Rumour - Early Renewals for Grey’s, Castle, Revenge, Once and Others

ABC is on the verge of issuing formal early renewals to nearly a dozen scripted series, including freshman hits Once Upon a Time and Revenge and established players Modern Family and Grey’s Anatomy.
Although an ABC rep declined to comment, TVLine has learned that the network’s prelim pickup list also includes Castle, Suburgatory, Last Man Standing, Happy Endings, The Middle.

Cougar Town and Private Practice, meanwhile, remain question marks. Ditto midseason entries GCB and Missing. (The fate of Private Practice, ironically, likely hinges on the ratings performance of another Shonda Rhimes drama, the soon-to-debut Scandal.)

Considered long-shots for next fall are Body of Proof, Pan Am and (the possibly DirecTV-bound) The River, although a final decision probably won’t come down on those fence-riders until the May upfronts. If cut loose, they would join the already-axed Charlie’s Angels, Man Up and Work It.

    The only ABC shows I watch are Happy Endings, Cougar Town and Modern Family and sadly 2 of those may get cancelled

    Seems like ABC is trying to cancel PP, they moved the show from thursday to tuesday, they changed the date of the new episodes, and now they are on a long hiatus (there was an episode at the end of february, a 3 week break, a new episode and again a month hiatus 'til the middle of april). ABC loves Shonda but at the end probably the story with Scandal will be the same as Off The Map.

    Now that Happy Endings is renewed - and I never doubted OUAT - I pray Cougar Town gets renewed and that The River goes to DTV or Netflix.

     OUAT was never in danger but still very happy to see this! and Happy Endings! - really hope it gets renewed!
    I'm not getting my hopes up about Cougar Town - pretty sure it will not be renewed.
    Private Practice was once my favourite show for a while and I still love it but wouldn't be too upset if it wasn't renewed  - I think it will be though :)

    i'm not worried about Greys's , im sure OUaT and Castle will be renewed, but WTF with PP!!!  i still need Addison on my tv, i'm in love with her  i need her :(

    Pleased to hear about GA and OUAT.

    I really really hope Cougar Town is renewed. It's excellent.
    I enjoy PP, but not too fussed if it gets cancelled.

    Even if it is just a rumor at this point, I'm so happy for Happy Endings!  Along with Cougar Town, it was one of the two I was actually worried about.  Now hopefully they'll pick up Cougar Town, too!

    Very happy about OUAT well-earned renewal. the show is good and innovative.

    I also watch Castle. Not that I desire it, but I wouldn't mind if the show was cancelled. Provided that that castle and becket courtship- display get an happy ending :-)

    I don't watch any other ABC show.

    Yay for GA, OUAT, Revenge, Castle, MF.
    Lil concerned for PP when network's start playing around with schedule usually mean's the death bell is gonna ring, so let's hope tuesday's work.
    Scandal well the first 8 minutes look great but til i see the whole episode i'll reserve predictions.
    Cougar Town can take or leave it.

    So basically of Scandal does well then there gonna nix Private Practice? thats just rude and wrong. Make thursday shonda land and put one of them on 8pm and put Missing on Monday

    they could do what our network in australia does GA at 8:30, Scandal 9:30, PP 10:30 all on thursday, well scandal isn't on yet but we have Desperate Housewives in that slot currently but once that finishes up i can see scandal slotting in.

     no no cant change Grey's time slot thats when bad things start to happen.  U have to build around Grey's. You totally reminded me about DH. Scandal would be perfect for DH time slot. Going up against The Good Wife. 2 very powerful lead woman shows. Genius, ABC u should hire me for programing schedules lol

    I love Grey's, Private Practice, Revenge, and Modern Family! Private Practice needs to be renewed!! Like I said, I love Grey's, but Private Practice has been so much better than Grey's the last two seasons anyway. I NEED Private Practice to stay on TV!
