    I haven't read the article but I think we ALL know that Jamie's character was dead before the actor even got to set.

    I think they just don't know how to write for black actresses (see The Secret Circle's Melissa for further investigation). So Bonnie gets ignored and/or poorly written. I would much rather see her hook up with Matt (earlier in the season that was the route I thought they were going to take (but really I wouldn't want Elena AND Caroline's left overs, either). I was never a fan of the Jeremy hook up. I don't know squat about Bonnie really, except she's a witch and she waffles in her convictions too easily.
