Glee's season 3 Finale got a 3.0 in the 18-49 demo and a total of 7.64 Million viewers

  1. Finally a nice demo number, but it could be higher. Same for total viewers. Hoping for next seasons new slot to score better ratings.

  2. Compared to the finale last year the show has really dipped, back then it was a 4.6 demo and
11.80m viewers. Not surprised really judging by overall reaction to the season it wasn't that positive.

  3. The show did not have any competition that evening, and it still didn't get to 10 mill. viewers? I was expecting something like 12 or even 13 mill. considering there was no real competition to battle against.

  4.  I also heard bad things about this season but lots of people think it improved over the REALLY bad second season. I think so, too, Season 3 was just great and I'm looking forward to Season 4. Glee's just not the phenomenon it once was, but I still love it

  5. I agree that season 3 was better than season 2. Season 2 was a total mess.

  6. The bump is no surprise but it's temporary.  I'm expecting a significant drop-off in viewership next fall, regardless of its new Thursday time slot.

Maybe the show had too many characters and storylines at the same time. It's impossible to explain a story with so many characters and you have to left some behind.Look at what they did with Tina.I hope next season ,with a reduction of the number of the characters, they won't apear and disappear so suddenly and everybody gets a story to tell

  8. I don't expect it to fare well in its new Thursday time slot. It is up against Grey's Anatomy and Person of Interest. POI has about twice the number of viewers as Glee, while Grey's usually dominates that slot in the 18-49 demo. In comparison to Glee's finale numbers, Grey's season finale racked up a 4.1 and 11.44 million viewers.

  9. As far as we know, there won't be a reduction in the number of characters - Rachel, Finn, Kurt, Santana are all guaranteed returning, and it's open for Puck, Mercedes, Mike, and Quinn to return at any time. I expect things will be even less focused that this year...

Teorically, some characters will return only as guest stars. So they won't be in many episodes.
