A FLIP OF THE COIN — After starting her day with a startling discovery of Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) latest indiscretion, Elena (Nina Dobrev) is frustrated to find that none of her friends agree with her on how they should react to the Original family’s internal power struggle. Once again caught up in the destiny of the Bennett witches, Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Abby (guest star Persia White) find themselves playing a part in a ritual to appease the spirits of nature. When Elijah (guest star Daniel Gillies) gives Damon and Stefan (Paul Wesley) a dangerous ultimatum that puts Elena in danger, they turn to Alaric (Matt Davis) and Meredith (guest star Torrey Devitto) for help with a plan that leads them to a terrible choice. Candice Accola also stars. Pascal Verschooris directed the episode written by Evan Bleiweiss & Michael Narducci (##315).

    This show is full of ultimatums and terrible choices, so nothing new there.  Damon's "indiscretion" was inevitable.  He's never been one to display much patience.

    I've got to say, I'm really over the whole "everyone misses multiple episodes but Caroline" thing.  How many episodes do Kat, Steven, Zach, and Michael miss?  How many does Candice miss?  I'm not sure how big Caroline's role will be in this episode but I doubt it's anything huge since she's listed at the end. Which is my point.  Caroline always manages to get worked into almost every episode somehow.

    I'm going to be pretty pissed if this "indiscretion" causes her to jump back to Stefan.  I mean she probably pushes him away and he finds comfort with Katherine.  THEN she's going to be mad?  Really?

    indiscretion is like when something is wrong with them meaning that they kind or act up or develop problems, a typical Damon thing

    I understand your frustration but you know that this is kind of a typical Damon thing right? I mean they can't make him be too much of a softie and love sick over Elena all of the time, some obstacles is going to get in the way like it did with Stefan and Elena every relationship can't be perfect.

    idk, Thomas. Granted, she gets more to do than Bonnie or Jeremy or Matt or Tyler. But not that much more. And I think they are under different contracts where some sit out more than others. I mean, Tyler's not even going to be in the next five episodes. I'd like to say I suspect Bonnie will have more presence in the last 5-6 eps, but I wouldn't be convincing. As you well know, she is dreadfully underwritten and often relegated to a B or C-plot story. Still, I don't feel like I see that much more of Caroline than I do some of the other players. It's just sometimes she gets a string of eps where her role is more prominent than usual. But I could be wrong. That's just how it feels to me.

    I'm just sad Tyler isn't gonna be around for the next 5 episodes..not fair..I knew that elijah is an original first and a backstapper second. I respect he has fans but I don't like him or trust him anymore then I do Klaus.

    And Damon I really wish he'd grow up at times, brought a smile to my face when no one is backing Elena on how to deal w/ their enemies in HER way. Bout time too. :)

    damon did the right thing with rebekah (i think anyone would have reacted the same way ). elena is starting to piss  a lot of people  off lately by keep denying that she has feelings for damon.
