  2. PART OF ME ALWAYS BELIEVED THAT YOU'D COME BACK

    Misha's face is so beautiful.

  3. I missed most of tonight's episode because of bad live stream, but this totally makes up for it:)

  4. Castiel! Looks like Cas forgot who and what he is and Dean is explaining. That means Dean will have to tell him about all the bad stuff. Wonder how that will change their relationship. I hope in good ways.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Am I the only one who can't read Dean's face when he said that? He doesn't seem sure if he's happy or angry, he sure seem to have a lot of mixed emotions.....well, not that's a surprise^^;

I'm just glad it seem he's hasn't forget what Cas did

    ReplyDelete
  6. OMG on tumblr someone just pointed out he's holding the trench coat when he says that.

  7. 0_o it sure looked like that now that you talk about it...let's cross our fingers it is ;P

  8. So does Dean go to Meg for help with Sam and she tells him about Cas?  Seems odd that Meg would be there when Dean meets up with amnesiac Cas.

  9. "What if you were some kind of bad guy?" Glad to know Dean hasn't forgotten what Castiel is and what he has done. Taking down Sams wall, being responsible  for  Bobbys death, killing thousands of humans and angels?  Castiel killed as many people as Amy befoe he ingested the souls the showrunners probably address it but Castile does fitl Deans description of  what a monster is.

Hope this is a healing episode somehow for both brothers with Sams memories of Hell killing him inside and Dean dealing with Castiels crimes and  betrayals. So both boys can move on with their lives

  10. LOVE IT!  And I love Dean's oh-so-subtle prodding in the Impala - what if you were a bad guy?  I'm glad they're not going to disregard the minefield that is Castiel's return and turn it into some happy, smiley reunion.. but I'm hoping they can work toward some closure!  And I love that Meg is connected to Cass - she always did seem to have a thing for him  ;)

    ReplyDelete
  11. Name one human Cas killed before ingesting the souls. Am I forgetting them entirely?

    ReplyDelete
  12. I doubt Dean would call on Meg or she'd approach him now. I think her being around has to do with Cas.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I hope so!!  I always smile when I remember that Dean actually kept it  :)

  14. I'm sure this argument has been had over and over again, but I don't think you can hold Castiel directly responsible for Bobby's death.  By that logic, you can actually say it was Dean's fault that Bobby's dead - he broke the first seal, which allowed Sam to break the final seal, which allowed Lucifer to rise, which eventually resulted in chaos, civil war, and sides being taken in heaven, which led to Castiel's deal with Crowley to take control and defeat Raphael, which ended up releasing the Leviathans.

    ReplyDelete
  15. He's going to have to face 1 major thing for sure next episode -seeing Sam knowing he is the reason he's in that shape now. With no memory, I'd imagine Cas is going to be shocked he could ever do such a thing. I don't think he was thinking straight those last two episodes in season 6. I think he went a little crazy. Now he's going to be back to his kinder self.

Maybe when Cas remembers again and he finds out about Bobby's death it'll come up (and possibly what he did to Rachel, Balthazar, Bobby's ex monster girlfriend forgot her name, and his crusade while the Leviathans were in him- which I'd like to see- I want him to try to fix as much as he can and work through the guilt)

I think Cas would bring up Bobby feeling guilty. Maybe if Cas brought it up Dean would get angry, but I don't think Dean would be the one to point the finger, whether or not he does blame Cas. I know he won't place all the blame on him. Dean's anger would be more towards Dick, the one who pulled the trigger-afterall, Cas had no idea of the Leviathans. Not smart to do something so risky but Cas was desperate.

Plus, if Cas hadn't been around Bobby wouldn't have survived the season 5 finale so hey. He's done bad but he's done a lot of good too.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'm curious - Cas must be still an angel if he doesn't eat in less he's like stuck in between human and angel or something. I wonder how he'll have changed being around humans so long. Hopefully the humanity will stick with him this time.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't believe that's the Impala. Until Dick's gone I think she's staying under a tarp. Only makes sense. :(

    ReplyDelete
  18. The big questions, will this be another send off or will Cas stick around for a while.

he coming back he coming back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  20. This is the episode that will make or break the season for me. If it's as good a I always hoped since the first episode, then Season 7 will be awesome. If not...if not...

I may be very bitter for a while.

But the promo looks promising :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. He's going to be in two more episodes after this, and the producers are leaving it open as to whether he'll be in season 8 or not.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I was really hoping that we'd get a promo about Sam, but I'm really starting to think this is going to be just another "shove Sam off into the corner so we can focus on Dean, but call it a Sam ep" kind of episode.  Hopefully they actually spend a good deal of the ep on what Sam is going through rather than just the Dean/Cas reunion and Dean angsting about Cas - I still really, really wish that they hadn't combined the first real Sam ep we've gotten for over ten eps with Cas' return - 43 minutes is not enough time to adequately address both, and I'd put money on the fact that the one who'll get the short end of the stick will be Sam.  They'll stick him in the mental hospital, show a few brief scenes of him being crazy, and then the rest of the ep will be Dean running around with Cas and Meg until the very end when Cas will most likely magically heal Sam and erase his one good story for this season.

Man, I hope I'm wrong.  Guess I just have to wait and see.  Still, would have been nice to have Sam in the promo for more than a second.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Jared said it's Sam-heavy, so you can relax.

    ReplyDelete
  24. *hits replay 2 million times*

omg this looks epic. And omg. I think Dean is holding Castiel's trench coat in that part where he says, "Part of me always knew you'd come back". He held on to it all this time. *dies*

    ReplyDelete
  25. And he said there wouldn't be a magic quick fix.

    ReplyDelete
  26. So much more exciting than the other promo :D

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ok so I've moved past the "omg Cas flail" phase and I just want to add that I'm also glad that they are going to address Castiel's "bad life choices" rather than having it be all blissful reunion. It's more realistic, and I say that as someone who's an unapologetic Cas fan. That said, while I think the issue will be addressed and should be, I think and hope Dean and Sam will forgive him ultimately, because I think he wasn't entirely himself when he did most of what he did. His actions are much like Sam's in season four. Initial good intentions, and then it quickly spiraled into a situation that was out of control. That's why it's so amazing that if you go back and watch the season opener, it was Sam that reached out to God!Castiel and was willing to forgive him and help him (that scene where he's in Bobby's junkyard praying to Cas to let them help him). I think Sam recognized that he and Castiel weren't so different in that respect. I actually think Dean will have much more conflicting emotions. In the promo he seems both glad to see Cas and understandably angry/wary. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

Also it does seem like in the promo that Cas is still an angel (he heals people and doesn't eat), but maybe doesn't remember who he is, hence why Dean is explaining it to him.

    ReplyDelete
  28. "Sam heavy" by comparison to the rest of this season could mean a lot of things.  Logistically, when you think about all the things that have to happen in this ep (meeting up with Meg, finding Cas, figuring out what Cas has been doing, figuring out Cas' current state of mind/being, making a plan to help Sam, Dean and Cas having their deep talk(s) (which are clearly hinted at in the promo and are obviously going to happen), etc) that's a LOT of screen time devoted to stuff other than Sam's state of mind.  There are a lot of "Sam-heavy" eps that don't actually feature Sam's POV all that much, he just has an important role in the plot.

I can't tell if that "you can relax" is sarcastic or not, so I'm not going to comment on it further.

    ReplyDelete
  29. He said he HOPES there's not an easy fix.  He didn't actually say there WASN'T, unless you've seen some interview I haven't.  The most recent one posted (the Zap2It one) says he HOPES that there's not an easy fix - the actual quote is: "Jared tells us that he hopes Sam doesn't find a miracle cure too quickly, but we can expect Sam to be back on his feet toward the end of the season as the Leviathan story comes to a climax. "

Which sounds quite a bit like a quick fix, at least to me.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I feel the same. I also feel that Sam recognized he and Cas weren't so different; I loved that scene.

    ReplyDelete
  31. To be honest 4 or 5 seasons ago I  might of been excited for all this is a little too late. Since season 4 the show has become a blame game with Sam and even with this its 'he didnt tell Dean how bad it was' . This promo isnt inspiring unless you love Dean/Castiel and god bless them and all who sail in her.

But at least alot of Sam fans will finally get that long awaited hospital scene lol.

    ReplyDelete
  32. pinkphoenix198517 March 2012 at 10:54

yeah well "Sam-heavy" episodes do not mean actual Sam POV or a lot of  Sam scenes. It rarely means that--I've come to an understanding that it really means that Dean focuses on Sam and what might be wrong with him and how Dean is going to deal with it. the difference in these episodes than the rest of the season is that it "supposedly" ups the Dean angst because it focuses on how he relates to Sam and the brother connection.

    ReplyDelete
  33. pinkphoenix198517 March 2012 at 10:55

I hope so that Sam fans get that hospital scene!! I really do...it is the least they can do!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hoping for some crazy!Sam and worried and protective Dean in this one... I'm 'meh' about seeing Meg again... Not looking forward to seeing Castiel again at all. I'll probably look away and cover my ears during his parts.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Dreaded Meg is coming back to help Dean with finding Cas in order to help Sam? He must have no other option I guess than to go to her. Cannot wait for next week's episode! Seeing Cas again will be great and Sam's meltdown will be even better!

    ReplyDelete
  36. "Part of me always believed that you'd come back."
    That makes two of us!

    ReplyDelete
  37. All very true - I'm looking forward to seeing how it all plays out!

    ReplyDelete
  38. You're so right - I typed it not even thinking about it haha.. this little hiatus made me forget for a little while that she's benched at the moment   :(

  39. Michele Klinger17 March 2012 at 14:25

I am really excited! We finally get to see Sam actually lose it and we get the return of one of our favorite characters!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Dean seems open and vulnerable so I will go with strong and mostly positive emotions.
When Dean don't like somebody or is angry, he goes with sarcasms and keep a closed poker face.

    ReplyDelete
  41.  And Dean emotions so raw. Look at his face. It's Jensen at his best

    ReplyDelete
  42. Considering the healing and not eating hints, It's quite safe to assume that Cas is still an angel.
Even without his memories, he is healing people instead of smiting them. He is a good guy at core :-)

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm guessing Meg is involved in the Dean/Cas reunion for the same reason Crowley has been helping them.  Dick doesn't like demons, and the demons recognize that Team Free Will may be their best shot at getting rid of the Leviathans.  The enemy of your enemy is your friend type of thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I didn't catch the trench coat apparition, but my finger is totally stuck with the replay button too :-D

    ReplyDelete
  45.  Dean and Sam will forgive him, I have no doubt about it.
Will Cas forgive himself when he will remember what he did, that's what worrying me.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm really interested to see how this plays out. It intrigues me that-- while The Powers That Be have always emphasized Cas' identity as a soldier-- amnesiac blankslate!Cas chose his healer/fixer identity to work with instead. Am a little worried for him if Meg has had him in her clutches for awhile, as he's probably very open to manipulation right now, and Meg would have no qualms about using that to further her own agenda. As for Dean & Sam, I would like to see if Sam gets fixed-- somehow I doubt that will happen, but kudos to Cas for trying-- and Dean's emotional responses in this promo are pretty spot on, so I hope to see that carried through the episode as well. It'll all be up to a.) the quality of the script and b.) the performances given by the actors, and I for one have faith that we'll see both, just as we did in "Death's Door".

    ReplyDelete
  47.  He said the same type of thing about his 5 minute stint as Lucifer. I'm sure he has a good part, that was tough to do, but Sam heavy?

    ReplyDelete
  48.  Sam might not get hospital scenes (which kills me), but he does get tied up alot and get gets to have seizures and hellucinations. Those are pretty good.

One of the reasons that I keep waiting for a hospital scene is that I want to see a seriously injured Sam with Dean worrying at his bedside. I want to see the brothers together in a situation like that.

One of my biggest complaints about On the Head of a Pin is that you see Sam at Dean's bedside and that wonderful scene where he stomps out and yells at Castiel, "Micracle! Now!"... but then when Dean wakes up, he has a moment with Castiel... not Sam. That totally erases that scene for me because I wanted to see Sam and Dean together. I don't understand why they couldn't have added another 1 or 2 minute scene with Sam at the end.

    ReplyDelete
  49. its kind of hard to say for sure, if he was 100% angry, he would act like you said. But I never said he was

When he's 100% full on happy, beyond happy and amaze or whatever, like you said, he doesn't act like that either

He seem to be lost between all kind of emotions

    ReplyDelete
  50. I agree he means to do good. Him being the healer in this upcoming episode reminds me of one of the Supernatural novels The Unholy Cause. The author wrote Cas in the story at the time he couldn't heal (season 5) and he was missing the ability. I liked that being put in the novel because I truly believe Cas enjoys helping people.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I think Cas, while being a soldier his whole existence, actually doesn't like conflict. He often finds himself in the middle of it, he finds himself forced to start it (in Season 6- the Heaven Civil War against Raphael who wanted the Apocalypse back), but Cas doesn't enjoy it. He doesn't take pleasure in killing or hurting.

What he truly wants is a purpose- to do good. Whether doing good means fighting evil, protecting or healing - that's what he wants to do.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Okay, so it looks like Cas gets his trench coat back and that Dean held onto it all this time - when do we get to fix the amulet situation?  Come on, writers - Dean needs his amulet back and I refuse to believe that Sam didn't pick it up and keep it after Dean tossed it out like garbage.  If we can have a touching scene with Cas' coat, we can have a touching scene with Dean's amulet.  It's long overdue!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Sammy looks just awful. No doubt some tears will flow next Friday.

    ReplyDelete
  54. If nothing else, I just hope they don't kill him (again).  Regardless of what he did, and as awful as most of it was, I think it would be ridiculously hard on the Winchesters to lose him again when they just got him back.. especially in the wake of all the hell that's rained down on them this season.

    ReplyDelete
  55. It's fine that you don't like Castiel - not everyone does, and that's your prerogative.  But don't you think looking away and covering your ears is a little dramatic?  Especially since it seems like he might be part of what helps Sam, so you'll be missing some important (and probably some spectacular acting by Jared Padalecki) stuff there.  All I'm trying to say, I guess, is just try not to let a character you don't like ruin the experience of what I think is going to be an awesome episode for you.  I know how you feel (not in this particular situation, but on other shows), but give it a chance!

(I also realize you might not be totally serious... but I figured I'd put it out there anyway)

    ReplyDelete
  56. I wasn't serious, I'm not actually going to look away or cover my ears. I've never done either during a Supernatural episode (ah, wait, except in A Very Supernatural Christmas, when they pull off Sam's fingernail. Every time I have to look away, I just can't watch that, it squicks me so hard.) I just meant I'm not going to be staring at Castiel and eagerly memorizing every word... I'll deal with watching him, in hope that I'll get some wonderful Sam, Dean, and Sam-and-Dean scenes.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I figured - I just know a girl who probably legitimately puts her fingers in her ears and closes her eyes when shows bring back characters that she doesn't like haha.. so that's all I could picture!  And I can't watch the fingernail either, by the way *shudder*  Ballerinas dancing their feet off?  Totally fine.  But when you yank a fingernail, we have a problem.

    ReplyDelete
  58. o.O For real? Oh, wow. At the end of the day, I don't like Castiel but I love the show more than I dislike him, so I will deal with it. The fingernail just gets me, in some way. XP Ballernas dancing their feet off, a woman pouring scalding water down her throat, a woman's head melting in a salon, fine, sure. But the fingernail!

    ReplyDelete
  59.  I like that idea. It make sense.
Having demons on their side will at least give them a winning chance to beat the leviathans

    ReplyDelete
  60.  Yep, Cas was not an happy smitter. He was quite different of Uriel in that regard.
"most of the time I'd rather be here"

"What Cas truly wants is a purpose- to do good."
I think your view on Castiel motivation is absolutely spot on!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Same here - it's always SUCH a mystery!  They kept talking about God, but then all the angels said he left the building, and they even hinted at Lucifer, but would he even have a reason (or the ability) to raise him this time?  I just want to know!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I don't think Lucifer was behind Cas resurrection on his previous deaths. Being caged again, he certainly isn't the one responsible now.
Death would have the mojo to do it but why would he be interested in a "mutated angel" as he stated. God is the most logical assumption.
Who and why ... Dear writers could we have answers, please?

    ReplyDelete
  63.  LOL that quote!

    ReplyDelete
  64. pinkphoenix198518 March 2012 at 13:53

OH YES!! A scene similar to S1's Faith right? well check out the sneak peek ;)

    ReplyDelete
  65. MISHHHAAAAAA squeeeeeee!! I'm so excited for his return!!! YAYYYYYYYY xD

    ReplyDelete
  66. All caught up and now Cas next week!! Yay

    ReplyDelete
  67.  Meg presence is not a coincidence. I bet Crowley send her to keep an eye on Cas.

If the writing team had the idea to put them together (like "together" if you know what I mean) the Dean/Cas fans uproar will shake the whole web :-D

    ReplyDelete
  68. Ok, I'm back on the 7x17 promo thread again.
As much as I like season 7,Cas return is totally turning on my obsessive fan side again.
    It's a good feeling :-)

    ReplyDelete
  69. very much looking forward to this episode.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Looking forward to seeing Sam's breakdown. On the fence about Cas's return. Happy to see Meg again.

    ReplyDelete
  71. nellymendezcolon19 March 2012 at 14:57

this new cas looks so creapy uyyyy.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Of course Dean will have some mixed emotions, but mostly, he's going to be relieved. I cannnot really explain, I just get that "positive emotions" vibe when I look at him in this promo :-)

    ReplyDelete
  73. So right
Sam, Baltazar, Rachel ... Cas is going to be crushed by guilt if he remember.

With Sam suffering, Dean worrying and Cas feeling guilty, The "angstometer" pointer is going to be in the red zone all along the episode ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  74.  That's my big hope too. If he is alive at the end of the season, we can hope he will appear in season 8.
And Fanfic writers will have a field day with off screen Cas life  ;-p

It hope that the mystery around Cas repetead resurrection will be adressed too.
