Filming on Season 5 starts very soon so I thought I would do a poll to see what people wanted to see happen. These are the main wishes I've seen so far from fans on-line but please feel free to add your own in the comments below. You can vote for three different options in this poll.
More Emrys and Mordred returning are my 2 big wishes, and I went for dragon fight for the third but only if the CGI is up for it, lol.

ReplyDeleteWell,of the above the only thing I wouldn't be overly excited about is Gwen getting pregnant.They should save it for when we're closer to the series finale.
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to see Mordred again.And I want them to include the knights in the story lines as much as possible.
Merlin's magical reveal..I doubt there's someone who's NOT looking forward to it!
All of it except for Gwen getting pregnant. It's just not the time and the whole fourth season was focused on her becoming the queen. Can we get a little development for other characters, for example for Arthur to start uniting Albion and for Merlin to finally reveal the magic. Or for Morgana to get her redemption.

ReplyDelete- I'm not sure Aithusa is evil as I've read in some places, but I'd like to see Kilgharrah and Merlin scolding him for helping Morgana. Although a dragon fight would be very cool.
- Please no more Morgana trying to take over Camelot.
- The Knights being more important, not just for comedic purpose or simple backup, maybe seeing the Round Table again?
- I don't think Arthur should find out that Merlin has magic yet, but I'd like to see Gwen or one of the knights finding out, poor Merlin needs a friend to know.
- And this wish is a bit hard, don't hate me, but I think it's time for Gaius to go so that Merlin can take the next step in terms of growth. Gwen lost her father very early in the series, Arthur lost Uther and he became king, and Morgana lost her sister and became more powerful because of it, and yet Merlin still depends on Gaius to tell him right and wrong, and even if he was important in Merlin's development, I feel that sometimes he held him back. Merlin needs to take full control of his future, make his own decisions, whether they're right or wrong.

More time spent with Merlin and Arthur on their adventures together. It would be nice to see Gwen pregnant, but I don't think it would fit in very well with what the series is all about.
ReplyDeleteNo pregnant Gwen please, that will just leave her out of the action more. I'd rather she continued brushing up on her sword skills. A Merlin reveal would be great, he needs another confidant now Lance is gone.

ReplyDeleteI like old Merlin/Emrys, but it seems like they just use him to keep Merlin's magic secret. I'm all for the magic reveal, so no more old Merlin if it's just used as a cover-up. Gwen pregnant wouldn't fit in with the series and would probably leave her out of a lot of action. God, the Mordred and Morgana team up would be awesome! As to a dragon fight, I think they've set that up pretty well with the whole Aithusa-ending.

ReplyDeleteMagic reveal, duh. I'm more interested in Merlin-Morgana teaming up instead of Mordred tbh. Less comedy and more drama (one can only hope XD)

ReplyDeleteway for Arthur to find out. Want to see Merlin and Arthur becoming the great
wizard and King that they are destined to become. Thus would like to see a more
mature Arthur and Merlin. Less slap stick comedy. Would like to see the round
table make another appearance. Would like to see more Arthur/Merlin and the
knights going out on adventures, and hopefully Gwen can come along too. Would
like Gwen to become a warrior queen as opposed to a stay at home queen as the
boys go off on great adventures. Would also like to see how the royal couple is
dealing with married life.
Enough already with a relative of Arthur’s worming their way
in, and betraying him. Finally,enough
with Morgan trying to take over/taking over Camelot. It has been done twice
already, time to move on and have another story that doesn’t involve the fall
of Camelot.
This entire post is perfect. I agree with everything above. I would actually love if Gwen found out about the magic before Arthur but I'm afraid they would use it as a way to cause problems between Gwen and Arthur.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Merlin not only recognized and appreciated by Arthur but also by the druids and other magic people who take HIS side and not Morgana's.
ReplyDeleteArthur and Merlin becoming equals and developing side by side to the characters legends speak of.
I agree with all those who do not want to see Morgana trying to take Camelot over AGAIN.
I hope the writers can think of something new.
Mordred returning in some capacity would be great, but I hope that they do not take the legend too seriously on this part and have Arthur killed by him.
Interesting what you say about Gaius. I think he could only go after a magic reveal, or after someone else has found out about Merlin. Otherwise Merlin has no one left to talk to!
ReplyDeleteGaius is also the one who gives us the insights on all the magical beings and procedures. So that would need to be addressed, too.
I Want to see and lern more about the history of each knight, and it will be really cool that gwaine finds out the truth about merlin and suport him as lancelot did before

- More Merlin on screen: Merlin is about Merlin, so give us more Merlin!
- More Old Emrys and more stories about Merlin being Emrys.
- More of Merlin being the last Dragon Lord and more scenes between Merlin and the dragons.
- Merlin going on quests on his own.
- A bit magic fight between Merlin and Morgana, with Merlin winning.
- Merlin revealing his magic and him being a powerful sorcerer.
- Merlin practicing his magic on screen and demontrating his high powers during a big battle.

ReplyDeleteToo soon for pregnancy! Gwen needs time to adjust to her new role as Queen. Would be interesting if Gwen turned out to be descended from nobility from her mother's side.
ReplyDeleteI love to see more new knights: Bors, Kay, Galahad, Gaheris, Gareth, Bevidere, and legends say there was even a Saracen among them. More strong female leads too but NOT interested in Arthur. The other knights are lacking in love! Arthur can't have all the girls!
