    ugh! I thought they might finally bring stefan and elena back together.  Stefan sacrificed everything for Damon and now he repays him by being with elena.  I know u cannot help who you love but you can not act on it.  just ugh,  i really liked damon too.

    No matter which brother I prefer, I don't think Elena can be with either one of them until this whole business with the Originals is over.  It makes them both a little crazier than usual, and finding a way to kill Klaus is always going to come first.  

    That being said, I think Elena needs to take a break from BOTH Salvatores for a while haha..

    I am inclined to agree with you. you make a good point. I think i am just tired of seeing stefan heartbroken. It has been the whole season and he is my favorite character.

    Damon not acting on it out of respect for Stefan wouldn't help because Elena would most likely resent Stefan for it.  How understanding would you be if your ex was preventing you from being with someone you cared for?
