Sounds cool! I love Mark Pellegrino! He's always wonderful. But I am skeptical about this especially since Sam's hallucinations have been gone from the forefront for so long and we still have to get through another three episodes before they return. I don't know if they'll get able to pull this off well. It might be a little late. But I'm hopeful even it I do have my doubts. Do we know who is writing this episode? It is Ben Edlund? He did a wonderful job with "Hello, Cruel World," so he might be able to work some magic with a lost storyline. Or is it Drabb and Loflin? Their episodes are kind of a crapshoot and so far they're 0-2 this season. I'm not sure if one of the new writers could pull this off. It could be a really difficult story to pull off. I hope it's not turned into a comedy. I want something scary if it involves Mark Pellegrino.
(Man, am I fussy tonight! Long bad days and then commenting online do not mix! I guess Crowley got it right when he changed Hell into standing in lines, because after a day of it I'm down right miserable! Haha! I'm sorry!)
Bwah!!! She does deserve her own promotion before she comes back. A little sneak peek, some promo shots, and of course some classic rock in the background.
I swear they need, really need, to make the hugest fuss and biggest bang of music when they bring her back or it will be a big letdown. I've been assuming this is the episode because of the title and Edlund...
This is a mixed bag, I don't like Mark P. as Lucifer, it falls kind of flat for me but if we are FINALLY getting back around to Sammy then I guess, I have to be all for it but then again, it has the potential to be super lame and lackluster, but they could surprise me, who knows
I wish there was some way to convince him and the producers to let him play Lucifer as Pellegrino's lawyer character from The Closer instead. I would love to see that.
If Mark P. is back I take it to mean that we will get more insight into Sam's Hell experiences and that is definitely a must for me.
As much as I love Dean, I feel that we know just about everything there is to know about him for the moment, whereas Sam remains much more enigmatic. We still don't really know what went on in the 180 years in Hell and I would love to hear about what he went through there ( and a closure on the Adam thing). It would be nice for him to unburden himself to someone who isn't Dean but who knows all about their world and can listen to him without the emotional bagage that Dean carries.
We know he meets an old friend in the next episode and while I like Jodie Mlils, I would prefer to have more of a surprise on his old friend's identity, maybe someone from Stanford.
I wonder if Lucifer knows anything about the Leviathans? He is the Devil after all, he should get intel now and then from somewhere!
Finally something to get excited about this season. Hopefully this will be the start of Sam's arc for the season, I'm hoping for at least 1 episode in the second half.
these was some doubt as to whether he would be available, my guess is the writing of Sam's arc this season has been heavily based on Mark's availablitiy. Which means that if he isnt available beyong episode 15 there may be a chance it will be the last of that storyline we see before it is killed off permenantly.
Someone from Stanford would be cool but so would Jody, as long as this person and Sam have great scenes together and this person is kept around for Sam then I'll be pleased. Sam needs a friend, someone to talk to, someone to share his burdens with, someone who can help him even just by listening. It would also be cool to see Sam have someone other than Dean to work with which is why Jody would be awesome, she could be quite the hunter and training/working alongside Sam and learning the ropes. I quite like the idea of Sam working with her when he and Dean split up, it would be fun.
Pellegrino's a lot of fun; I loved him in LOST, and the "Supernatural" episodes he appears in are some of my favorites. It'll be nice to see him again--I wish his schedule allowed him to be around more often.
More Sam, more Crowley, more Lucifer, do right by the Cas fans, step up the Leviathan arc, concentrate on moving the season along not just pissing about with silly little fillers about boring characters with a side order of angst.
The writers need to step it up bringing back Lucifer/Sam's hellucinations in episode 15 is a great start if not a loong time coming. They always leave all the good stuff to the last minute having wasted so many episodes on boring things.
The problem is I don't think the writers have any IDEA how to handle the wall issue (other than Sam squeezing his hand and being completely, 100% normal and fine). I'm just not certain the wall issue is sustainable even for this season, let alone any that may follow.
That's GREAT news - I love Mark Pellegrino, despite what that means for poor Sam. Well, maybe it'll make things a little friendlier around here, anyway.
I was hoping this "old friend:of Sam in the next episode would be Bobby. Not Bobby the friendly ghost but Bobby alive in the flesh (not sure how but hes back) and if "old friend was meant in a sarcastic way that it would be Lucifer. Thirdly Missouri. I don't see how Jody qualifies as an old friend.
Hopefully this is the start of Sam's arc and they go Sam/Leviathan/actual plot heavy for the rest of the season, throw in some cas and add some new interesting characters.
Counting down the episodes now till the end of Dean's arc-2 left people then maybe they'll give Jensen a nice break, a couple of days off every episode. We dont want him to burn out now do we?
Sam doesnt have any friends, even Bobby would only likely be brought back for something Dean related, I think the peopl who wrote the synopsis were just being liberal with the term 'old friend'.
Sherriff Mills could be Sam's new friend/mother typre figure.
That is a strong possibility, this being Mark's last episode, that would be kind of rushed tough. I do feel that's Sam allucinations haven been given enough screen time or acknoledgement.
They didn't even needed Pelegrinno to show the direness of the situation, cause some lone whispers here and there just don't do it
I really enjoyed Season 5 and Mark's version of Lucifer so its always great to see him come back. The first 2 episodes of the season were some of the best of the show and easily 2 of the top 3 episodes of the season thus far (Death's door being the other one), but that's not that hard in a mediocre season.
exactly they dont need Mark, they could get anyone to play Lucifer or they could just have Sam finally react to the wall coming down. Shouldn't it be affecting him more? They wouldnt need hellucinations to tell Sam's story esp since we kind of get the gist of them already-Lucifer was an evil dick.
The only reason I like the idea of the physical presence of Lucifer in Sam's mind is because it increases the chances that Sam's internal landscape will be verbalised. They need to give us more on that front even if for just one episode. It would be absolutely chilling to have MP be the voice of Sam's psyche.
It doesnt matter about the hellucinations if they are done what we need to start seeing is the affects this all has on Sam. Maybe strange descisons, second guessing himself and others, loss of time, being scared and jumpy, talking to no one.
This storyline has the potential for brilliance if the writers would just take the opportunity and write it.
I kind of like the idea of just leaving the whole story till the end of the season (give this season to the Dean fans) and have it all come crashing down around him in the finale after he helps stop the Leviathans and helps Dean and Cas and whoever else. Have it so he's only been holding on for Dean and the world his sanity slowly creeping away from him them BAM knock him for six. Start season 8 with a truly broken Sam, crazy/schizo Sam who then has the entire season to gain back his mind or at least some semblance of sanity. Push the boundaries a little, I would love to see a crazy Sam hunting next season. Watching Jared jump between a seemingly normal Sam to a mad one.
like be there while Dean deals with epic man pain?
I somewhat agree I would prefer the writers make Sam the ultimate hunter, have be the go to guy for research, make him the new Bobby, have him train up other hunters, rebuild Bobby's library, take the role of leader. Sam needs to take point on hunts more, he needs to be the decision maker now that he has shown his true strength and overcome everything that could possibly be thrown at him. I would also like him to start working with others apart from Dean more and I would like him to meet a kick ass female hunter.
I'm ready for Sam to step up to the next level, he's ready and waiting its just the writers who are pussy footing about.
He shouldnt just be broken so that Dean can fix him and the writers can write about how much of a burden Sam is on Dean. He is his own man/character not Dean's plot device.
Yeap, that is what bothers me, there has been almost no foreshadowing of where they are going with wall-less Sam, and it bugs me, cause it seems like they are just playing it by ear, and that leaves just too much room for failure.
And I like your overall idea, but pushing it to season 8 would be just too late, that should be happening now. I am Dean fan, but the show is about two brothers, both should have compelling and continued storylines all season long. These last two seasons have just felt random plot wise, even shody. Sam's wall, and lack of acknowledgement of it, is a sign of it.
Season 4 and 5 where my favorites because there was an overall theme for both brothers and it was clear what was the point. These two last seasons feel just... random, can't find another word for it. Like there's leviathans, and other stuff is happening, but I can't see where all is headed. There are good episodes and good ideas and good plot points, but is not meshing cohesively.
Yes, good news. I never thought the old friend would Bobby in flesh, though prior to AIB I had hopes that Bobby was in coma or had severe memory loss and was living with Jody, and that would provide her with a sound reason for being in 7.12 to give the boys an update on his condition. And I *was* being "sarcastic" with my earlier comment (agreeing with you) about the old friend being Luci - that was just before the "news broke" that MP was returning in 7.15. Never thought about the old friend being Missouri - I'd love that as she seemed like a true friend to Sam - but I don't *think* the show could/would bring Missouri back as many fans were either neutral about Missouri or outright disliked her because of how she treated Dean. But I do think I read an earlier interview with either SG or RS that said we'd might see Missouri again.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Guess Sam's hallucinations are back, which I'm excited about!
ReplyDeleteGREAT NEWS.
ReplyDelete:D
this! for all the haters who wanted more sam!!!
ReplyDeleteWow if he's as scary as he was in Hello, Cruel World it'll be sooooo cool!
ReplyDeleteMark Pellegrino is the ONLY person on the world who can make me say "I sincerely looooove Lucifer!!!"
ReplyDeleteFINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Super excited about this :)
ReplyDeleteSounds cool! I love Mark Pellegrino! He's always wonderful. That's promising, but frankly at this point I just want this to be about the Impala coming back.
ReplyDeleteto me Dabb and Lofflin are 0.5 xD... The Girl Next Door wasn't that bad.
ReplyDeleteIf Ben Edlund isn't writing this he is probably writing the meta ep 7.14
Yay! I love me some Mark Pellegrino. I had figured that the writers had forgotten about Sam's wall thing.
ReplyDeleteBwah!!! She does deserve her own promotion before she comes back. A little sneak peek, some promo shots, and of course some classic rock in the background.
ReplyDeleteWait, there is another meta episode coming? Oh, no! Haha!
ReplyDeleteOoh Me likey!
ReplyDeleteI swear they need, really need, to make the hugest fuss and biggest bang of music when they bring her back or it will be a big letdown. I've been assuming this is the episode because of the title and Edlund...

ReplyDeletewe don't know if is meta... but people saw an unicorn in the set... and the name of the episode is really weird... so is just my guess...
ReplyDeletemeta by edlund is good...
The impala is coming back. Jim Michaels said it Friday, just couldn't say when it was.
ReplyDeleteI love Mark P's Lucifer, too. <3
ReplyDeleteHee. I agree, though if JP were playing dual roles as Sam and Samifer I'd love that too.
ReplyDeleteI've read on a fan board that 7.15 will be written by BE but I can't find a source that confirms this.
ReplyDeleteWatch out, before you know they'll all start complaining that the whole serie is about Sam because of 3 lines :P
ReplyDelete:D AWESOME! I've been waiting since the end of Hello Cruel World, crossing my fingers at every spoiler to see when he was coming back
ReplyDeleteHappy, but not surprising, it was just a matter of time. Love Mark as Lucy!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear that. Mark was great on the Closer, Being Human, and Dexter, he's a great actor so I look forward to seeing more of him on TV.
ReplyDeleteI wish there was some way to convince him and the producers to let him play Lucifer as Pellegrino's lawyer character from The Closer instead. I would love to see that.
ReplyDeleteI love Mark's Lucifer....this season.
ReplyDeleteThey also originally said 7.15 would be Dean centric due to the days Jared had off while Jensen was filming.
ReplyDeleteThere is no suggestion at all that 7.14 is META
yeah but I loved the chemistry Jared and Mark had in HCW some of the best scenes and acting this season.
ReplyDeletewe want more Sam so we're haters?
ReplyDeleteDont mean to start anything but when Dean fans start to acknowledge the lack of Sam you know there must be something to the 'hating'
you mean the Dean fans right? Yeah waiting for the whining to begin.
ReplyDeleteIf Mark P. is back I take it to mean that we will get more insight into Sam's Hell experiences and that is definitely a must for me.

I wonder if Lucifer knows anything about the Leviathans?
He is the Devil after all, he should get intel now and then from somewhere!
Good news, think he is great. Certainly the way the season started they were very definitely leaving it open for him to re-appear at some point.
ReplyDeleteFinally something to get excited about this season. Hopefully this will be the start of Sam's arc for the season, I'm hoping for at least 1 episode in the second half.

ReplyDeleteNow all we need is Mark Sheppard back.
ReplyDeleteMore Sam, more Crowley, more Lucifer, do right by the Cas fans, step up the Leviathan arc, concentrate on moving the season along not just pissing about with silly little fillers about boring characters with a side order of angst.

Finally the title makes sense.
ReplyDeleteLucifer is repossessing Sam!
Nope, Sera said the wall issue would haunt Sam forever.
ReplyDeleteSam haters shut up
ReplyDeleteThe problem is I don't think the writers have any IDEA how to handle the wall issue (other than Sam squeezing his hand and being completely, 100% normal and fine). I'm just not certain the wall issue is sustainable even for this season, let alone any that may follow.
ReplyDeleteThat's GREAT news - I love Mark Pellegrino, despite what that means for poor Sam. Well, maybe it'll make things a little friendlier around here, anyway.
ReplyDeleteHa! I can see an entire teaser promo dedicated to the Impala.. and the sad thing is, that would be immensely satisfying for this fandom :)
ReplyDeleteI was hoping this "old friend:of Sam in the next episode would be Bobby. Not Bobby the friendly ghost but Bobby alive in the flesh (not sure how but hes back) and if "old friend was meant in a sarcastic way that it would be Lucifer. Thirdly Missouri. ReplyDeleteThat is a strong possibility, this being Mark's last episode, that would be kind of rushed tough. I do feel that's Sam allucinations haven been given enough screen time or acknoledgement.
ReplyDeleteThey didn't even needed Pelegrinno to show the direness of the situation, cause some lone whispers here and there just don't do it
Great! He's brilliant;)
ReplyDeleteLets hope it's only three lines. Sam's epic hell pain is very old. They need to give him something more grown up to do.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Season 5 and Mark's version of Lucifer so its always great to see him come back. The first 2 episodes of the season were some of the best of the show and easily 2 of the top 3 episodes of the season thus far (Death's door being the other one), but that's not that hard in a mediocre season.

That would be perfect for Baby's return, from your typing to the writers eyes. lol

Unfortunately, Sam usually gets one episode that is only half focused on him. The storylines of his episodes are always shared.
ReplyDeleteyes finnaly some good stuff now I know they have not forgoting about sam thank god.
ReplyDeleteWill definitely be good to see him again.
ReplyDeleteYes.
ReplyDeleteYeah, bring it! This site needs a "Greedy/Evil Hands" icon :) .
ReplyDeleteI love that idea! It would all be in Sam's mind, of course, but I'll take MP/JP scenes where I can get them.
ReplyDeleteI agree and additionally I want to give Jensen big props in his portrayal as Lucifer!Dean. I enjoyed 7.02 (and 7.01) from start to finish,
ReplyDeleteYes, good news. I never thought the old friend would Bobby in flesh, though prior to AIB I had hopes that Bobby was in coma or had severe memory loss and was living with Jody, and that would provide her with a sound reason for being in 7.12 to give the boys an update on his condition. ReplyDeleteI'll take what I can get at this point. A little Sam is better than no Sam at all.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the honesty
ReplyDelete
