What the hell happened to you show? With every week TVD keeps getting worse.
What did we learn from this episode? 1) THIS WHOLE SEASON WAS POINTLESS. 2) The show now relies on completely out-of-nowhere "plot twists" that had no foreshadowing and were thought up most likely while writing the episode. REALLY SHOW, REALLY? 3) Elena continues to be the most irritating and POINTLESS creation in the history of tv shows. Not in the history of fiction since that top spot is taken by certain mary sue character of another popular (not)vampire franchise on the big screen, but Elena comes damn close in her mary-sue-ness to bella. 4) show keeps introducing pointless characters and killing them off in anti-climatic fashion.
Yeah I completely disagree. I've been wondering what the hell they were expecting to achieve out of killing the originals, seeing how their "curse" being broken would likely undo every bloodline they turned... It's simple... (And kinda overdone) I mean how many shows/movies deal with "killing the lead vamp" because it reverts the turning of their subordinates.
And for the love of God Elena is no where near the torture of witnessing "Bella"...
Just because its true in some other movies, it does not excuse the fact that it was pulled out of nowhere in TVD, disregarding the very basic concepts of writing.
And no, I'd say Elena is just as bad. The only difference is that N.Dobrev can act. Does not change the fac that she is not given a role to act tho.
Ohhh no, I don't want Tyler to die!! I really hope Rose's line originates from Elijah.. and Alaric not knowing where he put the stake WOW. Can't wait for next episode.. Elena and Damon lying next to each other in a bed.. I like that!
nah im betting on elijah because i thought elijah knew rose and trevor well and maybe had a thing with her? I bet her turned her leading to the mistakes he made that made klaus distrust him more and reverse. And hopefully it is elijah then they can keep elijah still alive and still finish off klaus. But hey i must say finally having progress and one of the originals finally dead (kinda hoped it would be kol between them tho i liked finn better) is great!
This was really awesome. Loved the it-wolud-kill-all-vamps twist. It's much more fun. they will have to find some witchy thing a la the Spike Chip to make them less dangerous perhaps? I did not care much for Sage, so that was fine really, and I loved the last Elena/Stefan scene.
Well, I've known since the end of last season that they were trying to figure out a plausible way to keep Klaus on the canvas for ever. And now we have it. At least killing the root of the bloodline makes sense. It wasn't as irritating as the whole Michael debacle. I pretty much liked everything about the ep except for the fact that Bonnie...didn't do anything more than make excuses to try and avoid doing the spell. I would have been okay if she'd just *tried* something and failed....but it felt like she did absolutely nothing.
I find the character of Klaus highly annoying..he never loses. Heck he never ever *almost* loses. He always has the perfect response there so the "hero's" plan fails.....then he throws a temper tantrum. I was so happy that Rebekah pointed out that he didn't know nothin' about having family's back.
So are Bonnie's herbs really up to combating the damage the ring is doing to Ric WHILE HE'S WEARING THE RING?
Oh and how awesome was it that Caroline basically answered to "Vampire Barbie" (Damon only said Barbie, but she answered.) And "Buffy the Vampire" is new favorite nickname for Rebekah.
Solid episode. Can't say I was shocked by the bloodline twist, but I was certainly relieved.Esther's plan makes much more sense now and even though I still don't like it,I understand where she's coming from. I think we'll learn which Original turned Rose in the next couple of episodes,I don't see the writers dragging it out for too long.
I'm ruling Klaus out. While I don't want him to die(and being linked to the Salvatores and Caroline is kind of a safety net),it would be weird if we knew that the bad guy truly can't be killed.Plus,he's already linked to Tyler. They won't link all the characters to one Original.Tyler is enough, the whole situation with Caroline will lead to enough drama. Elijah would be an obvious choice, since he knew Rose. It's certainly a possibility, but I don't think it's him.The writers like toying with his fate a little too much. That leaves Rebekah and Kol.For some reason,my money is on Kol.I admit,it's a little wishful thinking from my part, since I don't want him to die,but it also makes sense.
Not surprised, but a little sad about Finn's death.I was hoping to get to know all the Originals a little better.Better hope with the rest of them..Hopefully!
Good episode. It was great to have Klaus back and the conversations between him and Rebeka was great. Loved how she pointed out the brotherly love between D and S. Though I have to say I was a little disapointed that it took Stefan so long to save Damon. I had hoped for some Klaus/Caroline scenes....hopefully next week will be packed with them.
Well the way I see it, there was no hinting about it because no one knew. The only other Original who has died is Mikael and I doubt he turned anyone/many people.
Well, it was a good episode. From the beginning I've been a favorite for the "Stelena" so I really hope Elena will find that she'll love Damon more as a brother than as a potential lover. Although, granted, her ancestor did love them both...... Not sure what to think about not being able to kill Klaus or any of the other Originals because of killing all the vampires. Wasn't Dracula supposed to be the original first vampire? It would be great if Bonnie would find a way to kill the originals (perhaps with the deceased original witch?) without it effecting the whole bloodline. Wouldn't that be an awesome revenge on Klaus? Or at least have Klaus killed. He has to have some flaw, some weakness, righ Anyway, I liked it!
This episode made me realize how much I missed Klaus and all his snark! I wasn't expecting the scene between Caroline and Alaric - it was touching, but I expected a lot more anger from her, I suppose. Still, I love all the changes she's undergone since becoming a vampire. It's kind of ironic that she's a better person now.
One Original down, but it's too bad it was the least dangerous one haha.. it's too bad Sage is gone, too. I was looking forward to her vengeance. Though I suppose we're going to have more than enough on our hands with the rest of the Originals. I loved the reveal that the entire bloodline dies when the Original at the top of it does - I didn't even think about that!
I think my favorite quote from this episode goes to Caroline: "I miss well-adjusted Stefan..."
Yeah, Elijah's definitely the best option to have alive when this is all said and done. He has a weird thing for Elena, so I don't think he'd do too much to hurt her, and he's not a psycho like the other three haha..
Klaus maybe cannot be killed or seriously hurt. But his weak spot is his family. His fear of being alone. So: if they can't kill him. How about locking him away. Like S1. This whole tomb-thing. Emily locked all the vampires in there. Wouldn't that be just perfect for him? An eternity alone in the dark? PERFECT!!!
Sage was interesting. But Elena and the brothers already have 2 psychopathic vampires on their backs (Klaus and Becca). With Sage it would be 3. That would be too much. Even for them.
I don't think it was completely out of left field. It was telegraphed in the discussion of the mom undoing the curse she unleashed on the world. Just killing her children wouldn't eliminate vampirism, unless killing her kids killed everybody they turned too. I've been waiting since the ball for this to happen. There was totally logical build-up. Plus it is a great reason to keep the originals around.
Until now i never hated Bonnie. Now i do. That bitch should lie. Say, she is not strong enough. Should fake trying and failing. Damon screwed it up (turning her mom), that is true. But he is not evil. Not like Klaus. She is p.o., I get it. But it's time she chooses a side!
O.K. now we know, that killing an original would kill the entire bloodline (my money is on Klaus. He turned Rose. We just wouldn't have the luck that Becca or Elijah would create their line. Besides: He is not the type to hold back. He takes, what he wants, kills who he wants and turns who he wants.), so it's good they failed. But I'm still angry that Bonnie betrayed them. There are just two sides in this game (or war). Join Klaus or fight him.
Wow. Becca finally got it! Family isn't about being related by blood. Or being loyal to your big brother, just because otherwise he would kill you. Or lock you in a coffin. It's about love and trust and helping each other.
Is Klaus really so naive and believes that he could just go. With Elena? Is he really thinking she would go willingly? Or that her friends wouldn't risk everything to find and save her?
And one more though: if killing an original means killing the entire line. Would it mean that turning them into humans would turn the other vampires too? Remember. Mommy wanted to turn them into humans, before killing them.
I would love for it to be Elijah, but then the writers would fall into the inconsistencies created when they changed Elijah's character from henchman to brother.
Yeah, that's what I eventually concluded. They've got enough with Klaus and Rebekah, and Kol, too - I'm still convinced he's got a few screws loose, and he's keeping an eye on Jeremy. Not good! A bloodthirsty Sage might be the final nail in their coffins.
The episode was okay. Finn's death was not such a twist although I was banking on the writers not offing him. He had much potential as a character. And along with him went Sage, something to do with vampire bloodlines. I suspected this since Dangerous Liaisons and somehow I think the writers would make it so that it's Elijah who's founded the Salvatore bloodline just to keep him around since he seems to be quite popular in the fandom. Other than this I quite enjoyed the Rebekah scenes, especially the last one with Klaus which was really poignant. Klaus' complete coldness towards her for the first time gave both her and me a jolt. Not one of the best episodes, but it was rather good.
Elena got him Becca back. In return he promised, Jeremy would be save. There are two types of villains. Those with some sense of honor, that wouldn't stab you in the beck and stick to their word. And those, who have no sense of honor. Guess, Klaus belongs to the second type.
Which is kind of strange, because I think Klaus prides himself on keeping his word. He just always has a back-up plan in case someone else tries to break the agreement. And the rules seem to change A LOT where TVD is concerned.
I love that with one of the originals dying, every vampire that belongs to this original's bloodline dies, too. It's an amazing twist. (And I love that it gives them the chance to include Rose once more in the next episode, but that's just me) Rebekah and Klaus were - as usual - hilarious. They should make sure to always have them in the show. The end with Ric and his evil alter ego ... just as amazing. I'm really curious to see how they solve this issue, yet I'm still scared it's gonna end badly for Ric. Well well.
Also, Caroline's talk with Ric was one of the most beautiful scenes on the entire show. And last but not least: I liked to see Stefan allowing for hiw emotions to show again. Finally. It was a somehow heartbreaking scene, even more so because I didn't really expect him to all of a sudden say things like that again.
Amazing episode. One of the best of this season, without any doubt, and probably one of the best of the whole show so far, imo.
I don't care to much for Tyler But if it is Vampire blood line that dies out then all the others from his line die too. But since Klaus is Hybrid it will to hard to kill as it is already but something tells me That all the Originals but 2 of them before the season ends but if they all die that means ever vampire will be wiped out.
He was originally just a henchman? Also what inconsistencies? I rewatched it recently and thought it was odd how he was introduced, never knew he was only meant to be a henchman.
I think your right cause i started to like her in the one she found out Kalus killed her mum and she broke down i felt for her . i like her wayyyyyyyyyyy better than Elena lol, .Elena can't make up her mind i was a damon shipper now i think him and stefan could do way better she keeps playing with there feelings x
i agree!!! Bonnie simply did nothing!!!! She didnt even try.. she would have done some fake magic and pretend the spell was undone just like how she lied to elena and stefan that the tomb spell was removed!! Arghhh she's annoying!!!
I have a very strong feeling we are going to be torn in between again when it comes to if klaus should be killed! Elijah may have turned rose who turned damon, but they may come up with stefan somehow being turned by klaus.. idk but with all the turns they have made this season, anything is possible!!Lol
OMG My hearted cried and was hurt with that stelena moment!!! ok i know elena and damon ahve great chemistry but pple seems to look at things only one sided!!! Stefan and elena also both loved eachother and would do anythng to save eachother. They too had chemistry... Im still rooting for STELENA nomatter what!!!! And am pretty sure they want us to get excited abt delena and in the finale, they come up with a story line of elena saying "Damon, i love you but its my heart will always be with stefan. Its always going to be stefan. It feels different when am with him" hahah i know time will tell...DELENA fans, dont get ur hopes too high...
It was in an interview (sorry I can't remember which one might have been for his new pilot) that he was brought on to be a minor role and then die, but since everybody loved him they kept him and made him an original.
Actually: I liked Bonnie. Till now. She is pissed. Got it. Pissed or not, she has to choose a side. If she wants to kick Damons hot ass for turning her mother, fine. But can't she wait, till tis Klaus thing is over? Besides: Damon may have turned Abby. But he didn't make her leave her daughter. Not now, not in the past. So, if she wants to kick ass, she can put her mothers name on the list.
??? We know what happened. It's simple:
Katerina tricked Rose and was turned by her. And Katrina turned both brothers. End of story.
The question is who turned Rose. Hey! Wait! After Katerina escaped from Klaus with the stone, didn't Elijah find her and told her where to go to be save (where she found Rose). Could it be Elijah who turned Rose? But Elijah killed Roses friend (what was his name again?). I doubt it was Becca. Unless, Becca turned the person who turned Rose. If not, we still got Kol or Klaus. I just hope it wasn't Klaus. I want him dead. ASAP. And by my luck it means: It was Klaus. And he can't be killed.
So? He could lock them in a coffin again. He had no remorse doing it before. Why not doing it again? Put them in a coffin and lock the away. It would probably weaken him. Better weak than dead.
True. Except the fats, that Buffy was no vengeful bitch, slut and psychopath. And vampire. Except this one ep in S1 (the nightmare thing). BTW Did I mentioned: I like Becca. She is psychotic, but cool.
I just mean that he's basically the only real "immortal", and has been shown to be afraid of death. The thought that he is linked to his other siblings would make him do what he could to break it. Not defending him, I just can see why he acts the way he does.
He tries to stay alive. Got it. But there are other ways. I mean …
I'm so confused about his character. On the one side he is impulsive, emotional and likes to snaps. He acts before thinking. On the other side he is always a few steps ahead of his enemies. Always has plans and backplanes.
Correct me, but this makes no sense. How can someone be so rational an irrational at the same time?
A little predictable but not bad. - I liked Sage but she was a bit delusional and she bitch slapped Caroline so I'm okay with her death. - How did Damon's attitude towards Elena suddenly change from antagonistic to playful in one episode? I didn't buy the quick transition. - St. Caroline strikes again. Her capacity for compassion and forgiveness is astounding. - Bonnie finally had some good material even though she was miserable for the entire episode. - Rebekah is so frustrating. I want to applaud her for taking Klaus to task for being a selfish, disloyal sociopath and yet in the same episode she brutally tortures someone who hurt her feelings. That girl is Jekyll & Hyde. - I'm guessing that Col will be the only other Original who can be killed without also killing off one of the show's major characters. - This episode felt like a return to the brooding emo Stefan and I hope that doesn't happen no matter who Elena ends up with. - That ending was ridiculous. I really want to see Alaric try to explain to Klaus that "I can't give you the stake because my serial-killing alternate personality hid it from me and I can't find it." That's too dumb even for The Vampire Diaries.
Last season, the Salvatores signed the house over to Elena. Because of that, the house should be secure from vampires unless she invites them in. Unfortunately, I think The Vampire Diaries decided to pretend that never happened.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Hated that Sage died. Loved everything else.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually surprised she lasted that long =P
ReplyDeleteAMAZING!!!! i love how they tie up all the storylines!!!

Yeah really sucks that Sage dies but to make the story even more strange i bet Damon and Stefan are Klaus blood line

ReplyDeleteBlond hair, hits like a freight train, vampire (as opposed to slayer xD)
ReplyDeleteI think they'd have to desiccate him like Abby did to Mikael, but that could work, and would be perfect revenge.
ReplyDeleteI think rules went out the window when Klaus realised while he himself couldn't be killed, if one sibling dies he'd go as well.
ReplyDeleteI think they're trying to redeem her a bit in our eyes, I'm liking how they're developing her character.
ReplyDeleteI think your right cause i started to like her in the one she found out Kalus killed her mum and she broke down i felt for her . i like her wayyyyyyyyyyy better than Elena lol, .Elena can't make up her mind i was a damon shipper now i think him and stefan could do way better she keeps playing with there feelings x

ReplyDeleteIt was in an interview (sorry I can't remember which one might have been for his new pilot) that he was brought on to be a minor role and then die, but since everybody loved him they kept him and made him an original.
ReplyDeleteOh cool. I wondered why they made him "die" from a normal stake and then revive when no original since has done the same.
ReplyDeleteActually: I liked Bonnie.
ReplyDelete???
ReplyDeleteTrue. Except the fats, that Buffy was no vengeful bitch, slut and psychopath. And vampire. Except this one ep in S1 (the nightmare thing).
ReplyDeleteBTW Did I mentioned: I like Becca. She is psychotic, but cool.
Oh I agree, I've always liked her character, more so in recent months. I hope they don't kill her off.
ReplyDeleteI just mean that he's basically the only real "immortal", and has been shown to be afraid of death. The thought that he is linked to his other siblings would make him do what he could to break it. Not defending him, I just can see why he acts the way he does.
ReplyDeleteYou mean Becca?
ReplyDeleteAgree. I like her too. Hope, she survives. And stays in MF without trying to make Elenas life more miserable than it already is.
He tries to stay alive. Got it. But there are other ways. I mean …
ReplyDeleteI'm so confused about his character. On the one side he is impulsive, emotional and likes to snaps. He acts before thinking. On the other side he is always a few steps ahead of his enemies. Always has plans and backplanes.
Correct me, but this makes no sense. How can someone be so rational an irrational at the same time?
amazing episode! however i discovered a MAJOR error in it, how did the vampire that was with Sage enter Damon's house?! No one invited him in!
ReplyDeleteI love the elena and stefan scene!
ReplyDeleteA little predictable but not bad.
ReplyDelete- I liked Sage but she was a bit delusional and she bitch slapped Caroline so I'm okay with her death.
That's a big annoyance for me too.
ReplyDeleteLast season, the Salvatores signed the house over to Elena. Because of that, the house should be secure from vampires unless she invites them in. Unfortunately, I think The Vampire Diaries decided to pretend that never happened.
