ReplyDeleteIPS - Not giving up hope. I foresee a series finale relationship between Mary/Marshall.
Cougar Town - I desperately need this to happen.
HIMYM - It will happen between Barney/Robin. I'm not worried.
OUAT - Also not worried, because it's going to happen with these two too.
We all know Snow/Charming and Barney/Robin will happen :)

I never liked Barney and Robin together.
ReplyDeleteOUAT: I don't care if they are not together NOW, but if writers keep putting soap opera obstacles between them and making David an idiot.....They are better plots to keep them apart.

I don't watch In Plain Sight, but I agree with the other four whole-heartedly. Jeff/Annie has been one of my favorite pairings forever, and Travis/Laurie is SO much fun. I'm not worried about HIMYM or Once Upon a Time, though. Barney and Robin are inevitable (in my eyes, I suppose), and Mary Margaret and David are as well. Though since we haven't even finished the first season, I don't see them as a couple that needs to "get together already". It'll happen! Just give the show some time.

ReplyDeleteIt's not about getting together or not. It's about putting well-writen obstacles. One cuple can be together at season 1 with awful plots, one couple can be together at season 8 with beautiful storyline....or vice versa
ReplyDeleteI think it's because Castle/Beckett relationship is too obvious to even mention and it's definetely going to happen (and fingers crossed that IT will happen soon)
ReplyDeleteTheir argument for Jeff and Annie is pretty poor. Just about every recurring character that Jeff encounters makes him strive to be "a less self-absorbed handsome jerk", and every guy in Annie's life that she's had a romantic encounter with has made her lighten up a little (see: Vaughn, Troy, Abed, Rich to a lesser extent, etc.).
ReplyDeleteI'm firmly against Jeff/Annie, and I've yet to hear a good argument for them. Jeff just seems to bring out the worst in Annie anyway when they're romantically involved...
As for the others, I don't watch In Plain Sight, I'm on the Robin/Barney train, Snow and Charming are a given (though I don't mind the writers trying to stretch out their story a bit since once they finally get together, their story is going to get stale without a good shake-up to the world or mythos), and though I like the idea of Travis/Laurie, it doesn't seem to be a very practical one, especially since Laurie doesn't seem to like Travis nearly as much as he's ever liked her in the past.
If that was the case, the article wouldn't have mentioned Mary Margaret and David, who are even more obvious than Castle and Beckett.

ReplyDeleteThe list and their arguments are sort of ridiculous though. But then again, just a fangirl-ish article, not to be taken seriously.You can loads of those on tumblr.
ReplyDeleteI never liked the "Annie makes Jeff a better person/changes him/etc" argument. Why would we want Jeff to change? And Annie is so uptight that anyone makes her lighten up.

Charming/Snow...well that's just obviously going to happen, although its getting annoying waiting.
Laurie/Traivs, I've only seen 2 episodes of the show but I got vibes between these two so sure I say yes.
Mary/Marshall, don't watch the show but it seems fitting based on promos.
And that's the order I want them to happen from most on the top and indifferent on the bottom.
I Love Barney and Robin together. Mary Margaret and David not so much.
ReplyDeleteMeh. Barney and Robin, yes. Don't care at all about Snow/Charming/MM/David because it's obviously going to happen and is boring. The rest I could go either way on; I don't need romance for their relationships to work.

ReplyDeleteI only watch OUAT here and I agree. I mean, I understand why they want to keep them apart, because it's one of the main arcs of the show, but if they want to keep them apart they have to do it without making Mary Margret or David idiots or characters you can't sympathize with. There were moments when I seriously wanted to shoot one of them and I don't think that should happen. And if so... I don't understand it.

ReplyDeleteI never liked Robin until Barney fell in love with her. They just work, it's that simple. Yes Barney dated Nora, and he's with Queen now, but we all know Robin it's his soul mate.
And Jeff & Annie are perfect for each other, I don't care about the age difference, get over it people, thay're both adults, it's like Annie is a little girl or something.

ReplyDeleteI agree with the article completely, especially with Jeff/Annie, one of my favorite pairings. I just don't get why some people are so angry about this funny and so cute couple! Their chemistry is so obvious since the first kiss.
