I was lucky enough to be on a conference call about two weeks ago with both Kyle Killen and Howard Gordon, the executive producers of Awake. Read below and feel free to sound off in the comments.

    Good read. Some great info in there.

    One question I have that I wonder if anyone can answer for me: in this conference call and in past interviews I've heard these guys mentioning penguins in relation to the show, but I have no frame of reference for where that originally came from or what it's supposed to mean. Is it some running inside joke, or did they say that there were going to be penguins in some episode, explain the importance of their appearance, and then just constantly refer back to the penguins without providing the context from that original reveal?

    Finally getting around to reading this now I've seen the pilot, all the talk about red and green inevitably makes me think of Fringe but in a good way!
