CBS have passed on most of their pilots and ELEMENTARY, RALPH LAMB, BABY BIG SHOT, GOLDEN BOY, FRIEND ME and PARTNERS appear to be CBS’ picks for next season.
via Deadline
Baby Big Shot : A working class woman uses her street smarts to compete with her more polished colleagues at a Manhattan law firm.
Golden Boy: Show about the making of a man. Tracks one cop’s meteoric rise from officer to detective to Police Commissioner.
Elementary : drama which envisions arthur conan doyle's literary hero in the present day as a former scotland yard consultant who solves crimes for the NYPD alongside joan watson, his personal recovery assistant.
Partners: Personal story of two lifelong friends and business partners. Architects Charlie and Louis’ friendship has lasted longer than either of their romantic relationships and almost seems like a weird marriage. When Charlie decides to propose to his girlfriend, Louis’ neurotic attempts to be supportive nearly result in the breakup of his own relationship.
Untitled Ralph Lamb Project: Period piece set in the 1960’s centered around the true story of Ralph Lamb – rodeo cowboy turned longtime Sheriff of Las Vegas.
Friend Me: Twenty-something best friends, Evan and Rob, move from their hometown of Bloomington, Indiana to Los Angeles to begin their exciting new lives working at GroupOn. Evan is having trouble breaking his old slothful habits and rather than go out after work to explore LA and meet new people, prefers to play online poker with his buddies back home. Rob has different plans and is determined to drag Evan, kicking and screaming, along with him.

  4. I am not interested in any new CBS shows this year. :( Plus, I don't think any of the new shows can match up to last year's debut of what I think is the best show of this TV season, Person of Interest.

  9. I just wonder who thinks up these shows.
    They all sound Meh!
But then of course the blame lies on the shoulders of the network people who pick them up, and throw good money after bad!

  10. CBS picks up the least shows produces the most hits. These will all likely do well not necessarily by CBS standards but in comparison to the new shows on other networks.

  11. These did sound the more promicing pilots from CBS so I'm quite pleased.
The one I'm the most excited about is Partners (it has been very high up my pilot watch list... Michael Urie does that to me)!

  14. I've been excited for and looking forward to Ralph Lamb (now called Vegas) since I first read about it. Probably the only pilot/ new series that has sounded good to me from the very beginning!

Even money it is the next CBS new #1 drama like Person of Interest this year and Hawaii Five-O the year before.  The combination of the premise and the actors simply seems locked in to me and it should be top notch.

That said, who can be sure before witnessing any previews or footage. However, I did think both Hawaii Five-O and Person of Interest would be hits and I have a very similar feeling for this one.
