The Friday Night Lights and American Horror Story alumna — who was offered everything under the sun this pilot season — has been cast in Nashville, an ABC pilot described as a family soap set against the backdrop of the Nashville music scene, and revolving around one star at her peak and another on the rise (Heroes‘ Hayden Panettiere). Britton will play the former, Rayna — and yes, she will be singing.
As previously reported, Without a Trace‘s Eric Close will play the husband of Britton’s character. The cast also includes Deadwood vet Powers Boothe and General Hospital grad Jonathan Jackson.

This one sounds pretty interesting. I'd watch!
ReplyDeleteGod how I love Connie Britton, anything she's in, I'll watch.
ReplyDeleteBesides Hayden Panettiere i like all the actors in this one for their acting. But then again, Hayden can impress me somewhat enough for not to care that much about her being in it. Sorry, i just like Hayden for her looks not her acting.
ReplyDeleteShe'll be singing? Hope she's a good actress/singer, not a meh actress/singer like Gwyneth Paltrow.
ReplyDeleteThis pilot just got a little more interesting....
ReplyDeleteI hope this Pilot works out better than that movie, Country Strong because I like the cast.
