This is excellent news, just like True Blood Season 1 dvd sales were sky-high before Season 2 ratings sky-rocketed to the excellent levels where they still are.
ReplyDeleteAnd they don't even have included the worldwide statistics for DVD and BR sales!
ReplyDeleteWoah! Congrats GOT and HBO!
ReplyDeleteNow that's impressive,congrats to all !
ReplyDeleteExpected news frankly, but very nice to see nonetheless!
ReplyDeleteI hope this leads to a green light for filming Seasons 3 and 4 back-to-back in a couple months.
A well-deserved honour. There was a mention of it in an article here the other day, saying how scripted television is getting smarter and using the tremendous and ever-dying cast of GoT as an example of how complex storylines can be now.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised at all, the ratings for S2 are going to really rise from S1 I feel, lots of people have been reading the books, getting the DVDs a lot of new viewers will be tuning in!
ReplyDeleteWell if they wanna start shooting again this summer they need to get the green light shortly for all the pre-production work. :)
ReplyDeleteI am not in shock.
ReplyDeleteI can see season 5 and 6 being ordered for Book 4 and 5, maybe 6 in the flames of Rh'llor
