Thanks to Ashwaq for the heads up.

  1. Oh, the irony! John Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch were together in Frankenstein, playing the main parts. And now they will be both Sherlocks.

  2. Really? Doesn't really strike me as the Sherlock type...

  3. Still isn't making me want to see it.

  4. I agree.. as much as i like that actor, but I don't think it'll suit him :(

  5. Johnny you can do better than this!!

  6. Hmm, i don't see it either, he comes across so fresh-faced and soft. However, i am willing to be surprised, and goodness knows casting has surprised us all in the past many times (i was reading recently about the uproar when Michael Keaton was cast as Batman, because he was known only for comedies).

  7.  Ha, strange how everything links together! Not ironic, but coincidental, certainly.

  8. I liked the person who suggested Jasika Nicole as Holmes.

  9. i will always compare him to masterful performance of Benedict.... until i see the pilot i am a bit wary on this series. longer american seasons make for some boring and sub par episodes

  10. That would have been so freaking unbelievably awesome.

  11. You never know he could be great in this,or good.....

  12.  that would have been too much of a leap for me. I am a fan of Sherlock Holmes as a character and that character is male. Sherlock and Watson are male characters and that is elementary to the premise of the show (pun intended).

  13. I wonder if the character of Sherlock is going to be British on this show.

  14. Damn...I'm a fan of Jonny Lee Miller but I'm still unsure about this pilot.

  15. I wonder if they'll let him keep the accent?

  16. Wow.  CBS is developing a detective show?  That would be a drastic change from the dramas they usually show.  I'm not sure it'll fit in.

  17. No. Sorry. I don't like the idea of another Sherlock show/movie series anyway but JLM is not who'd make me tune into a new one.

  18. Well I was probably going to check this out anyway.... Now I'm certainly going to check this out....
My opinion has not changed and I do not have high hopes regardless....

  19. I do quite like Johnny Lee Miller, but have no desire to see this show... really hoping it doesn't get picked up.

  20. Damn I was so ready to totally dismiss this show but i love Jonny Lee Miller! If he keeps his English accent, I may just have to give it a peek?

  21. I may watch the pilot but I will always be comparing this version to the British one. I know they are going to be different but the Moffatt one is just brilliant.

  22. Seriously? Remaking Sherlock? And setting it in New York? Unbelievable...

  23. I'm feeling the same way if I'm honest.  His casting makes it seem like they are going for a different feel to the BBC version so I'm a lil more hopeful, lol.
