The Killing - Season 2 - Casting News - Marin Ireland cast as Holder's Sister

28 Feb 2012

Homeland terrorist Marin Ireland is about to make another Killing.

The actress — who played one half of a lethal, anti-American husband-wife team during the Showtime drama’s inaugural season — is joining The Killing in the potentially recurring role of Liz, sister to Joel Kinnaman’s Detective Holder.

The character is described as a tough, blue collar girl who won’t take you-know-what from her brother — or anybody for that matter.

  3. Learning more about Holder should be awesome, best character on the show.

  4. I liked her enough in Homeland, she should be alright as Holder's sister.

  5. This is a solid casting choice but I'm still bitter about how last season ended and how the show reneged on their supposed intent to reveal the killer in the first part of the new season and then move on.  They pushed the reveal back to the end of season two.
