  1. LOVED it. I'm so glad that we got to see that there was more to Nick than just being able to see the "inner faces" of the wessen and a good shot with a gun. I guess that even if Nick tells Juliett/Hank what he sees, they can't as when the shady building commissioner showed his face, Hank couldn't see it. I wish that they would show how the wessen can tell Nick is a Grimm other than noticing that he recognizes their change, like maybe a colored aura, or a telltale mark on his face (like a big "G" or something) that they can see when they are "monstered out", but I guess that special efx cost $... Kudos to Nick for showing off some good fighting skill, and now that they are renewed  for next season, perhaps they can invest in some decent fight choreography, like they did with Buffy/Angel. Also got a kick that the thin Reaper guy also played Bobby's Reaper on SPN.... lol

  3. Fun episode and loved the message Nick sent back to the Reaper HQ! XD

Nice to see a fight scene again. I know they can be budget issues, but they do add something to the episode.... and it's just plain nice to see the Grimm kick Wessen ass!

I love how Nick is almost like a feared idol to the Eisbiberen! Leaving devotional baked goods at his doorstep and running away out of fear! So funny.

  6. See, I told you guys Nick would tapping into his Grimmness I just hope he doesn't go dark, I see those little flickers in his eyes and it makes me wonder what would happen if his Scooby gang was taken from him. I can help but think in terms of the Buffyverse for the show from time to time and that's a good thing in my book. However, I wish the writers would fill in some Juliette background. It's wracking my nerves waiting for that shop to drop, you just know something's off with her and the friggin' key, can we get back to that please...

  7. Hey, thanks for placing face, I forgot, which is weird because even though they showed Bobby's reaper at the beginning of the episode and I watched Grimm right after, I kept thinking that guy looked familiar and now I now why. I keep wondering how the wessen know Nick's a Grimm too. I keep wanting him to ask Monroe. That wouldn't cost any money in special fx. And I wonder if next season if the former hexenbeast will be an addition to the team ala Enya on BtVS.

  8. I agree with Magnutude. Loved that we finally saw Nick as a badass Grimm. That spin move to avoid both Reapers scythes was amazing :)

Love how the show is evolving and hope like hell it keeps going this good.
Also loved the chemistry between Nick and Monroe and the double fistbump :D

  9. Absolutely loved this ep.  (Had a random thought kind of viewing)

FINALLY!!!!  I've waited all season to see Nick turn on his Grimm!  That kick flippy thing he did to keep from getting killed was pretty sweet.   When he called Monroe I thought of a scene form Buffy where she pointed out to Xander and Willow how happy she was that most of the monsters she killed disintegrated upon death.Honestly, more TV characters need to watch movies (and some TV themselves.)  if you're going to the district attorney to fight an extortionist....go there first.  then put off TELLING your extortionist for as long as possible. Dinner:   Is there actually salmon in vegan salmon?  (Do vegans eat fruit and fish?  or is that vegetarians.)    Yeah, lying rarely works with people really talkitive people.  At some point you go on automatic and suddenly you find yourself struggling NOT to say "I used my trusty nose to sniff out the bad guy."  Did anyone else think of that song from (I think) Fiddler on the Roof.  "Tradition"A sentiment I don't think I've ever heard....You brought me pie.  That took guts.Apparently the Eisbeber are like Southerners and Germans where a major tenet of etiquette is food.  Lots of food. (not the only cultures just two I know up close and personal)A few years ago I saw a documentary about Ancient Egyptian court documents.  It was pointed out that their judicial system believed that you weren't telling the truth unless you told it after having the crap beat out of you....it would appear this is the Reaper's believe.   Brutrell said "I called you guys."  way fewer times than I would have.   :-)  Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.  Did love his buddies....Dude, we'll give you an alibi but, you got a Grimm on your tail....you're on your own.  :-)Giggle.  Loved the look on the Reaper dude's face when he opened is present.

  10. I am liking the fact that wesen are in all walk of society. It means something in the creature world as it does in the human world. The trolls are mafia. The beavers builders.
The reapers have nothing on Nick, now that he is prepared.

  11. I guest *how* the Wessen see that Nick is a Grimm but I am massively curious as to *what* a Grimm's 'inner face' looks like.  I wonder if its a like a warrior face or maybe an animal like a tiger; you know a top tier preditor.  Or maybe a 'hero' from one of Grimm's fairy tale.

  12. I loved that meeting.  First, there was the woman who referred to Nick as a piece of property.  "We have a Grimm and he'll cut of their heads."  Then the Grand High Poobah says  "Please don't cut off our heads for disagreeing with you."  At least Nick is willing to use the rep when it's useful.

  13. I don't think Nick would go dark (unless maybe something happened to Juliette)  They seem fairly cemented in how embedded being a cop is into his psyche.

I keep thinking of the Buffyverse as well.  I was beginning to think they were purposely NOT giving Nick magical fighting skills to separate themselves from Buffy.  They kept it pretty subtle in the fight scene last night.  Loved it.

  14. Oh, no they are going to have to go all in eventually. He even has dreams (see pilot) like she had in the beginning. I see where they are going, I think and I love it. I just wish we would have gotten into the big bad a little sooner. Side note: I totally missed Rosalie this episode, she's so the Willow of this Scooby Gang.

  15. lol..I missed Roselie as well.

You'll have to keep working on me about them having Nick go dark.  He's a classic hero and they've made such a point about him not being like the other Grimms, who, it appears, killed Wessen on sight.

Maybe I should define my interpretation of 'going dark'  and that would be Nick on a rampage and not caring about collateral damage...even if that collateral is innocent people (which includes Wessen)

  16. This show is really great and it gets better with each new episode ;) Loved the fighting scene between Nick and the Reapers !

  17. I was thinking of a slow subtle seduction from a honey pot (b/c I am on the fence about Juliette just being a normal woman) kind of how they did in Angel with dreams and Darla. Maybe much later down the line (say season 3 or 4) but I'm sure it'll happen in some fashion or another. But then again, that's only based on my assumption that a Grimm is a type of wessen and not human. I was however a little perplexed on how a wessen was made into a reaper (the bad guy's great uncle) when it appeared that the reapers are a type of wessen all their own. Plot hole, it's yet to be seen. But I tend to be a little nit picky about the smallest things.

  18. Interesting....my take on Reapers has been more akin to an order of monks...or specifically  an order of assassins.

  19. Nick kick somes reapers ass, great scene, for a great episode.

  20. I like the idea of the "top tier predator" look that would be terrifying to a wessen, or maybe even just a very bright or even a black aura, or maybe a vision ofa black knight... just something cool... I hope they write that in sometime in the future like Nick asking Monroe how he could tell what he is... or maybe something simple like a picture in one of the old books that's in the trailer....

  21. WOW this show is getting better and better at every episode. KUDOS to Grimm finally acting like a weapon weilding GRIMM...........Munroe training him LOL That was great,.....the dinner talk was hilarious too.....I need that recipe now....LOLOLOL Keep up the good work GRIMM people.

  22. oooooo!   Or he finds a book written by an old Wessen!

  23. Nobody seems to have made this point, so I feel I must. Eisbibers are so darn cute! They are probably my fave of the Grimm creatures. The CGI they did for the beavers are among the closer approximations of 'creatures' I've seen yet (ie, they look like beavers). I didn't really have to guess that they were beavers, as opposed to some of the other creatures, which I did have to guess with.

And I agree about Nick's fighting skills in this episode being awesome. That flip Nick did to avoid the two Reapers' weapons was way cool!
