Kring, you are terrible. This is just sentimental non-sense. Awful to see Kiefer Sutherland waste his talent on this show, he should have been in pilots like Last Resort, the Kevin Williamson-pilot, or something on cable.
Have you seen the pilot yet? Kring or no, it was pretty amazing. (Characters could use some work and certain plot lines were a little more contrived than others, but all throughout the episode's climax and falling action it treated us to some of the best moments in TV in quite some time. And this is coming from someone who believes that Season 3 of Heroes was a perfect lesson on how NOT to tell a story.)
You must have skipped over most of my post. Otherwise you would have noticed the qualifiers "pretty" and "in some time". Never seen Grey's Anatomy, and maybe I haven't seen enough episodes, but I wouldn't call Castle amazing or sentimental either.
I understand missing a huge chunk of someone's post when you're upset, but do try to give things a second read-through in those scenarios so you don't make the same mistakes again. Thanks!
This has nothing to do with Heroes. Im not upset at all, more confused. I said sarcastical that you only must watch these shows to think that the sentimental soup that Touch was is amazing,
Then what do you like Steffen?? If you seriously watched the Touch pilot and didn't feel it was amazing then you need to think about the meaning of the word amazing. These last few years have been full with crappy tv shows and when you see a show like Touch that is full with emotion and a great story (in my opinion) well then you compare it with the crap on tv and yes you call it amazing. Amazing doesn't have to mean "wooooow the excitement blew me out of my chair", it's not "sentimental crap", it's called real emotion but it seems you've just gotten used to the bad quality of shows these days to know the difference.
I watch Luck, i watch Breaking Bad, i watch Mad Men, i watch Fringe, i watch Justified, i watch Sons of Anarchy, i watch Parks & Recreation, i watch The Walking Dead, i watch Community, i watch Louie, i watch it`s always sunny in phildelphia for example. And finished shows like Oz, 24, Bored To Death, How To Make It In America, Six Feet Under, Entourage, Friday Night Lights and so.
Even the comedies have more emotion than what Touch gave. Because the only thing that was good with the emotion part was Kiefer Sutherlands work, everything else what unlogical (almost even in a sci-fi logic also).
This is not amazing, its not even good, its a sheep in wolf clothing. It states that Kring can do what i he wants, even how much senitmental bullshit he gives us. The show wants us to belive in something that`s not logic. The emotion is not that great, its better than maybe some other network shows, but nothing amazing or really any good.
Well you do mention some great shows, I just don't know why you hated this so much. I think it depends if you relate to the characters or not, watching it I really felt for Kiefer's character and thought the emotion feel of the whole episode was great. But I guess that's where we disagree... I think 24 is one of the best shows ever by the way :)
I dont need to relate to the characters for it to be great. The character is not perfect, but they are not the thing that is bad with the show. It`s the senitmental bullshit that clouds the show. It`s to darn "you dont need to understand it", for a sci-fi`ish show it`s even unlogical and just to sentimental.
I liked 24 alot, one of my best shows also, but more like in the top 50 of shows ended. Maybe something around a 30th place.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletewell its not his fault heroes started to suck, the writers strike ruined it! i have fate in him, the pilot was amazing! but so was heroes pilot...
ReplyDeleteAmazing, hell no. Sentimental, a bucketload. Best moments in TV, are you serious?? You should stop watching just Castle and Grey`s Anatomy.
ReplyDeleteHeroes was good more when Brian Fuller and the other writers did the episodes. Kring`s episodes on Heroes was not much, or just terrible.

Well Brian Fuller returned for the season 3 finale which mostly sucked, they did not even show the fight.
