Mad Men - Creator Matthew Weiner - "It Was Over"
11 Mar 2012
Mad MenMad Men" creator Matthew Weiner says negotiations with AMC and Lionsgate over season five became so strained that he at one point walked away. He's back of course, and the show will be too, following a 17-month absence, with a two-hour premiere on March 25.
"I had come to terms with the fact that it was over," he told the New York Times in the first of a two-part Q&A. "There was a terror in me that someone else would come in and do it. And I don’t know how they would do it, but I would have to live with that."
