THE SECRET HERO — Determined to protect his sister, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) makes a decision that will change everything. In the harsh reality of the present situation, Elena (Nina Dobrev) longs for simpler times when her parents, Grayson (guest star Jason MacDonald) and Miranda (guest star Erin Beute), and Aunt Jenna (guest star Sara Canning) were still alive and her biggest concern was her relationship with Matt (Zach Roerig). Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) leave Mystic Falls together on a mission, but soon split up when Elena needs one of them. Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) are forced to make a life-changing decision. Finally, Bonnie (Kat Graham) makes a secret deal that has heartbreaking consequences. John Behring directed the episode with story by Brett Matthews & Elisabeth R. Finch and teleplay by Julie Plec (#322).

Im excited yet sad!
ReplyDeleteI'm psyched for the flashbacks to Elena's parents - and it might be nice to see an Elena who wasn't in a perpetual state of angst. I'm also worried about Bonnie's deal. That doesn't sound good!
ReplyDeleteI have a bad feeling we are going to lose several people in this.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I expect a lot of carnage and a significant body count in this one.
ReplyDeleteI'm just as worried about what Jeremy will do as I am about Bonnie. When either one of those two take action things always seem to get worse rather than better.
ReplyDeletesounds like any other episode, basically.
ReplyDeleteBad feeling. Bad feeling. I mean, Jeremy doing sth on his own, Stefan&Damon on some kind of mission, Bonnie's deal, Caroline&Tyler and their life-changing decision. I definitely see some deaths coming. But whose?
ReplyDeleteexcited!,btw i'm happy will get to see Matt/Elena flashbacks.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, looks like a jam-packed finale!!
ReplyDeleteWHAT ABOUT ALARIC? :'( Sounds amazing though.
ReplyDeletejust please.
ReplyDeletekill off the originals. please ...
Yeah I would have hoped by now that they would have grown wiser, but based on the description it sounds like that's not that's not the case. I still have hope for Jeremy's situation because it say's it'll change everything (could mean that it's not necessarily negative), but in Bonnie's case it definitely sound's like bad news.
ReplyDeleteI'd say half the time this show's motto should be: "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions."
No, please don't. I love them xD
ReplyDeleteI agree about Originals (except for Elijah, he's a must for the show). About Tyler and Caroline, I think they'll be alive (life-changing decision means they'll be in season 4, or they'll be both humans, or Tyler will no longer be a werewolf). I'm excited about Bonnie, hopefully, she'll be in the main ground next season, she so deserve it. I think that Jeremy's decision is to turn his sister into a vampire, it's the only way to stop Klaus from having other hybrids. Or maybe changing all humans into vampires, just a thought.
ReplyDeleteMeh, this will be last episode I will touch of this show. Its sad to see such a promising show degenerate into daytime soap opera.
ReplyDeleteThis episode is WAY TOO LATE. Stuff like that should have been explored way back in first season.
Elena is supposedly the "main character" yet there's no "Character" in her. You do not just ignore your protagonist for entire book and then spend last two pages talking about her.
Now Elena is way too unlikeable for me to even care about whatever she went through. I just want to skip all her screentime and focus on Caroline.
Brett Mathews is writing this(and he wrote Firefly's brilliant brilliant Heart of Gold episode), so it might be at least decent. But otherwise, this show is way too inconsistent and twilight-like now for me to like it anymore.
Its sad. This show had so much potential and to see it all got down the drain because of incompetent writers is...depressing.
OMG sounds sooo exctiting!!!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. This will be the last episode I watch. This season has been disappointing on every level.
ReplyDeleteKlaus, the super scary villain which every vampire was afraid of, ended up being a whiny, sappy lovesick puppy who draws ponnies and has daddy issues. Same for Rebekah she is a stupid, weak and needy teen girl.
The Originals have overstayed their welcome. Their whole backstory is ridiculous and they took too much screentime which could be used to develop the characters that have been there since the pilot and which are supposed to be the core cast: Matt, Jeremy, Tyler and Bonnie.
The love triangle, which was supposed to be the premise of the show, is nothing but a one-sided mess, and ruined Stefan, Damon and especially Elena for me, they tried to make it clear she was no Bella Swan, but in the end that is exactly what she became, a spineless and uninteresting character who does nothing but bounce back between romantic suitors.
The quality and fast pace of the writing is gone, storylines are being introduced every episode and then dropped without any development or conclusion (hybrid storyline, ripper storyline, Bonnie's mother etc). Somewhere along the way, the writers stopped telling the story and focused only on pleasing the shippers and forgetting, a few fans who rant on blogs, and forums and twitter and make vids about their ships do not constitute the majority of the viewers. They have alienated most casual viewers by this into nothing more than a soap. And to think a year ago, this was my favorite show.
I'd say half the time this show's motto should be: "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions."
ReplyDeleteWell said.
These kids should have learned by now that going rogue never ends well.
Alaric???
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's weird that, at least for me, the lead character could be gone. Like you said, just skip her scenes.
ReplyDeleteUsed to be a great show when the creator of the books was writing the show..can tell such a difference between LJ Smiths TVD and now..sad that such a great cast and show have changed so much. Elena has turned into Bella..which stinks.. That being said...GO TEAM DAMON ;)
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more. I am a huge fan, read the books, and re-watched the first two seasons more times than I'd like to admit, and up until the December break in season 3 I was interested, and then everything went downhill. I haven't rewatched any of the episodes lately, except for 3x19 which had some major payoff for Delena! Otherwise it feels like the writers are just dragging the season along waiting for the finale to actually do anything.
ReplyDeleteThere was a huge missed opportunity when Rebekah kidnapped Damon, she should have actually followed through with her plan and compelled Damon to not love Elena. It would have been great as a twist, so that Elena might focus her attention to Damon and not follow Stefan around like an abused puppy. She is nothing like her character in the books. That Elena has two sides to her, the light which Stefan brings out and the dark that Damon brings out. It makes her more interesting. Elena is going the way of Bella fast and its not making me like her at all. Whiny and obsessive and in complete denial.
Her behaviour seems so odd, she forgives all of Stefans bad behaviour, yet she's abusive to Damon, breaking his heart and yelling at him constantly. She comes across as selfish to me. She showed ZERO compassion when she learned Stefan killed Andy and was just focused on finding Stefan, ignore Damon's feelings about his fake girlfriend being offed, just focus on getting your murderous ex back. I need to see a change in her before the season ends because she's coming off as very unlikeable.
I'm not sure if the writers were trying to please the shippers, since there is a huge Delena fanbase that hasn't had the kind of payoff that Stelena fans have had. Seems that the writers are lost, and just biding their time until the finale. They should have done more to bond the characters rather than drive them apart. Bonnie and Elena are always at odds, Caroline and Tyler seperated, Matt is alone and giving Elena puppy dog eyes again, Jeremy was shipped off, Alaric is insane (loved his character pre-crazy, his bromance with Damon was entertaining), Stefan became a dick, Elijah has a minute of screen time and then disappears, Damon becomes Elena's whipping boy, Elena...sigh...well she just goes bitchy and whimpy, Katherine is gone, Abby turned and left. Where is that electricity that we saw in the first two seasons?! I hope the writers know what they are doing because after this finale, it could be the last episode of TVD that I watch.
interesting
ReplyDeletethought... and 'except for Elijah' i agree... and maybe rebecka
