What are they doing with the Jack and Jo story? They've always been my favorite (but that's cause I'm not a huge Allison fan and they are such good friends), but this is the first time they've ever done anything and with the finale coming...I'm just so perplexed as to what is happening here. It's more than just a fake out to shock the audience into watching, which was what I thought it was going to be at first.
that's what I was thinking. Especially after Zane compared the brain to a computer, I though why not created a robot like Holly and ''transfer'' her into it?
Don't feel bad- I too have always been a Jack/Jo fan! I'm wondering too! The fact that they keep going back to it makes you wonder. I know that Jack has been after Allison since the begining of the show, but she's has been wishy/washy when it comes to Jack. Jo is and always has been there for Jack. As a person who was Friends first (for years ) - then Married, the relationship is a much stronger one. Allison (regardless of the Faux Matrix World) has always found a reason to turn away from Jack (including those during the Stark times). And the fact that Allison would go to such lengths just proves her Doubts about true feelings. Don't know where they are headed- but I'm pulling for J & J !
As for Holly n Fargo......... give her a place (SARAH), a body (Andy), or something along those lines. I miss Holly- n love the pixie - cute Felicia Dey!
Then again, with this being the last season (sniff sniff), who knows WHAT they have planned ? !
I will miss Eureka, it's crazy n endearing citizens ! ! ! !
I've been rooting for Jo and Jack to get together since the season 5 premiere. Which is funny because I started out as an Allie/Jack shipper ever since like the first episode. Now I'm disappointed that we probably won't get Jack and Jo at all. They would be awesome together <3
It was good, but geez get off of the Joe and Carter thing here, please enough is enough. I have been through 3 years of Carter head over heels in love with Allison, last year it finally starts to happen and now we get this....there aren't too many episodes left,so get to it,please!
Poor Fargo, but at least he knows shes in there, lets hope he finds a way to get her out.i would really like the two of them to be together. till next week!
I'm asking the same question..though maybe for slightly different reasons. I love their friendship and have been rooting for he and Allison to get together since the show started. This whole confession bit leaves me flummoxed. It is completely out of left field. I can't recall ever getting a sense of Jo wondering about Carter in that respect. Partially, I've always felt, because Jack has always had a thing for Allison. When Jack had accepted the fact that Allison was with Stark Jo was still a deputy. So, it wasn't going to happen then. I think the biggest problem with this is timing. If they were going to walk the road of exploring Jo and Jack it should have been when they returned from the 40s and Jo had become head of security for GD and she was no longer his subordinate. If they had done it at that point in time then they would have had the time to gradually change their relationship. What they did in stead was go from 0 to 80 with absolutely no build up. Jo just went from "my best friend' to 'I thought about hooking up' in the time with no warning.I think whether you're a Jo/Jack or Allison/Jack fan the lack of build up short-changes the fans. We deserve to watch that story unfold. And when I remind myself that they didn't know this was the last season when this ep was filmed...I can't not give them a ding for it.
As annoyed as I was last week with Jo's confession...I liked the way they left things (Hopefully they have left it and it is finished.) I really liked the disaster of the week. And The scene where Carter realizes he's sinking.... Colin Ferguson is one of the best at this kind of comedy around today. I'd, seriously, put him on a list with Dick Van Dyke.
I would love it if some clever person with time on their hands put together a compilation of his best moments.
I loved the episode! I'm not too much into the whole Jo/Jack/Allison/Zane thing either, just guessing that the writers want to give all the fans out there some kind of acknowledgment. I don't think they want to split up the current pairings, just wanted to address at least the possibility. But it seems they found some kind of closure of this whole mess up in the end. Anyways, I know I'll be very sad saying Goodbye to this beloved show, always was fun to watch. Last but not least: YAY, HOLLY! (I know Fargo and Zane will figure s/th out, they have to!)
I was always a fan of the idea of Jack and Jo pairing since the episode Maneater back in season 2 I mean the sexual harrasment demonstration was hilarious, but at this point its a little too late so glad this awkward quad triangle square thing appears resolved. And they can get back into hopefully some more light funny episodes
I think the confession was two reasonably attractive heterosexual friends will always at some point think about it. She still considers him her best friend and generally that's how he's categorized, but because the matrix brought it up, things got weird with the not acknowledging. It wasn't a let's leap headlong into a relationship, it was a hey this is bringing something up that we can't really ignore so well anymore. IMO xD
I think that they might have been setting up a Jo/Jack thing to scare Allison off one more time (because she's never chosen Jack if there was another option or the slightest obstacle), but then ::cry cry:: cancellation ::still crying:: and they didn't need a road block anymore.
I think you're right. I just think they missed laying the ground work. For example, if, in the episode before the confession, after Jo found out about the Matrix Relationship, we'd see a moment from her where it was starting to occur to her...I wouldn't have had as much of a problem with her confession.
You don't think Jack not voicing his feeling for Allison is a reason for her actions and Allison has always been there for Jack except in the matrix and who can't blame her.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
it was so sad Fargo seeing Holly in the virtual world. Knowing he can never get her out.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he can somehow. He created SARAH. And there's Sheriff Andy...maybe???

ReplyDeleteThe Jack/Jo/Zane/Allison storyline is driving me up the wall. I wish they'd end it already instead of dragging it out.

ReplyDeleteI agree but I think it's more of a Jo thinking about Jack and Jack loves Allison and I don't think he will risk that for anyone.
