Thanks to Bruce_F for the heads up.
Syfy is developing a series version of the 2010 supernatural thriller Legion, which starred Paul Bettany. The feature’s director/co-writer Scott Stewart is set to direct and executive produce the TV adaptation, which will be written by Vaun Wilmott (Sons Of Anarchy).

Might be good
ReplyDeleteI am not familiar with Legion.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt1038686/
ReplyDeleteOh man, that movie was terrible and made absolutely no sense. But Paul and Kate Walsh were pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you D,now i remember it,and i remember why i had no desire to see it,lol..I hope the series will be better.:)
ReplyDeletehmmm, it wasn't that good of a movie so I'm on the fence on how it would translate to a series.... but this would be up syfy's wheelhouse
ReplyDeleteThe film was okay. The series will be sh!tty anyway. Syfy cant make a damn good thing anymore.
ReplyDeleteThe movie wasn't that great, just liked the angels stuff (not the demonic angel stuff but Michael and Gabriel). I may check this out just to see what it's storyline will be.
ReplyDeleteShould be interesting, I remember the film, but I am not sure what they going to do here, Humans running away from Angels fighting among themselves and the Humans, one among Humans going to save them, if that happens isn't that "Fallen"?
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth! I don't know why they even call themselves a Sy-Fy channel.Seems like ever since they decided to change there name, there programming sucks..Except fore Warehouse 13,Sanctuary,Haven,and my favorite Eureka,if i'm not mistaken even these were in production before the name change.
ReplyDeleteNot a lot of desire to see this one.. Angels. Bleh.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I will probably check it out since I usually check out any genre series....
I thought the general premise of Legion was a good idea but the execution fell way short. The best thing they could do is think of this as a "do over" and fix everything (or avoid) everything that didn't work in the film.
ReplyDeleteI quite enjoyed the film as mindless escapism but don't see how it would translate to a tv series.
ReplyDeletewas the worst movie ever, the trailer was so promising...
ReplyDeleteReally don't know what to think. But....it seems if SyFy does it. I will love it.
ReplyDeleteThe movie sucked. A TV show would be a pale shadow of a movie that sucked. As an aside: who in their right mind thought that Paul Bettany made a good action star?!? Legion and Priest sucked...BIG TIME. And so does Jude Law for that matter since we're on the topic and they're similar in look and sensibilities.
ReplyDeleteTerrible, TERRIBLE movie!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I'm quite excited!
ReplyDeleteIf they only take the basics from that awful movie & throw away pretty much everything else then MAYBE this show might have a chance of being watchable. I was excited for that movie & was so incredibly disappointed with how awful it was. The only good thing about it was Paul.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I liked the concept of the film (but hated the execution) so if they take that and improve on it, I might be able to get on board with this. We'll see, I guess.
ReplyDeleteMaybe someone saw that it would be a better story if it was told slower, think about all the great TV shows.. Supernatural, Lost, the walking dead, chuck just to name a few. I love them to death but a singular movie would not have been as good as a tv series. I'll give it 5 episodes as I do all new tv shows that slightly spark my interest, it could work. (It was a god awful movie though)
ReplyDeleteAustralia was the worst movie ever.
ReplyDeleteHuh. Not sure if want.
ReplyDeleteSeriously? ANOTHER Supernatural 'show' from SYFY? GIVE US THAT BSG BLOOD & CHROME SPIN-OFF ALREADY! Plus more Seasons of SANCTUARY!
