The last scene of the mid-season finale was really satisfying. Now that Sophia has died in the barn incident, where is your character left?
Jon Bernthal: Shane and Rick have really opposing ideologies. One guy is ruled by his heart and emotions and the other guy, Shane, is like "Look dude, that shit's out the window now. We're in a zombie apocalypse." The thing is Shane's been right, time after time. Shane is a really emotional guy though and I think he's going to discover pretty soon that it's hard to put a cap on those feelings.
Lori's baby is a very tangible symbol for that feud.
Jon Bernthal: Right. He realizes he is a cancer in the group and I think that's why he was talking about potentially leaving. Now that the baby is coming, there is a sense of ownership though, which means he ain't going anywhere. I think it will reawaken his desire to stay with the group and claim what is his. I think that's very dangerous.
Shane and Andrea had something brewing for awhile. What do you make of that?
Jon Bernthal: They are two people from very different worlds. I think the Old Shane is amused by her. He knew how to talk to women. He knew how to sleep with them. But I don't think he has any feelings for her. She really believes in him though and she's a real ally. If this rift with Rick potentially becomes something and the group splits into two factions...I think she'll prove to be very important to him.

That "I can't say anything about L. A. Noir" statement sounded an awful lot like "yes."
ReplyDeleteStill feel like he is the subject of that Ausiello Blind Item from a few months back. This just makes it seem even more possible.
ReplyDeletejust got a feeling he's leaving. he was a great antagonist, so that means that we'll maybe have the governor or merle back next season?
ReplyDeleteI hate Shane (Have ever since the attempted rape), but I like Jon, so I'm torn on whether or not I want him to go!
ReplyDeleteYou may get to see him on L. A. Noir.
ReplyDeleteAccording to rumours they are looking for an actor to play the Governor. Apparently they wanted John Hawkes who said he's not available.
ReplyDeleteBut it seems safe to assume that at some point during the 3rd season we're gonna meet him.
