Shawn Ryan, who would be the creator / showrunner / exec producer of this exciting new show if ABC picks it up for the 2012-2013 season, announced this fantastic news on Twitter 36 minutes ago :

David Rees Snell is best known for portraying Ronnie Gardocki on one of the best shows ever produced, The Shield (created by Shawn Ryan). He also appeared in 6 episodes of the fourth season of The Unit, another Shawn Ryan show. He appeared in a recurring capacity in the fourth season of another amazing show, Sons of Anarchy (created by Kurt Sutter, who previously was a major writer on The Shield).

    Seeing his name there instantly reminded me of his last moments on The Shield... talk about an haunting scene.

    Last Resort could not get any more exciting. This pilot has to get converted into a TV show, it must.
