  1. Relatively easy choices for me:

Gladiator - One of my all time favourites, so an easy winner.
Crash - The toughest poll today, but I think NCFOM wasn't as much a classic as some did, and I really liked Crash. I'll probs be in a minority here though...
    Inception - Zimmer's score, DiCaprio's performance, Nolan's scope... everything really :P
LOTR 1 - My favourite of the trilogy. Easy pick.
The Departed - Not Scorsese's best, but War Horse was disappointingly average to me.

  2. Pretty much the same expect I picked No Country for Old Men over Crash

  3. Besides the first two poll, we also chose the same. I've only watched Gladiator once many years ago, but that one time I found it ridiculous and since then didn't care to see it again.

  4. I didn't vote in the first and second poll, because I don't have any opinion about which of them I like better. But in the rest of the polls I did vote:

Inception - This was a tough choice, though. I like A Beautiful Mind and I think it's got something so special about it that it deserves to win everything. But Inception is a movie that took me totally by surprise last year and that - in some sense - got me into watching more and more movies again. It's by far the best movie (of that genre!!) I have ever seen. And the music is a very big plus, too. (I must say, though, I'm kind of surprised Inception is ahead of A Beautiful Mind by this many votes.)

LotR 1 - Easy choice. All of the LotR movies might be the best movies made within the last decades. So of course it gets my vote.

The Departed - When I first watched this movie, I was quite surprised at how much I actually liked it. That alone is reason enough for me to give it my vote.

  5. I must be the only one who didn't like Gladiator.

  6. No Country for Old Men - thought provoking
Inception - This was a hard choice, because A  Beautiful Mind was quite good. But Inception still has me thinking long after
Lord of the Rings - The first was the best.
The Departed - Lots of plot twists to keep you on your toes.

  7. i missed the first days but i just found this now
i could only vote for movies which i have seen (which sadly isn't many)
i voted inception and lord of the rings
i didn't think inception was as brilliant as everyone said but it was still amazing
and lord of the rings is just incredible

  8. same here, all the rest I picked the same. The Fellowship Of The Ring is also my favourite of the 3, although I expect The Return Of The King to win...

  9. My votes:

Gladiator (Russell Crowe was better in The Insider, but he was still really good in this)

No Country For Old Men (Javier Bardem had a performance for the ages; and besides, Crash sucked)

Inception (One of my favorite non-Batman Christopher Nolan movies)

Fellowship Of The Ring (I liked The Aviator, but I'm a bigger LOTR fan)

The Departed (Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, and especially Leonardo Dicaprio deserved Oscars)

  12. Gladiator - I adore every(relatively well made) historical movie and Gladiator is one of the best.
No Country for Old Men - I'm not a huge fan of Bardem, but he was brilliant in this one. Also,I wasn't impressed by Crash.
Inception - Because of everything in it!
LOTR:The Fellowship of the Ring - Nothing beats these movies for me!But The Aviator was also good,if only a little too long.
War Horse - This was the hardest one.I really like both movies, but I don't think The Departed will need my vote.I saw War Horse a couple of weeks ago and I found it very touching.Plus, what I said in the beginning about historical movies.

Since we have Inception,The Aviator and The Departed in the poll I just have to share my opinion that someone should finally give the damn Oscar to DiCaprio.

  16. Really easy choices today:

Gladiator - one of the best and a no brainer
Crash - almost anything is better than No Country For Old Men
Inception - everything about it just crushes everything else
LOTR 1 - part of a great trilogy
The Departed - an ok movie but appears much better than the extremely dull looking War Horse

  17. The Artist - just a wonderful beautiful film

No Country For Old Men - Much prefered this to Crash

Inception - Yes it has its flaws but still a very fine film

LOTRs - These films will go far in the polls

The Departed - What a film!

  20. I voted for the films I had seen and enjoyed Inception, LOTR, and War horse. Love my genre films but War horse was an amazing book I read many moons ago and I loved the film version, but still think it will be a Rings victory, still remember sitting in the cinema for the first film and it was so amazing.

  23. I hated Gladiator and I'm no fan of Russell Crowe either, although my dislike of Gladiator came first.  I haven't seen the Artist yet but I intend to.  Still I felt confident that I would like it better so I voted for it.

  24.  I'm not crazy about him either,i did like him in State Of Play or i should say i  that i liked the movie and he happened to be in it. The same for A Beautiful Mind.I haven't seen the Artist yet myself,i will probably wait for the dvd....
