MIND BLOWN!! LOVED the scene with peter and olivia in the car, it almost made up for the whole you could see it in my eyes thing in season three it was beautiful
That was one of the most finely crafted hours of TV I've ever seen. I was literally holding my breath through nearly every Peter/Olivia conversation. And screaming no no no don't get out of the car. But totally not expecting THAT ending. And I am someone who never saw the UST between them for the first two seasons. God bless a show that lets the ship sail (and crashes it, and patches it up and it just damn well keeps on sailing).
Hell yeah! Fringe you never cease to amaze me! Somehow I knew Walter would be the one to learn the truth. I wonder how long they've had this Nina! I also wonder what alternate Nina that is.
Oh, man what mind fuck it would be if Peter is still in a coma from the first time he was knocked out of the machine!! in the first part of the Season 3 finale. WOOWOWOOOW Trippy
I get it now, it took me a while to figure out who you were talking about but i get it NINA!! Our nina's with liv and alternina dosing Liv is with lincoln and walter
WAIT WHAT WHAT WHAT! honestly most amazing episode ever!! and i have a few questions but after reading the comments on this post i have have SO MANY MORE!! but omg im still in shock so ill ask them later!
I was screaming that about two months ago, but nobody seemed to wanna bite, when I tried to sell it. I figured that everything from the moment that Peter got knocked out by the BBM in season 3 (The Last Sam Weiss) is a dream. The (potential) future that he saw in 2026, the death of Blue Olivia, The whole weirdness when he "woke up" In the hospital and then took a cab to New York looking for his Father "The secretary" All of this season, is his Fever Dream while in a coma. This will bring back the Man X storyline, it'll bring back Henry, or at least remembrances of him. It'll be a full and total reset, thanks to Peter having Desmond disease and being able to transcend time with his consciousness. I cannot wait to see how they explain this one.
You got that right,i hate to say this but i had an extremely busy day and i dozed off for about 5 minutes(i think),but i did see most of it,thank the lord i also DVR it.. So was that Alt-Nina in MD with ,or what ? Shit i can't even speculate until i watch it again..
I'm kinda wondering if we've seen more of Alter-Nina than you may be thinking at the moment. I mean from the moment the doubles were introduced we've all wondered about Alter-Nina and wouldn't it be cool if Alter-Nina has been behind the scenes all along. even in the "old" timeline.
You guys. I don't even know what to say. My brain is still sliding down the wall of my apt. right now cause it exploded. I have never been invested in a show THIS awesome and mind bending. All I can keep saying right now is, 'Fuck! Fuck?WHAT THE FUCK!' And I'm not a 'shipper' person but man, this episode when those two were in the car? I was just like, 'Man, just let these two crazy kids be happy!' LOL! I wish at least 10 of us could be in a room face to face fanning out on this episode!
Anyone know where I can buy some spare jaws and minds online? I stepped on my jaw as I tried to pick it up off the floor and I once again, my mind was blown across the room..... Man, what a brain twister this ep was! Huge kudos for all the performances, the only drawback is that Broyles wasn't onscreen, but for the alterNina, it looks like her jig might be up.... Epic episode, not just awesome!
I could chime in with everybody's Holy Shit!'s and I will, but I just want to step back from the mindfuckery for a moment to note that Astrid is just such a gosh-darn sweetheart. She really is the kindest soul, isn't she? I love her.
... And back to our regularly scheduled reactions. *Ahem* HOLY SHIT!
I am so confused at this point. Was Peter kissing the real Olivia 3.0 or was he kissing a shapeshifter? Please make it the real thing because I'm not sure Peter or I could handle the alternative.
God I love this show! I haven't been this confused since Lost...and I love it! I miss this feeling of Holy S***, What The F*** Is Going On!? God its so good, damn you Nielsen people for not watching this show. Awesome, as always, truly awesome.
I wasn't watching from my home so I missed scenes here and there. Talk about trippy. Walter and Lincoln confront Nina wait Olivia's being run down by a car wait Peter's in the lab wait Nina and Olivia are tied up somewhere and not looking too good. Must rewatch!
There was absolutely no way "I have really got to pee." was going to lead to something good. no way at all.
Yay, Nina isn't a villian. Love that Walter didn't rely only on his eyes to determine if everything was okay with the cortexifan.
I am nearly exploding out of my skin over the promo for next week.
These guys have been kicking ass!
I had been thinking that this episode was how Peter was going to discover that he is in his own universe it's just fundamentally changed....but now...I haven't a freaking clue!
I want to be an Observer so I can bounce ahead to next week...
Omg are peter and olivia ever going to get a real chance. i am so glad that nina isnt evil. Are they going to try and replace olivia? and did you see how happy they were? It was like she was herself again. I really think it is her.
There's a lot about that theory that is really intriguing...but I hope it's not a coma universe. Getting this story wrapped up by the end of the season is going to be difficult and challenging. I think these writers are up to it and I'm excited to see how they tackle the hard road to season end.
I think (hope) we can trust him on that. After the Alt-Olivia betrayal he learned to really look.. It's what saved Olivia when Belly took her over. I think that was a lesson indelibly learned. (I hope. :-)
Jones was really dead and in this universe, really had no idea who Peter was. And I'm guessing Nina is a changeling and the Nina strapped to the chair is the real thing.
To be honest I was too busy gazing at the Polivia eyesex going on during the entire episode as well as taking in the AMAZING dialogues they had that I barely paid any attention to the case this week...(I'll rewatch that for sure after I'm finished with my math exam!)
So,I need someone's help.I read on Twitter something about a hidden message (?) being "Henry"???Where the hell was that and I missed it?And what does that even mean?
Other than the fact that the Nina we saw with Lincoln and Walter is either a shapeshifter or from another universe. I'm thinking Shapeshifter because we know DRJ loves them. Damn this is so messed up but I adore the show.
Yeah your right it has to be Alt-Nina not a Shapeshifter I was wondering how Nina could still be alive when people don't live after the Shapeshifter shifts so to speak, I think I was in shock thats why it didn't come to me before lol!
Thanks a lot.To be honest when I first read that (at about 4.30 am here where I live) I thought that Nina's password for the cortexiphan vials was "Henry" and when I watched the episode later, I was paying attention to what she was typing but it was way too long to be that...I know...pathetic! I guess the answer was much simplier...
I really think this is our Olivia. And I dun think the writers would want to go with "Peter's betraying Olivia" plot again. If they really did, please kill me!
Well I am with Walter and Peter's first response in which what is happening to this Olivia is not really a good thing. The Machine tries to give Peter what he wants of needs. It feels him and creates what he needs. I felt after LSD, that his awareness to whom Olivia was might not only reflect the past in which red Olivia disguised herself as blue Olivia, but that another Olivia (one who is much much closer to his) would become apart of his life again. I am not saying that she isn't our Olivia at all, but rather their could be severe consequences should it remain permanent.
However, it's also possible that if Peter's time line went on with out him, that his Olivia is looking for him...and perhaps her wish fulfillment via Peter and Machine in conjunction ("6B" Love can cause quantum entanglement across time and space) with the re engineered cortexifan, allows "bee hive mind" to occur with this Olivia. (memory transference). As I said before, I think Peter needs his "crow bar" (something that helps him get into the machine) to get home...and now she is here.
The Bee Hive Mind aspect clearly plays into the boys collective abilities, but this again may also reflect the abilities of the Observers, as I believe they were made by man ('a better human being') in some long lost time line, as like the Observers have collective conscience of thought (telepathy and multi-time viewing experiences), and like the Observers share certian DNA ( a type of group clone system), but yet don't look 'exactly identical.
Oh and TWO Nina Sharps! Good call to you guys who saw that coming! I am still torn if she is a true doppleganger or not, or if Jones shapeshifters killed the Other Sharp, or if they don't need to kill anymore to take on another person's appearance????
Really liked the episode. A lot of intense moments! -----but Next weeks looks amazing!
I slightly disagree. I think 2026 timeline he conscienely time traveled (he saw and experienced another already existing Peter's experiences to come to be able to choose "balance"..as further explained by "Peter and the Machine", but he conscinecly came back to his 2011, "stepped out of" his machine - the convergence of a bridge occurred and then he physically disappeared and physically materialized in the season 4 timeline.
I don't think he is dreaming. --But I do think if he goes back he may reset to the events of "the Last Sam Weiss", except that the machine has made the bridge and no one knows how...but Olivia has been looking for him for a while. I think "The Last Sam Weiss" hints that he needs to be friends with Walternate (his father) ---Remember Peter shared conscience with Olivia before going into the machine...part of the reason this could be happening may relate to his Olivia all along (hence Walternate killing Olivia in the 2026 timeline and hence the prophecey of Mr. X, and hence the LSD experience backshaddows and forshaddows repeated events of the universes, as cortecifan has always allowed Olivia to be aware of various other already existing realities (the road not taken/subject 13).
It could be, but I am not convinced there is a "real" alternate yet... I still think the other one may be one of Jone's shapeshifters...for all we know they might not have to "kill" to take on the appearance of their victims...I think she/he could be the one who kills Olivia.
But it would be strange if there is one in our timeline too and we just didn't know it...
actually since they are NOT mercury based, we really don't know for sure if they can take an appeaence with out killing...Jones could be modifying them as he goes...
Why do I get the feeling that this is Peter's timeline, and it is the same Olivia, and the same Walter ... and Olivia is starting to remember Peter even though he was wiped out! I wish September would swing by and explain everything to everyone! :p
Darth,i watched this last night but i couldn't keep my eyes open so i just finished watching again. This is blowing my mind.Is Olivia remembering because of the cortexiphan? There are so many things Olivia remembers on her own without Peter influence as Walter believes.......i need time to think about this and i need to watch this again now.Hope to talk with you later!
One thing that I don't get is when Olivia said that she remembers Peter shimmering the first time they kissed - I thought the first time they kissed was in 2.22 but he wasn't shimmering then.
I can't make heads or tails out of this, there are so many variables....I'm loosing my mind, and to top it off i watched the promo for next week, now i'm banging my head against the wall.....
I love this show so much but at times it drives me crazy......And why are the questions going to be answered next week? Are they totally going to flip us out and throw something else into the mix,or are they letting us down as gently as possible? All i know is if its the later my heart literally cannot take the dreaded news..
If we go back to "The Road Not Taken" Walter explains that he and Bell believed that certain drugs (like LSD) might highten one's awareness to other realities (time lines)...he comes to explain that this was one goal of Cortexifan and we come to know that Olivia is the only 'one' that really succeeds from the trails.
She sees a reality much like her own in TRNT in which she is able to discover that either Nacy Lewis or Susan Pratt were twins and she is able to save one of them in her timeline, where they were both already dead in the other. Walter also explains that cortexifan/LSD might also give one the sense of "De Ja Vu" --implying that one may remember that they have already done something familiar, but Walter tries to explain "branch offs' and several versions of our realities...When we get to "White Tulip" and Peck keeps creating mini branch offs, during the second go around the second version of the that Olivia gets wind she may have already done this/that. (de ja vu)
Then in LSD I think the idea is personified because I think our Olivia is VERY aware of the experiences of other Olivias and thus the premonition of Mr. X.
I am still holding out that THIS Olivia is not ours exactly, or rather she is temporarily our Olivia...I believe that 3 things may come to allow this to happen. 1. The machine "feels" Peter and is trying to help him get what he wants. (He wants to be with his Olivia-he wants to go home --he may need his CROW BAR to get into the machines just like before) 2. If his time line did go on after Peter disappeared, Olivia and Walter may be looking for him---and so both Peter and Olivia are "wishing" to be together and this could then be a by product of both their quantum entanglement ("6B"), and 3. THIS Olivia can receive these memories, because she is physically exposed to re-engineered cortexifan....But I feel this is a mirror to the beginning of Season 3...and Peter needs 'Olivia' to go home, just like Olivia needed 'Peter' to go home.
I trust this Walter's intuition, plus I think "And Those We Left Behind" gave a big clue from Peter himself that he is causing time displacement problems and he may be destroying the time line at a very rapid rate.
But that's just my opinion. I personally thinks he deserves to go home and not settle for a convergence.
What you are saying is sound and makes a great deal of sense, but then when i re-watched the episode, then saw the promo for next week, what ever i believed or thought of went right out the window.I once said they like turning things inside out, upside down and sideways, that is just about how i feel. So which Nina was in MD? I'm assuming its an alt Nina but what about the Nina and Olivia in the bathroom, well i'm assuming it wasn't a bathroom. I think i need to look at this episode again hell this whole season might help. Maybe i need to look for Cheat Sheets,HA! Only kidding..
Olivia was abducted, most likely by Jones and his Shapeshifters, and/or whom ever this other Nina Sharp is...and so 'the real Nina Sharp' was also abducted.
Jones in our timeline was a former Massive Dynamic scientist whom William Bell supposibly never gave recognition and so Jones goes off and gets convicted, and appearently becomes apart of ZFT (and he mentions he was just one of many factions, suggesting that he may not have been 'the highest' in the terrorist organization) I have a feeling those lost storylines from season one and two may manifest "here". We may be able to go beyond Jones, beyond Newton, and get closer to what 'The End of Dayers' were.
Jones abducted Nina attacked Nina in our time line for information/energy cell that was hidden in her arm...
I went to get the transcript for "There's More Than One of Everything" (It sounds like it would connect to "the End of All Things" in terms of title philosophy)
NINA: Well, it's true Jones used to work for William Bell 15 years ago. In fact, he was one of our first employees at Massive Dynamic. But he was let go.OLIVIA: Why?NINA: The details are not important. Suffice to say that Jones felt spurned by the rejection. William was a father figure to him, a respected mentor. I would go as far as to say that all the death and destruction that Jones has caused up until this point has been a way of proving something to William.OLIVIA: To prove what?NINA: Jones always felt that he was special and that no one recognized that, certainly not William.OLIVIA: So before the shooting, when was the last time you saw David Jones?NINA: Oh, I haven't seen him for years. But after he broke out of prison, he was contacting our offices, requesting meetings with Doctor Bell. Over the past few weeks, his calls have become... rather extreme.OLIVIA: You've been in contact with a known felon?NINA: It was an internal matter. Clearly we thought we could manage this better than we did.BROYLES: Apparently, Jones is ill, dying from the teleportation from his prison break. Nina believes Jones' agenda is to kill William Bell when he finds him.OLIVIA: Then Bell needs to come in. We need to put him into protective custody.NINA: Not possible.OLIVIA: Why not? Where is he?NINA: I can't say.OLIVIA: This is ridiculous.NINA: Listen to me Agent Dunham. I can't say because I don't know. I haven't seen William Bell for months. He's been communicating with me strictly electronically. But what I do know, though... is speaking with William Bell has become more than a professional matter for you. In fact, I'm counting on that. Stop Jones and I will personally arrange a meeting between you and Bell. But if Jones gets to Bell first, I'm afraid all the answers you're searching for... die with him.OLIVIA: What did Jones want from you? What did he do to you in the elevator?NINA: (looks at her arm) He stole a very powerful... energy cell that Doctor Bell hid within my arm.OLIVIA: What can he do with it?NINA: Unfortunately, the question is... what can't he do?IMO Since Bell is already dead here, it's hard to say who the target could become instead, as This Jones is going beyond opening one door or crack...In LSD it is Walter that falls out of the Zeppelin to his 'death' over Raden Lake...Perhaps one of the Walters will become a target or victim of these new villains?! Or even Nina Sharp. What ever they need, they think Nina is the key...
As your typing i can actually hear Blair Brown speaking those words. I wonder if Jones knows that Olivia was Bell for a period of time? Between my pain killers for my back and the muscle relaxers i feel like i'm a shape shifter.I realize these are affecting my ability to think clearly, what an excuse right? But your right is it Friday yet?.
Sorry about your back ache. Hope you feel better soon!!
When Peter talked of Peter's memories of his timeline's Jones, Jones was a little disturbed by it. --But it does seem that this is a different version of Jones, hence and alternate timeline, Jones is alive, and that Jones doesn't seem to be aware of the events of Peter's timeline...If he does, he didn't say as much. (So unless Jones the knows the events of the other timeline, then he shouldn't know about our Olivia's "Bell" experience...and it was after the time of our Jones...but who knows what he and his own know about anything!) But--We know the shapeshifters went after Peter. They tried to kill him...and I think we can assume that the elegid nice Nina was abducted prior to Peter's arrival, since Olivia's headaches started before then. --So for whatever reason, 'they' are aware of Peter's existence and they don't like it...so there must be something looming here.
It's strange considering the Observers wanted to eliminate Peter from time too!
If I had to guess, I would say the Nina that was locked up with Olivia is the real one; and the Nina (who I hence forth refer to as Nina-nate) that went into the vault with Lincoln and Walter is the impostor. I think the Peterless timeline is really some sort of shared dream, Inception style. It's so convincing that anyone who's in it, doesn't know it. However, Nina-nate knows this, but can only be removed by someone not in the dream (like Jones). Olivia and Walter's memories from the awake state are starting to bleed through, but they're unable to know they're in a dream. Perhaps this version of Jones and Nina-nate are from the alternate universe. And they teamed up to try and merge the universes together; Jones tested the energy source to see if it would work on a large scale in Westfield. It's hard to say how long this shared dream has lasted. My initial thought was everything from the end of The Day We Died has been part of this dream. There were a lot of strange things in the final 2 episodes of last season that could conceivably be explained by a dream (Peter's odd behavior after he was hospitalized in particular). How the Observers figure into this, I'm not sure. Their presence and statements regarding Peter this season may invalidate my theory. However, I believe after Peter enters September's mind next week, the king Observer (Michael Massee) will come in to clean up this mess caused by September not erasing Peter in the season premiere. September has caused a lot of problems over the course of the series: distracting Walternate, erasing Peter, but then not fully erasing him; bringing him back at Reiden Lake, the list goes on. And he'll have to pay for it. (sorry that this post is so long)
As soon as I saw Nina's hands I knew it wasn't our Nina. Our Nina had one of her hands 'chopped' off when the portal closed when Walter first crossed over to save Peter. This Nina has both hands in tact. I think she's the Alt-Nina rather than a shapeshifter, She was communicating with Alt-Broyles via 'typewriter' and in Season 1 our Nina kissed our Broyles, indicating they once had a thing, maybe the Alternate ones did too.
I tend to agree. I mean, why did they make it so important that we see her "wake up"? I don't know if that's the answer, or if it's some iteration of a dream/state but I'm not 100% sold on the abduction thing. It just seems too obvious that they showed Peter looking for Olivia, the guy the store not seeing her at all, and her waking up.
Yeah, I mean, they would have to be ninjas to get her out of there, get her drugged and tied up in the chair, and all before the cashier saw her. Also, that's a nice picture you have in your profile. Locke was one of my favorite characters.
I also noticed they seem more and more to be dropping little reminders of past episodes, so as to help the audience put it all together. For example, John Scott was brought up tonight, and apartment 6B. Olivia didn't have to use the term "6B." I feel as though we're being prepared for something.
I don't know if they would have grabbed her before she even entered the store or not. I thought Peter was watching as she walked in. But knowing what we know from the preview for next week, I would say that Jones knows something about this "timeline". However, his involvement with the shapeshifters has me perplexed as well.
It goes back to what I've been saying: The Peterless timeline doesn't actually exist. It's a collective dream that people can weave in and out of. I don't know about the shapeshifters, either.
Great episode. - I love the subtleties and not-so-subtleties of this show, like the fact that Olivia and Peter couldn't stop staring and sneaking peeks at each other for the entire episode. - So, how long is it before Walter and Lincoln figure out they're with alt-Nina? - It was kind of silly how, moments after explaining to Olivia that he's cautious and holding back because of how he betrayed Olivia before, Peter latched onto Olivia's face like everything he just said never happened. - I liked how Walter read Peter the riot act for what he thought he was doing to Olivia. It was his way of trying to protect them both. - Hearing Walter say "take me to the bridge" was amusing on multiple levels. - This episode could have used a little Broyles. - It seems as though this world is changing around Peter and it's starting with Olivia because of all that Cortexiphan. Olivia, untie yourself with your mind. You can do it.
From what i have gathered there isnt another timeline at all. It just been rewritten without peter in it. Season 1 peter killed robert jones and he was from the blue universe crossing into the red universe but peter killed him by cutting off the machine. Season 2 red universe was introduced and had showed their side and how it was different also the clash of the universes and blue encountering their red copies,
Throughout season 2 and 3 we witness that effects of what happened when walter brought red peter into blue universe and how walternate wanted to destroy the blue universe for taking peter away and causing the amber to take over the red universe bc of the consequences that was done by taking peter from red universe to blue universe.
Well we saw walternate.alt olivia.alt lincoln.alt. broyles. throughout season 3, After peter disappeared by combining the two universes and saving the world we began to see people seeing their red universe counterparts, In blue universe one was good and in red universe one was bad and so forth was the switch between the two worlds.
Alt nina was introduced because as you know blue and red have different verison so alt nina whos from red universe had both hands as in blue universe she had one because of trying to save walter when he crossed back into the blue world. Then Peter came back and no one knew who he was and how he knows everyone and we witness something that we thought we wouldnt see Robert Jones alive and well and why is because its alt robert jones as his copy in the blue world died by the hands of peter.
In conclusion when red and blue came together alt robert jones had send his shapeshifters into blue world while he stayed in red before escaping to the blue world again. thus allowing alt nina to take over our nina position and pretending to be her. in order to save the world again peter must kill alt robert jones and unfuse the universes together meaning back to where they were before the two worlds ever collided.
Spectacular stuff - so much that was good. Olivia remembers - yay! I loved that moment in the car. I also loved that Walter was so protective of Olivia - and I can't wait to find out how the Peter/Walter relationship will resolve itself. Alt-Nina = awesome!!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
2012 continues it's excellent streak.
ReplyDeleteIt's about time we met the alternate you-know-who!!!
ReplyDeleteWell...I'm speechless. I do have questions, but otherwise speechless.
ReplyDelete(waiting for more comments to come in before I elaborate)
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!

ReplyDeleteMIND BLOWN!! LOVED the scene with peter and olivia in the car, it almost made up for the whole you could see it in my eyes thing in season three it was beautiful
ReplyDeleteSo was it AltNina or a shapeshifter that was injecting the Cortexiphan into Olivia & who is working with/for Jones? SO CONFUSED RIGHT NOW!!!
ReplyDeleteEverything about this show is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThat was one of the most finely crafted hours of TV I've ever seen. I was literally holding my breath through nearly every Peter/Olivia conversation. And screaming no no no don't get out of the car. But totally not expecting THAT ending. And I am someone who never saw the UST between them for the first two seasons. ReplyDeleteHell yeah! Fringe you never cease to amaze me! Somehow I knew Walter would be the one to learn the truth. I wonder how long they've had this Nina! I also wonder what alternate Nina that is.
ReplyDeleteYou can't make a shapeshifter without killing the original, think about that :D
ReplyDeleteMind Raped!!!
ReplyDeleteSo is it AltNina or a shapeshifter that killed AltNina? I'm still so confused!!!!
ReplyDeletethis is episode was great and i cant wait intill the next episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteFringe is seriously on a roll since coming back this year, and really its an up word spike, each episode getting better and better.
ReplyDeleteI was screaming that about two months ago, but nobody seemed to wanna bite, when I tried to sell it. I figured that everything from the moment that Peter got knocked out by the BBM in season 3 (The Last Sam Weiss) is a dream. It'll be a full and total reset, thanks to Peter having Desmond disease and being able to transcend time with his consciousness. I cannot wait to see how they explain this one.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to re-watch this one! Definitely got some thinkin on this one to do.
ReplyDeleteYou got that right,i hate to say this but i had an extremely busy day and i dozed off for about 5 minutes(i think),but i did see most of it,thank the lord i also DVR it..
ReplyDeleteSo was that Alt-Nina in MD with ,or what ? Shit i can't even speculate until i watch it again..
WHERE IS THE EPIC BUTTON???
ReplyDeleteIs it the 24th yet. I want to know what happens next week, NOW!
seriously we need a 'pieces of my brain are slipping down the wall' button but cause that's how the last 2-3 episodes have made me feel
ReplyDeleteyes sir. we really need an epic button for this show
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda wondering if we've seen more of Alter-Nina than you may be thinking at the moment. I mean from the moment the doubles were introduced we've all wondered about Alter-Nina and wouldn't it be cool if Alter-Nina has been behind the scenes all along. even in the "old" timeline.
ReplyDeleteThat crossed my mind,i wouldn't put anything past Nina! Gotta tell ya i'm signing off for now and hitting dream land.Sorry i can't keep me eyes open!
ReplyDeleteSleep Tite!
ReplyDeleteYou guys.
ReplyDeleteYep! It must be! Shine on Blair Brown!
ReplyDeleteAnyone know where I can buy some spare jaws and minds online? I stepped on my jaw as I tried to pick it up off the floor and I once again, my mind was blown across the room.....
ReplyDeleteMan, what a brain twister this ep was!
I love her.
ReplyDelete...
ReplyDeleteGod I love this show! I haven't been this confused since Lost...and I love it! I miss this feeling of Holy S***, What The F*** Is Going On!? God its so good, damn you Nielsen people for not watching this show. Awesome, as always, truly awesome.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't watching from my home so I missed scenes here and there. Talk about trippy. Walter and Lincoln confront Nina wait Olivia's being run down by a car wait Peter's in the lab wait Nina and Olivia are tied up somewhere and not looking too good. Must rewatch!
ReplyDeleteO_o What the hell happened???
ReplyDeleteWOW!
Awesome.... and soooo Freaking Fringe!!!
♥
It's Olivia, he saw it in her eyes. If it were anyone else, Peter would be wiser than to kiss her.
ReplyDeleteAstrid with Sean was the cutest thing ever! So good to hear someone compliment Astrid.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that what happened when he kissed Alt-Olivia too though? And look what a mess that turned out to be.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was the Real Olivia 3.0 Peter was kissing and then she got out of the car and got kidnapped
ReplyDeleteOh my god!!! She's not evil!!!
ReplyDeleteThere was absolutely no way "I have really got to pee." was going to lead to something good. no way at all.
ReplyDeleteYay, Nina isn't a villian.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot about that theory that is really intriguing...but I hope it's not a coma universe. Getting this story wrapped up by the end of the season is going to be difficult and challenging. I think these writers are up to it and I'm excited to see how they tackle the hard road to season end.
ReplyDeleteI think (hope) we can trust him on that. After the Alt-Olivia betrayal he learned to really look.. It's what saved Olivia when Belly took her over. I think that was a lesson indelibly learned. (I hope. :-)
ReplyDeleteHe's Fauxlivia's type eh Liv? :P
ReplyDeleteAMAZING episode btw! Fringe never disappoints!!
Jones was really dead and in this universe, really had no idea who Peter was. And I'm guessing Nina is a changeling and the Nina strapped to the chair is the real thing.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I was too busy gazing at the Polivia eyesex going on during the entire episode as well as taking in the AMAZING dialogues they had that I barely paid any attention to the case this week...(I'll rewatch that for sure after I'm finished with my math exam!)
ReplyDeleteSo,I need someone's help.I read on Twitter something about a hidden message (?) being "Henry"???Where the hell was that and I missed it?And what does that even mean?
I really hope it isnt all a dream. that is such a copout. But fringe is never what you think, so who know.
ReplyDeleteThis!
ReplyDeleteI HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON!!!
ReplyDeleteOther than the fact that the Nina we saw with Lincoln and Walter is either a shapeshifter or from another universe.
ReplyDeleteHENRY was the word spelled in glyphs during the episode
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot.To be honest when I first read that (at about 4.30 am here where I live) I thought that Nina's password for the cortexiphan vials was "Henry" and when I watched the episode later, I was paying attention to what she was typing but it was way too long to be that...I know...pathetic!
ReplyDeleteI guess the answer was much simplier...
great episode :D
ReplyDeletethere's a lot of green in this one
I really think this is our Olivia.
ReplyDeleteAnd I dun think the writers would want to go with "Peter's betraying Olivia" plot again. If they really did, please kill me!
Damn! That shit blew my mind! (In a good way!)
ReplyDelete"A Better Human Being"
ReplyDeleteWell I am with Walter and Peter's first response in which what is happening to this Olivia is not really a good thing.
Realised just how much I miss Olivia... series classic! Roll on next weeks mid season finale...
ReplyDeleteRicky, you're a prophet. And I think you're right.
ReplyDeleteEvery episode after the break was great, but this one was just epitomic.
ReplyDeleteI slightly disagree.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he is dreaming.
ReplyDeleteBut it would be strange if there is one in our timeline too and we just didn't know it...
OMG I can't imagine all of us in a room together! Ha! --It would be something!
ReplyDeleteMy only complaint is that the hour went past too damm fast. Fringe is one fantastic series. We need at least one more season.
ReplyDeleteIt can't be a shapeshifters. They need to kill so It's alt-Nina. Damn.
ReplyDeleteactually since they are NOT mercury based, we really don't know for sure if they can take an appeaence with out killing...Jones could be modifying them as he goes...
ReplyDeleteWhy do I get the feeling that this is Peter's timeline, and it is the same Olivia, and the same Walter ... and Olivia is starting to remember Peter even though he was wiped out! I wish September would swing by and explain everything to everyone! :p
ReplyDeleteThat end is awesome, Nina really does love Oliva and there both kidnapped. My money on shapeshifter in her place
ReplyDeleteI can't believe this,i need to let this sink in my emotions are all over the place, wow
ReplyDeleteDarth,i watched this last night but i couldn't keep my eyes open so i just finished watching again. This is blowing my mind.Is Olivia remembering because of the cortexiphan? There are so many things Olivia remembers on her own without Peter influence as Walter believes.......i need time to think about this and i need to watch this again now.Hope to talk with you later!
ReplyDeleteFor once a bomb could have gone off and i.would not have known. Sorry we didn't get to chat!
ReplyDeletejust like the letter FRINGE intro, it blow and scatter everywhere and slowly pull together haha.
ReplyDeleteeven Observer dont know what event come into play next
ReplyDeleteOne thing that I don't get is when Olivia said that she remembers Peter shimmering the first time they kissed - I thought the first time they kissed was in 2.22 but he wasn't shimmering then.
ReplyDeleteI can't make heads or tails out of this, there are so many variables....I'm loosing my mind, and to top it off i watched the promo for next week, now i'm banging my head against the wall.....
ReplyDeleteI love this show so much but at times it drives me crazy......And why are the questions going to be answered next week? Are they totally going to flip us out and throw something else into the mix,or are they letting us down as gently as possible? All i know is if its the later my heart literally cannot take the dreaded news..
If we go back to "The Road Not Taken" Walter explains that he and Bell believed that certain drugs (like LSD) might highten one's awareness to other realities (time lines)...he comes to explain that this was one goal of Cortexifan and we come to know that Olivia is the only 'one' that really succeeds from the trails.
ReplyDeleteShe sees a reality much like her own in TRNT in which she is able to discover that either Nacy Lewis or Susan Pratt were twins and she is able to save one of them in her timeline, where they were both already dead in the other.
ReplyDeleteSo which Nina was in MD? I'm assuming its an alt Nina but what about the Nina and Olivia in the bathroom, well i'm assuming it wasn't a bathroom. I think i need to look at this episode again hell this whole season might help. Maybe i need to look for Cheat Sheets,HA! Only kidding..
One word, Awesome!
ReplyDeleteOlivia was abducted, most likely by Jones and his Shapeshifters, and/or whom ever this other Nina Sharp is...and so 'the real Nina Sharp' was also abducted.
ReplyDeleteJones in our timeline was a former Massive Dynamic scientist whom William Bell supposibly never gave recognition and so Jones goes off and gets convicted, and appearently becomes apart of ZFT (and he mentions he was just one of many factions, suggesting that he may not have been 'the highest' in the terrorist organization) I have a feeling those lost storylines from season one and two may manifest "here".
Awesome episode! I'm glad there is an Alt-Nina... Otherwise she would have been to evil and scheming even for her.
ReplyDeleteAs your typing i can actually hear Blair Brown speaking those words. I wonder if Jones knows that Olivia was Bell for a period of time? Between my pain killers for my back and the muscle relaxers i feel like i'm a shape shifter.I realize these are affecting my ability to think clearly, what an excuse right? But your right is it Friday yet?.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your back ache. Hope you feel better soon!!
ReplyDeleteWhen Peter talked of Peter's memories of his timeline's Jones, Jones was a little disturbed by it. --But it does seem that this is a different version of Jones, hence and alternate timeline, Jones is alive, and that Jones doesn't seem to be aware of the events of Peter's timeline...If he does, he didn't say as much. (So unless Jones the knows the events of the other timeline, then he shouldn't know about our Olivia's "Bell" experience...and it was after the time of our Jones...but who knows what he and his own know about anything!)
But--We know the shapeshifters went after Peter.
ReplyDeleteI think the Peterless timeline is really some sort of shared dream, Inception style.
(sorry that this post is so long)
Apparently he will ;-)
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw Nina's hands I knew it wasn't our Nina.
ReplyDeleteI tend to agree.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I mean, they would have to be ninjas to get her out of there, get her drugged and tied up in the chair, and all before the cashier saw her.
ReplyDeleteAlso, that's a nice picture you have in your profile.
ReplyDeleteEvery day i dread opening this site thinking that i am going to see its been cancelled !
ReplyDeleteThanks. I approve of yours as well ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't know if they would have grabbed her before she even entered the store or not.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the shapeshifters, either.
Great episode.
ReplyDelete- I love the subtleties and not-so-subtleties of this show, like the fact that Olivia and Peter couldn't stop staring and sneaking peeks at each other for the entire episode.
ReplyDeleteSeason 1 peter killed robert jones and he was from the blue universe crossing into the red universe but peter killed him by cutting off the machine.
Well we saw walternate.alt olivia.alt lincoln.alt. broyles. throughout season 3,
After peter disappeared by combining the two universes and saving the world we began to see people seeing their red universe counterparts, In blue universe one was good and in red universe one was bad and so forth was the switch between the two worlds.
