Damn it, Fox, why keep Bones on Monday? I hate this, it's so inconvenient.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Raising Hope finale pissed me off so much that I'm 99% sure I'm giving the show up.
Makes sense, but I'm pretty sure Glee will be buried on Thursday, it's losing enough viewers as it is, graduation is coming up, and it's being pitched in the most competitive time-slot of the week? Don't think so.
ReplyDeleteDamn I'm so excited for Goodwin Games, and they're keeping it for midseason.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm done, also. I'm not interested in the mom's return.
ReplyDeleteHuh, the only two new fox shows I'm interested in (Goodwin Games, The Following) don't start till midseason. I'm kind of glad Glee's moving to Thursday's, it might be that final push I need to finally give up on it.
ReplyDeleteWell, she did die, but that's beside the point. Nothing in that finale should have happened.
ReplyDeleteI didn't actually watch it. I recorded the show and then deleted it. The promo looked like such a bad concept I didn't want to watch it. Glad she actually did die.
ReplyDeleteI was kinda hoping Bones would of moved to a different night, but not really expecting it since they just moved.
ReplyDeleteSo Touch gets moved to the graveyard, need i say more...
I dont watch anything on FOX anymore interested in The Following and might give the comedies a peek waiting for their sneak peaks/promos to decide
ReplyDeleteWell, Touch is doomed now.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought FOX would give a second chance to Alcatraz and renew the show to either pair it with Fringe or to have it premiere at midseason in Fringe's 9pm time slot (since I'm sure all 13 episodes of season 5 will air from September 21 to December 21, 2012). But that didn't happen, they cancelled it, and now Touch is heading towards an unavoidable cancellation as well. Although there could be a miracle, like with Grimm : no one would have imagined that Grimm would have been successful after Chuck's final season on Fridays, but it was. However Touch won't be a new show, and the ratings are down week after week on Thursdays now, that's not a good sign.
Frankly I'm surprised, I thought Touch would air on Mondays at 9pm because that was 24's old time slot. That's a surprising move, and that's too bad, it's not a bad show. The Mob Doctor doesn't seem like a good show (I hope I'm wrong) but it shows FOX wants to keep a medical drama on Mondays (despite House's ratings going downhill in that slot nowadays).
The Cleveland Show at midseason, what the hell ? I hope we'll get 20 episodes nonetheless (season 4 has been ordered a year ago and they've just ordered a 5th season). I might be the only one but I like it.
The Following starting in January for 15 weeks without reruns, that was expected. I'm looking forward to it !
I'm split on FOX's decision to air Raising Hope at 8pm :
- On the one hand, it shows they have confidence in the show to start the evening like they did last March. And given the premise of Ben and Kate, it seems compatible. Plus, even if the ratings drop from the now former 9:30pm slot (and they will), FOX will still be one season away from being able to sell Raising Hope in syndication, and 20th Century Fox is producing it, that's even more money for them !
- On the other hand, that didn't bother at all that Raising Hope was benefiting from New Girl's hit status. Now, Raising Hope is all alone, at 8pm, in front of NCIS (undoubtedly) and The Voice's result show ! FOX chose to spare Glee the trouble of facing NBC's only hit show, but now Raising Hope has quite a challenge on its hands. And Ben and Kate seems like crap, that might not help.
Anyway, I for one absolutely LOVED the Raising Hope finale. It's a comedy, it doesn't have to be realistic, if you're picking on the show because it didn't make sense then you got the wrong show, because Raising Hope has always been quite zany (which is why I love it so much), they just pushed the boundaries even more on the finale - and I bet you she will come back in season 3, the chair wasn't even enough, why should the bus :D ?
So what about Guilty?
ReplyDeleteI mean, the final statement could occur in weeks, but doesn´t it mean, that it will definitely air in midseason?
So they renewed Touch just to cancel it in season 2?
ReplyDeleteBones on mondays??? CRAP
ReplyDeleteUgh... It's weird. But I don't mind Touch being in front of Fringe.
ReplyDeleteThat's an awful schedule. And Bones wasn't doing good on Mondays this season what makes them think Mondays next season will be better.
ReplyDeleteI heard they will make a decision on Guilty in the next month. It will be a midseason show.
ReplyDeleteNothing surprising here. I don't watch anything on Fox except Fringe and that probably won't change. I want to give The Following a shot but by midseason I'm usually all ready set on my shows.
ReplyDeleteIt was renewed to be a saving grace after their disaster of the new shows. I guess it will end alongside Fringe's final season.
ReplyDeleteThe schedule might change again for Bones. Remember, they moved it to monday in the middle of the season right before the end of the big hiatus!
ReplyDeleteAt least, I hope they'll change it...
I was thinking the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI was gonna say, be careful how you speak about Fridays, but then I saw it's you and I'm sure you don't talk mean about Fringe :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, once Fringe is gone, FOX is gone.
Monday Bones. Friday Fringe. That's it for me watching Fox.
ReplyDeletegood schedule but think they should swap bones and glee
ReplyDeleteI would never talk about Fringe like that,lol... :) I meant that only for Touch, and what ever else they put on Friday once Fringe wraps up..
ReplyDeletewow, Touch on friday..well..."interesting"
ReplyDeleteI know :)
ReplyDeleteI think the Fringe and Touch pairing is good and I'm glad Bob's Burgers is finally premiering fall instead of midseason
ReplyDeleteNice....soon House and Fringe will be gone and all FOX will have left on me is New Girl. Once that is gone I'LL FINALLY BE DONE WITH FOX FOR GOOD!! :D :D
ReplyDeleteCBS ALL THE WAY!
Touch and Fringe paired up seems like a good move at first glance, I thought. Although, as several of you speculated, I too think that this pairing on Fridays would likely mean Touch ends after next season.
ReplyDeleteTouch doesn't seem like it has the same type of cult following Fringe has. I agree. Touch moving to Fridays likely means cancellation after next season.
ReplyDeleteAs for Bones, I would've liked Thurs. at 8pm, but I guess Fox wants to keep milking as much out of AI as possible to get better ratings. Mondays at 8p isn't too bad imo. Not that many things on to compete with, right? (Not sure. This was the first upfronts schedule I'm looking at, since I was curious about what was pairing with Fringe.)
Right? I was thinking that too. At least they get a season to write a nice wrap up.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first looked at this schedule, I was thinking the same thing. So, not too weird. Or...I'm weird too. :")
ReplyDeleteOh The Following is mid-season? Damn really looking forward to that one.
ReplyDeleteHi Touch welcome the the dead zone slot.
Yes Touch is much more family orientated than Fringe.I found Touch to be interesting, just not a show i want to follow,i taught deaf/blind students for eight years and it takes a lot out of a person.
ReplyDeleteI can't for all the schedules to come, that's the fun part, trying to figure out when, where, what to watch, what to record....
Ha! I called in the Graveyard in my post!
ReplyDeleteAll 1/2 comedies Tuesday. Doesn't seem like a horrible idea if they can get the new ones to stick.
ReplyDeleteLittle confused on the future of Touch. Are they just using it to fill the schedule and killing it or are they trying to fill their Friday with something worth watching?
ReplyDeleteGlee's move actually makes sense, and I suppose they're hoping to retain viewers from both singing competition shows. I was kind of hoping they'd move Bones, but I'm not surprised they didn't, since they just moved it to Monday as it is.
ReplyDeleteEven though FOX would never admit it, it was probably renewed to fill space. Touch's ratings were borderline when it was renewed and will only get worse with time but FOX canceled twice as many dramas as it ordered so they had some spaces to fill.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely graveyard the place shows go to die, Fringe being extremely lucky and surviving the horror
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more!
ReplyDeleteWe seem to be agreement here too. ;) I haven't watched Touch since the pilot. Although, since the pilot was so interesting, I think I'll try to catch with the rest of the episodes soon since the main tv season is ending.
ReplyDeleteUpfronts is probably the most exciting time of the year for TV news, at least for me. I do the same thing with the schedules. Although, no recording. I rely heavily on streaming, watching on the major networks' websites.
The episodes i have seen were interesting,i might watch them over the summer,,umm i guess in about a week,ha! I have been recoding them in case i changed my mind....Maybe. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't care about Touch and it's better than Kitchen Nightmares before Fringe, so... good news :) I'm curious what shows there will be after Fringe's and Touch's finales on Friday. Any news?
ReplyDelete#I think it's a good start to put Touch and Fringe in the same "block" and Fringe Friday begins 9/10...
ReplyDelete{I've read that Kevin Bacon has a new TV show called "The Following" which I'm also looking forward too!!}
YUP Friday the 21th September will be a very Touched Fringe Season start ;-]!
