I didn't really like the beginning of the episode but the end was what I was waiting for. Yeah Dan and Blair awesome finally, now just have wait to see what happens on April 2nd episode
Ok so my comments...totally saw the lola as william's daughter thing coming, kinda actually feel bad for ivy and she really did do the right thing in the end, i feel bad for serena as well as she is right when she says she is saying goodbye to everything - seems like she really isn't that ok with blair/dan thing, my heart broke for chuck...though he might of gone about it in the wrong way the truth came out and blair treated him horribly, and finally why did they have to mirror the epicness of chair re season 2 with that last scene...the next thing we need is to see Dair limo-sex then i will actually throw something at my screen! I agree...Dan for most of the first few seasons hated everything that had to do with the UES with all the scheming and the like and that is why he broke up with Serena in the first place. Hope you guys are all right and we see chair again by the end of the season.
The worst part is that they have changed Blair's character so much...she is no longer the scheming queen we all know and love...come on Blair, season 1-2 Blair would NEVER let Georgina steal her thunder!
Wow, that will was such a slap in the face.. I do feel kind of bad for Ivy, since her motives were pretty pure toward the end, I think - in taking care of Cece, I mean. I'm over the Chuck/Blair/Dan drama - at this point I'm pretty sure they should all just end up alone. This episode made Georgina seem like Once Upon a Time's Rumpelstiltskin haha.. collecting deals/favors to cash in somewhere down the line! And poor Lola.. she doesn't know how deep she really is in that screwed up family!
Good Chuck and Lily interaction toward the end - I've loved watching their relationship progress over the course of the show.
I agree that it was a slap in the face! The GGWRITERS took our most valued and precious moment and they wasted it on something as shallow as Dair. It was horrible..I could have beared with all this Dair mess, BUT TAKING OUR FAVORITE CHAIR MOMENT and doing the one thing they knew we couldn't handle is EXTREMELY low on their part. Shame shame gossip girl.
AMAZING!! I sincerely loved it. Screw shipping wars, it had some serious drama and a lot of new story-arcs. That's all that should matter to a true gossip girl fan. I have my own ships that I love and would like to see. Non the less, I don't want them to be all cute and loving just yet. That's freaking boring, people. We need the drama, it's Gossip Girl for crying out loud. When a pairing in a drama series doesn't go through shit together, it's like when nobody delivers a single joke in a sitcom. Cut the writers some slack, shippers. Maybe you'll find that good things come to those who wait.
I'll never not like Chuck and Lily scenes, and tonight's was pretty great. Really looking forward to having Jack back on the canvas for Chuck, which may be residual Desmond love from his creepy turn in this season's premiere of Justified.
Serena with the GG laptop also has a lot of potential... as does the Lola half sister reveal. So... twisted Van der Woodsen family nonsense for the rest of the season, then? Yay!
Did not roll my eyes once during the final Chuck and Blair exchange - for the first time in a long time they felt like grown ups having a real conversation. We may circle back to them eventually, but I feel like this was a long overdue resolution and hopefully we'll finally see the two of them actually move on for real. I like Chuck, and I like Blair, but they really are at their best apart.
Dan and Blair were kind of sweet and free of the drama I was anticipating for them this episode. I've always liked Dan in comedic situations because PB has the best facial expressions, but he's really bringing out the adorable in his recent romantic scenes. I think these two will have a fun run of it. Hopefully, when they part, they'll continue to be friends.
Hope to see more of Nate interacting with Serena again now that he and Lola are together - I love it when he's integrated with the main cast, and always miss him away in his own little plots.
How?! Blair's character is exactly what she has been. I would call it defamtion of her character! We all know the real Blair will be back sooner or later and I am curious as to who really believes that Dan and Blair are going to last, they won't even make it to the final episode of this season *LOL* But go ahead and enjoy your victory now, you will need it, because soon enough Blair will be running straight for Chuck again. You can only suppress a passion for so long and Blair and Chuck will prevail. I really wish I could see the Dair's fandom faces when Chuck and Blair up-end their precious couple *lol*
awful ? really ? i dont like to tell ppl how to live their lives but chair fans need to grow up real fast dont dair cloud ur judgements. i was worried the infamous text from DAN will end DAIR so thank GG writers for that. it was a good ep overall.stop obsessing over blair and dan. its still a good drama for CW at least.and one for me i really hope dair is their endgame so chair fans will be upset until the next GG emerges... XOXO
awful doesn't even measure upto how HORRENDOUS this episode was.seriously? dan and blair? thats bullshit. the writers have clearly given up, and i think i am too.
I wonder if people who are fans of this show have real lives. Love lives, I mean. No disrespect but relationships like the Dair pairing occur everywhere, all the time. People move on, just because they still love someone, doesn't meant they need to be together with that person, nor that they can't fall in love with someone else althewhile. I'm not much of a fan of this show (the storylines for rich people are just ridiculous), but the Dair relationship has been the only realistic thing I've seen so far. And I love it.
SERIOUSLY!!?!?!?! First of all it is just a TV SHOW Second of all this show isnt called Chair it is Called Gossip Girl,so it cnt be all about Chair relationship and Dair fans waited for this for sooo looong so let them enjoy Chair fans are so freakin selfish 4 seasons it has been all about Chuck and Blair relax they are endgame just be patient I dont like Chair at all but I am Derena fan and I find Dair really cute and funny and dont mind it at all So shut the f*ck up and enjoy the show
I wouldn't count on that, your way off...and how did you arrive at that percentage? Considering you just started posting here where did you get that fact?
wonder when people will start to realize that this is Gossip Girl and not Chair Show or something with very intelligent stories... honestly, if you're looking for Chair, go watch Season 1 and Season 2 again. and if you're looking for an intelligent show, I suggest you do not tune on the CW... it was an good episode after all.
Sarcasm much? I meant that just because 55% of people who vote here didn't like this episode, it doesn't mean that 55% of the people who watch this show didn't like it.
I agree that the episode felt slightly choppy and I was hoping for something a little more emotional? A little darker, perhaps. Considering this episode was centered around CeCe's wake, it felt a little too lighthearted for me.
The twist with CeCe's will/Ivy didn't settle right with me. It felt contrived and looked to me like the writers were simply digging for anything to keep OMG-worthy in the will. Not my favourite episode, but the final four minutes definitely satisfied me. The Chair/Dair shift in relationships was nice to watch and I can't believe I have six or so weeks to wait until we're given anything new. D:

You're not very bright are you? The guy implied that because 55% of this website's visitors (the ones who come to the GG section, not the rest of the site, geez) it meant that the episode was that bad. Yet, 347 votes hardly make up for the entire fanbase of this show througout the world. Clear enough for you?
The dan and blair pair has ruined the show. I honestly used to be a huge fan, now I'm no longer watching it, has literally turned to crap. D & B is absolutely gross
Not bad. - Nate is back to being boring again, this time with help from Lola. - Ivy and CeCe's will was the best part of the episode. Really good stuff. - I love that Ivy evicted Lily and Rufus' boring asses from the apartment. XD - Georgina gives up Gossip Girl after a few weeks? Seems like a lot of build-up for nothing. - Serena as Gossip Girl is just dumb. - Maybe now Chuck will finally get the hint. Until further notice, it's ovah. - For whatever reason, the whole Blair / Dan dynamic felt emotionally false in this episode. - Can we put Carol and William in a limo and then bring back Max to cut their brakes?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
omfg they moved to april omg yyyyyyy
ReplyDeleteoverall a pretty lame episode but the end was quite perfect!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, wow. Good and bad, but wow.

I thought the same thing about Blair - since when was she the pawn instead of the puppet master? Here's hoping she gets some of that spunk back.

ReplyDeleteyeah they know about it now
ReplyDeletei stopped watching at episode 15 but i know that the whole Ivy/Charlie thing is out.
We call it "evolution of character"
ReplyDeleteYeah "tell me who you ship I'll tell you who you are"
