It reminds me of the cover of one of my favorite bands KULA SHAKER "Peasants, Pigs, and Astronuts" The pic is the original album cover and the second is the more resonantly re-released 10th anniversary album cover!
I like this one better than the last. More importantly, I am taking it as good news that things are going favorably with WB negotiations. I could of course be wrong but I'm choosing optimism. After all, this show seems to have 9 lives.
Yeah The second one is the original cover...when I uploaded the photos it pushed the first one I uploaded over when I went to upload the second one, so my comment seems wrong...But I love that when the band re-released the album they changed "the season" of the cover, but kept everything else constant.
Thanks. it's good if you like psychedelic rock and philosophy (; --It's no wonder I also love Violet Sedan Chair, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, The Doors, The Beatles and the more current, Tame Impala...
Yep, that's what i Have been listening to my whole like, Now i'm at the age where i can listen to a lot of different music. But i could never give up what i grew up whit from the 50,60s,70s,80s90s to 2004....Just give me my Pink Floyd, and Peter Gabriel,Doors Van Morrison and i few others and i'm set.
I agree that Led Zeppelin's song has an influence here (and probably with K.S. Too!)...I think Seven Suns might be a reflection of beliefs in some philosophies that there could be seven planes of existence and/or the sub planes of reality, which are about getting back to some "divine" plane of "oneness"...Sometimes I think Peter is going through these stages, and/or keeps escaping death...and besides the loop factor, I think his machines "rearrange matter" and have done this SO many times, that every 'soul' is broken a apart and split into several incarnation of themselves, but not just in other time lines, but with in the time lines too...
It's curious also that the art is similar to a Kula Shaker's too, because that album also has songs that reflect these things...

Oh God, this is so cool!!

ReplyDeleteAnd who doesn't like psychedelic rock and philosophy? :)

ReplyDeleteThat's why I love the Fringe team, they always manage to come up with stuff you'd never expect but afterwards you totally get. Great spot by the way!
ReplyDeleteYes, plus the Beatles. They could get pretty psychedelic.
ReplyDeleteEscalator to Heaven is what it looks like to me, too.
ReplyDeleteCreepy and very awesome at the same time!
ReplyDeleteAlways the Beatles. The list could go on and on,we sure have some great music out there..
ReplyDeleteBrilliant poster...I love Fringe art - so much to think about.
ReplyDeleteI am almost certain that escalator is the same in both the Fringe poster and that album cover. O_O
ReplyDeleteI immediately thought the same thing about the Ror-shak song. Of course I've been listening to that a lot lately, so that's probably why. :D
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say it has 9 lives at this point...It's spent a few of them by now...
ReplyDeleteAnd most of them were used to get this season. Still they must have a life and a half left. Plenty for a short season.
ReplyDeleteNice....
ReplyDelete♥
Me too! It's rare for me to like modern music!

Sure this isn't fake? The characters looked ripped from the promotional photos for season 4.
ReplyDelete@DarkUFO can you post a higher resolution version of it? :(
