In a surprising move, HBO has decided not to move forward with its starry series adaptation of The Corrections.
The cabler made the decision after viewing the pilot, which boasted an enviable cast including Ewan McGregor, Chris Cooper and Dianne Wiest.

That is really surprising it seemed like a typical HBO show. Shame I wanted a weekly dose of McGregor
ReplyDeleteNO! NO! NO! --I would have loved to see WM in an HBO series!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they know what they're doing, even though they've done some mistakes in the past (like passing on Mad Men).
ReplyDeleteWait what?
ReplyDeleteCannot believe this.
Another show i was looking forward to.........oh well.
ReplyDeleteI was looking forward to it, but then i again i can see this happening with having read the book. It had a stellar cast. And i have a crush on Mrs. Gyllenhaal, and somewhat a man-crush on Ewan McGregor (who hasn't?). :P
ReplyDeleteEWAN MCGREGOR ON TV?!?!?!?!? WHY DID THEY PASS?=?!?!?
ReplyDeleteDespite the notable cast, the premise of this series seemed really boring so I'm okay with this.
ReplyDeleteLoved the cast, but the plot never did it for me at all..... I guess I won't miss it since I never saw it to begin with.
ReplyDeleteI'm quite surprised... it seemed like a no brainer... Oh well.
ReplyDeleteThe only real downside not getting a regular dose of Ewan.
This wasn't a show I thought sounded that interesting to begin with, so not too upset that they passed on it. Got to think that they know what they are doing. If the pilot didn't work there was no point picking it up, regardless of how good the cast is.
