chose Tyler. How else can she make Klaroline more creepy?
Well. If he compelled her to go after what she really wants, that would mean Stefan is what she really wants, no?
ReplyDelete" How else can she make Klaroline more creepy?"->THIS! Klaroline fans are clearly not Caroline's fans!!Do they even realize that Klaus kills anyone who disagrees with him??Caroline is not an Original;she can't be daggered! As soon as she does sth to piss Klaus off she's dead!!
ReplyDeleteOh, please! Why should she afford them any courtesy at all exactly?
ReplyDeleteExactly. It makes no sense, that scene. Damon was far from
ReplyDeletecalm and emotionally sane back then. He'd just have a nice little chat with someone
who looks like the woman he’s been obsessed over for 100-something years and then leave nice and
smirky-like? What the hell?
But I disagree about the Damon/Elena thing. Plec has a hard-on
for Elena/Stefan. So, if I'm wrong and you're right and something does happen
between Elena and Damon, I'm fairly certain that in the end Damon will once
again suffer because Elena will run back to Stefan. Always. So, again, what’s
the point of drawing out this tiresome love triangle? It’s insulting to
everyone’s intelligence, regardless of who one likes/doesn’t like.
Eh, that feels cheap. Not my cuppa.
ReplyDeleteOf course people can change their minds. You're twisting every word I said.
ReplyDeleteI meant that some of the originals are changing their minds to often and to radically.
If a Salvatore hat to choose between his brother and Elena,
don't ask me what the decision would be. And as for the originals? Hard to
say. I'd say, that yes, the family is important. But if we take Klaus for
sample. If he had to choose his life or the rest of his family, he'd chose
himself. The originals stick together. As long as their survival depends on
it. But I believe that some other originals (Becca and Elijah) value the
family more than Klaus. So it depends on every character.
Exactly.
ReplyDeleteThere could be other descendants of Katerina's bloodline. Elena is highly unlikely to be the only one.
ReplyDeleteEach witch's spells are unique. While it's highly unlikely Tyler is gone, we can't rule it out.
ReplyDeleteOf course I get the concept that blood is thicker than water. I just said, it's not what makes someone family.
ReplyDelete"Even at Klaus' worst he could never really kill his family which is why he carried their bodies around instead of dumping them in the ocean." First he had no weapon to kill them.
ReplyDeleteSecond, it's not the criticism that is the problem, it's the week in, week out bashing he throws at the show. I like debate, I agree the show is lacking in certain areas. What I want to know is, if I posted something like this about Supernatural or Fringe, would people defend me? (nothing against them shows, I watch one, and intend to watch the other).
Possible.
ReplyDeleteThere were dozens of Petrova girls. Katerina and Isobel weren't the only sluts.
As far we know Elena was Isobels only child. And Isobel also was the only child. These are the only information from the family tree we have.
Stefan may have seen her first, but Elena apparently saw Damon first. Still not sure why that has any significance, probably the only part of the finale I didn't like. Makes as much sense as the comments that it's "Damon's time" with Elena, as if she's a rental car... xD
ReplyDeleteHis rants take up a large space, can't miss them... xD
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the episode....I so happy she chose Stephan and was going to him then she had to die turn vampire and now the triangle starts again. I just wanted her to make a choice already please but there won't be a choice till the end of next season probably. And what was with that flash back of Elaina and Damon there was no way he met her first he did not come later and was shocked to see her in the frist season cause she looked like Kathrine...pulling my hair out!
ReplyDeleteHer bloodline, nor Katerina's. She likely has other descendants.
ReplyDeleteI considered it, but really didn't think they'd have the balls to go there this season.
ReplyDeleteOh. I forgot.
ReplyDeleteFUCKING YEAH. Elijah, Klaus and good old dependent Bec survived.
It reminded me of Scrubs, when JD was away, but talked through a phone throughout the episode :P
ReplyDeleteI think she was tainted by the spell in the previous episode, and will reserve judgement on Bonnie until next season.
ReplyDeleteKlaus was about to kill Elena last episode, so I don't see him being too pissed at Rebekka.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about this, she had no reason not to kill Elena, since the only real big danger to her was Alaric. That and the constant daggering was turning into a joke.
ReplyDeleteYet again, Buffy example. THAT IS how one writes an idea of a girl who represses her feelings. Elena has not enough character growth to even understand half of what she does on screen.
ReplyDeleteJenna died. she did not care after one episode.
Why they always kill my favourite caharacter in TV?!
ReplyDeletePersonally I like how they try and bring family before other commitments, both with the Salvatores, and the Originals; and agree with you about people having double standards.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else think that when Klaus died and none of the main characters did that he was lying and that there was another original (Tatia) that actually started the bloodline?
ReplyDeleteAmazing episode none the less, but Klaus's eyes were open and he seemed alive when Alaric staked him, was that Tyler in Klaus's body cause that would have been horrible, watching your own death without being able to do anything about it.
I don't get why he didn't take both, he's strong, fast etc, surely he could have taken both to the surface.
ReplyDeleteIf they ripped it from anywhere, it was the original TVD books... which predate Twilight by over a decade.
ReplyDeleteYes, you can because Julie Plec just said it was the same spell in her post-episode interview.
ReplyDeleteI cannot answer for either fandoms as I watch neither.
ReplyDelete
