    I HATE Glabber and Illythia but my god Viva and Craig are brilliant actors!

     I agree about Glaber but I find it impossible to hate Ilithya because all her social climbing efforts continuously and hilariously fail in spectacular fashion.  It's very entertaining to watch.  That woman is a walking disaster.

    Yeah okay, I get that, but as a person she's so mean and... and just mean!!!
    When she had those doors close behind her in the Blood & Sand! Man!!! My first reaction was "someone gut THAT bitch!!!"

    And here's the difference between these two and Lucretia/Batiatus: L&C were clearly "villains" also, but the fact that with eachother they were actually a very loving caring couple, gave them redeaming qualities. It made me root for them (ocassionally) and like them and empathise, and actually be sad they were villains and that they did go down in flames as much as they deserved it.

    But Illythia and Glaber are just mean awful people. And they're great at it, but I can't find any sympathy for them, even when they "spectacularly fail". I'm just waiting till they get theirs and enjoy their scheming in the meantime.

     you cant be serious... lucretia hasn't had me rooting for her not once... i will admit that Illythia closed those doors was gut wrenching and the smile on her face.. was priceless.....but even still i like her....glaber is another one that i hope gets and gets it good....i was also wondering if who the father is of the baby....but then i was thinking maybe to much time had passed between when she did the nasty with sparty... still bitch she may be but i like her...cant wait till tonight's ep....

    Well less this year obviously but in S1 and in GotA I was definitelly on side in certain things.

    I was heartbroken by all their trouble with conceiving, and being looked down upon by everyone socially. They didn't handle it with grace and they resorted to their villainry. Plus they truly genuinly loved eachother and everything they did they did for one another. There is something relatable and endearing in that behaviour. And IMO that's what made them great villains. They didn't come off as inherently evil people, they just ended up that way.

    Whereas with Glaber and Illythia I can't find that anywhere. They're villains, but in terms of even their own storylines they don't come off incredibly sympathetic.
