  1. Interesting way to end the series. Hate the ending just a little. Barely made it through Karen's death scene. It way way too close to home.

And yay for Tom and Lynette! So thrilled they got back together.

Now that lady's secret is going to drive me crazy forever. Thanks, Marc Cherry.

  2. It was just awesome !! The end is just perfect to me ... I can't kiss them goodbye :'(

  3. I thought it was a fine finale, especially with the way it ended by having the ghosts of different killed-off characters from the past watch Susan move off the lane.

  4. well my life is officially over.

  5.  L. O. V. E. D. the full circle-ness of each character. Beautifully done.

However, I thought we were going to see more Mary-Alice Young time.

  6. I figured something serious would have to happen for Gaby to testify again, but I honestly didn't think it would be the result of Trip manipulating Bree into telling the truth and RECORDING it. And darn it if Karen's little speech on the stand didn't make me tear up... and then WHAT?! Oh my gosh, I definitely didn't expect her to "confess"! I certainly didn't see the case ending like that.

Words can't describe how glad I am that Tom and Lynette found their way back to each other! And Karen... I'm glad she got one last meddling in before she died. Speaking of, her death scene had me permanently attached to a box of tissues. I loved that woman, and it was so hard to see her go. I have to admit, part of me thought she'd make it through. She was always a tough one.

It's so weird to think of the four girls all going their different ways, though it's fitting, I think. They've grown so much over the years, and though they're as close as sisters, they started moving in different directions with their lives. Overall, it was a great finale, and a great way to end 8 years. I loved the glimpses into each of their futures, and each of them truly got a fitting end. Though of course Marc Cherry left us with that new lady's mysterious secret... he couldn't just tie it up with a bow haha

  7. Am I the only one who was waiting to see Nicolette at the end? lol :-(

    So sad it's over!

  8.  we never knew how susan's future would be.. it was left opened.
and i loved they made it that way , it's in everyone's head now to imagine how susan's future will be like :D

  9. could it be possible to have a Spin off? telling the stories of the new lady arriving to the lane?  with new secrets and misteries?

  10. Wow...I can't believe this is the end...This is just unreal...
I loved how they summed up the rest of the girls' lives at the end there. That was fantastic!
I LOVE that Tom and Lynette got back together! I was like YAY!! when they did!
And finally, I cried when all the ghost of Wisteria Lane, all the people who have died over the last 8 years, came back to see Susan off...it really made the whole series come full circle. It was a fantastic, touching way to complete the last 8 years of any Desperate Housewives fan who has watched from the beginning. I'll miss you Desperate Housewives. Thanks for a great 8 years! :)

  11. it was a very fitting end to such a worthwhile show. I think Marc Cherry really showed the cyclical nature of it all and the mysterious story of the Lane's new neighbor wasn't a hint of a spin-off, it was just the shows premise: no matter how great things are by a neighbors smile, there's always a desperate secret buried underneath. I loved it. The ladies moving on, felt like they were paving the way for this new 'generation of desperate' that we will never see, but we can only predict. Karen's death was precise and beautiful. AND MARC, if I'm right, HAVING HIS LITTLE CAMEO APPEARANCE? It was quirky to see that. I liked that everyone had their happy ending, but in a skewed sort of way. No one truly stays friends forever, or else, no one truly stays as close as they once were. And the ladies had a close eight years, so close in fact, a few years a part wouldn't mean much; goodbye Desperate Housewives!

  12. I thought it was a really good end.  I just wish they hadn't killed off Mrs. McKlusky.  I know why I just didn't really want to be struggling not to cry during the ep.  But it was a great way to keep Bree out of jail.  Really liked it.

  13.  I was waiting for that too! ;'O So sad it didn't happen... would had been perfect.

  14. Well, that was great. I loved it, and I loved the ending. Karen's death was very touching :(

It felt quite Scrubs finale-esque - old faces appearing, glimpses of the future (though very differently done) the creator's cameo.

The full circle thing was awesome :) I expected something a bit more exciting and explosive for the DH finale, but I'm actually happy with what there was.

Only thing I wished there was was Edie, but damn their stupid trial :(

Speaking of trials, the court case was solved a little too simply..

  15. I could have done without the last 30 seconds. I was surprised to discover that Renee got no flash-forward. She is still considered a housewife, right? But I care that little. Susan leaving the lane had me tearing up. When I saw Mike and all those ghosts, I cried. Shame that we didn't see Susan's flashforward.

Maybe a one with Julie getting together with this adorable doctor (Hello Judson Lyons from Hart of Dixie (Hotness)), and Susan with her grandchild..

Thank you, Marc Cherry, for eight wonderful years. To re-interpret a memorable quote: "I know what you guys did. It makes me happy and I'm going to tell people to watch DH again".

Thank you for proving that everybody has a little dirty laundry. Otherwise, the life would be boring. Oh, it would be.

    Simply,

    Thank you.

  16. It was awesome!! Sad seeing them play poker for the last time, but it was a perfect ending.
I'm really gonna miss this show :(

  17. Mikes death killed the season for me :( i didnt watch DH after that.  love all of them, I do, but I cant watch a Mikeless Susan. They were my favorite. I refuse to except his untimely death. Call me stubborn.

  18. I liked that, too. It's hard for me to imagine her being with anyone after Mike, for example, so I would have been annoyed if they'd shown her remarried. I think she'd be happy being around her daughter, her son, and her new granddaughter - they're her life now. Well, in MY mind, anyway  :)

  19. With all the bad blood between her and Marc Cherry (and their recent trial), I'm not surprised... still, it would have been nice to see her there among the "ghosts"

  20.  Yeah I f\figured there was no chance but would have been a nice surprise!

  21.  That was the one part of the finale I didn't like - I think they could have left out the narrating for that scene - we didn't need to know they never all hung out again :-/

  22. Someone help me out - who was the ghost stood to the right of Alma and Martha? I just can't place him, although I recognise him!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Agreed... that KILLED me! I would have loved to go on happily thinking that they got together at least a few times a year to play poker and catch up... I know they all went their own separate ways, but it's sad to hear that a friendship like theirs couldn't survive the move.

  24.  If I remember correctly, he was the guy who was Carlos' boss in one of the previous seasons. He was cheating and his wife stabbed him in the kitchen.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Did u know the way they introduced the characters in the Pilot : Lynette, Gabrielle, Bree and then Susan
thats how they ended the character in the finale in the same order

    ReplyDelete
  26. It was that guy that was Carlos boss and cheated on his wife, so she killed him I think

  27. Thank you both, you're right! It's been bugging me all day!!

  28. Damn it, I loved it. I am 22 years old and I cried like a baby when I saw Mike. I can't help it. This show was so good, kept me entertaint through 8 years, the ladies had their ups and downs, but in the end, they sticked together and went through it all.
I love it. Love it love it love it! Marc Cherry, you are brilliant. Thank you!

  29. i've been thinking about and i can't just make peace with it..
who is it that the ladies never got to see eachother again (cuz of the distance) if Susan and Lynette have a grandchild in common!  :S

    ReplyDelete
  30. I've been having a hard time with the fact that they never all got together again, too - it just seems so unlikely, even if their lives went in such different directions. And I'm sure Lynette and Susan saw each other - she just the FOUR of them never did again, right?

    ReplyDelete
  31.  yep that's what im thinking maybe they never saw each other at the same time, but they did see each other separately :) .. it's like their friendship wasn't strong enough to survive distance and they start losing interest in each other

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think it's more that they were never together with time to chill and play poker, as opposed to never seeing each other again. I'm not so keen on that line though, could have left it out.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, that really got to me too.  After everything they've been through together, their friendship just fades like that? So upsetting.
