ReplyDeleteIt took a lot of soul-searching, narrowed it down to three possibilities (you're welcome) : Manny & Alex (Modern Family), Sheldon & Penny (TBBT) or Walter & Astrid (Fringe).
ReplyDeleteNah, I'd say Jeff & Annie (they said it in the musical opening of the season, after all). Although the fact that it is a "popular" network series makes me question that it could be related to Community.
Please let it be Jeff and Annie on Community. That's the only couple that comes to my mind, maybe...Chase and Adams on House?

ReplyDeleteThat being said, I wonder about Laurie and Travis on Cougar Town. Ausiello does seem to be WAY ahead of everybody when it comes to that show, and it fits all of the criteria (except maybe the "popular" bit).
I don't think it'll be Dair as some people are saying. They're going to date or, idk, be together now and theur relationship isn't unrequited anymore, i guess people will say it's taking to long for them to have sex if they'll be together in 5x17 and wait 6 episodes to do it.

These "blind item" stories are the absolute worst - intentionally vague in a lame attempt to rake in hits from every fandom speculating about it. Not exactly a stretch to claim that major moments (hookups, deaths) will happen during May sweeps.

together to be truly satisfying" This is the key line here which means the pairing is new or the show itself is new which means that its probably not Jeff & Annie (Community), Castle & Beckett (Castle) or Tony & Ziva (NCIS). I'd say the best candidates are: Dan & Blair (Gossip Girl) or Dave & Alex (Happy Endings).

I'm going to say Castle & Beckett cause there's been some crazy flirtation and attraction this season and cause it might bring out those feelings that Beckett's has been holding on to since the last season finale.
ReplyDeleteI think this is Castle and Beckett because the shows creator has said that he wasn't going to wait as long to get them together as other shows have like Bones so that would be my 1st guess. My 2nd guess is Kenzi and Deeks but I think those 2 would be way too soon but who knows. My 3rd is Tony and Ziva but i'm pretty sure that the shows creator has said that it won't ever happen, but like everybody else i'm guessing and i'm probably way off but those are my top 3 anyway.

ReplyDeleteI'm HOPING it's Nick and Jess from New Girl. 1.) New Girl is a hit show in the ratings, so that applies to the clue given above. 2.) It's a first season happening, so the whole "early" fits the description. 3.) Unrequited doesn't really qualify in terms of "one sided" because I see both of them mutually liking them! BUT after looking in a dictionary, "unrequited" can also mean "unrecognized" "unrealized." So that would fit them not knowing yet how they feel about each other. 4.) Nick and Jess are hugely popular with the fans so that also fits the "popular" description.
ReplyDeleteThe ONLY other possibility I see is Mary Margaret and David from Once Upon a Time. The clues fit them as well. 1.) Once Upon a Time is a big hit on ABC 2.) It's in its first season also. So I that could fit the "early" comment. 3.) The fact that it's not a "dream" also fits the whole fairy tale aspect. 4.) Now, unrequited doesn't really fit them since both characters LOVE each other. Unrealized/unrecognized also doesn't really fit them since they are both aware of their feelings. I believe the other definition of unrequited could mean "a lot of obstacles/things in their way" which would fit into their whole storyline in terms of the curse.
My HOPE is that it's Nick and Jess. But there is a big chance that it's David and Mary Margaret.
There are Deeks and Kenzi from NCIS LA. 1.) Big hit show on CBS. 2.) I think it's a second solid year for them as a duo, so perhaps could be qualified under "early"??? 3.) Unrequited could mean "not recognized/not aware," so that would qualify.
And finally, there are Lloyd and Julianne from Breakout Kings, the show is coming back in March. And well, it's only in its second season. Lloyd is definitely in love with Julianne, but we don't know her feelings yet. So the "unrequited" would fit them perfectly. The ONLY thing is that I don't think Breakout Kings is a "big/hit" on A&E. I think it's doing good in ratings. But it's not a "big hit."
So my choices are:
1.) Nick and Jess (New Girl)
2.) Mary Margaret and David (Once Upon a Time)
3.) Deeks and Kensi (NCIS LA)
and as a LONG shot 4.) Lloyd and Julianne from Breakout Kings.
As for what others have said, it can't be a couple that has been building for YEARS. No way would that qualify under "too soon/too early," so you can easily take off MANY couples from your guesses! Also, there are FEW "big hits/high ratings" shows, so you can take off more couples.
Dan/Blair, GG is not a "hit" anymore. And that pairing isn't "too soon."
Castle/Beckett, 4 or more years in the making, not "too soon" either, and Castle isn't a "big" hit show.
NCIS -Tiva, 9 years in the making, doesn't qualify under "too soon."
Jeff/Annie - Community isn't a "big" hit tv show.
Lisbon/Patrick- 4 seasons isn't "early" for a couple.
Damon/Elena - 3 seasons on a CW show isn't considered "early" or "too soon." It's a show where everyone gets together after only a few episodes! If anything, them getting together would already be considered too slow!
3 seasons isnt too early on but the Damon and Elena relationship has slowly progressed so for them to just have kissed, and then Elena go back to her feelings about Stefan, and then if Damon and Elena actually have sex it does feel rushed and sudden in their relationship! Although fans have been waiting for Delena to happen realistically it would be too soon in their relationship. Not that i would complain if it happens!
