YES! Please tell me they can see him! We've waited so long for this!
Also, here's me crossing my fingers that there's some movement with the Leviathans this time around - I know it's starting to sound like a broken record, but we're closing in on the end of the season for heaven's sake!
:) I don't think we need to push the panic button yet, remember in S1 the 19th episode was a stand-alone? And this year we have one extra episode. So 4 episodes after that one is enough for some build-up (of course, *ONLY* if the don't take out the Levis...if they do take them out , 4 episodes is too short....if they only build-up for another season, 4 is well enough )
Personally, I was hoping they'd wrap up the Leviathan story line by the end of the season.. though that was a dream that I had at the beginning. If and when the show gets renewed for an eighth season, I'm hoping it'll be with a fresh start - nothing over their heads from the get-go. Though at this point, I could see the Leviathans carrying over. Boo.
I can see some of the Leviathan story line carried over to S8. Unlike the demons who generally don't play well together, the levis seem to generally work as a team with a common goal. The Levis have infiltrated politics and large and small businesses and there doesn't yet seem to be a good way yet to take them all out out at one time. Chronus said he saw their future and they leviathans were everywhere, which means they must have some way of increasing their number beyond the leviathans that Cas swallowed.
My thoughts exactly! But it's not as if we didn't see it coming. There was all that foreshadowing with Dean's drink vanishing in thin air and then the journal which just happened to fall to the floor and show Dean the way.
This episode is probably where they use Bobby's help and then help him cross over...unless the writers have something else in mind I can see it going like that.
I don't see them bringing Bobby back, just to have him disappear again. He had such a great farewell episode, 2 farewell episodes in one season would be just goofy. But then again, I could be surprised.
I suppose that unless Cas can bring him back later on, which though i wouldn't be happier it would totally cheap the amazing episode Death's door, so i'm kind of strangely hoping that Cas can't bring him back and that they'll have him cross over at some point and give the character the peace he totally deserves (they really can take a loooot of time before that happens though lol). And since there's a set pic for 7x22 with Dean holding the flask, i'm hoping we'll have him around at least until the end of the season. i'd love to see the complete team free will team up for the finale, even if it's the last time. i just need it you guys lol
About the episode, i'm hoping Bobby will give them more info about the Leviathans that maybe he couldn't pass to them before... i mean let's move the main arch along please.
Yeah, I'm not exactly hopeful about a resolution this season anymore. They haven't found out a way to kill them en masse, especially since they have to sever every single Leviathan's head from its body, so unless killing Dick Roman kills them all, I think we're going to see more of them in Season 8.
I personally hope the Leviathans carry on to next season, not because I particulary like them as the villains (so fast, they've been a bit lame honnestly) but I hope maybe when things pick up at the end of the season and we discover wth they're up to, the whole plot will be more interesting.
A clean slate next season no thanks, they've built up the main arch wayyyy too slowly in the last two seasons and I don't want a quick resolution of a couple of episodes like on S6, just to get another huge and slow build up again next season with whatever they come up with. Personally, I rather discover the endgame of the leviathans and truly deal with it from the start in S8.
I could definitely see that happening - like I said, my hope for the Leviathans at the beginning was that we'd have a resolution by the end of the season. But now, if they are somehow dealt with in the next few episodes, it's going to another quick fix to scoff at. And at this point, I don't think they've paid the story line nearly enough attention to just end it here. It'll probably continue.
I agree that they should get to the main arch...but I just don't see Bobby being saved to continue into S8 mainly because he doesn't have a physical body
I think that the boys helping him on is nice esp. since that is why he held on-- he deserves some peace but like I said we have to see what the writers plan
Oh no, neither do I. I think he'll cross over by the end of the season and i kinda hope for that at the same time that i hate it cuz it'll mean saying goodbye to Bobby aga T_T
:) I thought about it...I would be surprise if won't have a Levis talk in the next episode....cause Bobby still need to tell the boys about the Levis' plan
Agree. I wish they hadn't kill Bobby but it's done.
The best the boys could do to prove their affection, is to help him understand that he has done enough and deserve his little corner of paradise with is happy memories and maybe his wife welcoming him.
Unless... What if Bobby had a a contingency plan to cheat death?
Yep, or the Winchester's family home -in S1's "Home" Missouri said Sam and Dean's former home was a "magnet for paranormal energy" or something like that.
Aw, my two favourite brothers entering a haunted house together, shoulder to shoulder. Just the way I like it. Shades of days gone by. :)
If I'm not mistaken, it's the same house that was used as the Hotel in Playthings, an episode which is often overlooked but which I love. How can you not love drunken Sammy. :)
I, too would be happier, if Bobby passes over. It would be touching if it was Sam and Dean that see him off in this episode. Much as I enjoyed his presence, I don't want to see him miraculously resucitated.
I think that if the writers like a character, they should just keep them alive and avoid killing them just for dramatic effect.. If they had temporarily wanted rid of the Bobby, they could have found plenty of other ways to get him out of the way for a certain number of eps.

ReplyDelete:) I second that

ReplyDeleteI agree, like American Horror Story.

ReplyDeleteThe house i am guessing is so haunted that Bobby's spirit shows up easier. Looks good can't wait.

Nice promo definitely. Love the horror S1 feel of it. :) Didn't recognize the house from Playthings though at first, even though it looked familiar.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great creepy classic SPN episode!
