Thanks to Darq for the heads up.
Deadwood and Caprica alumna Paula Malcomson has landed the female lead opposite Liev Schreiber in Showtime’s drama pilot Ray Donovan. Created and executive produced by Southland creator Ann Biderman, executive produced by Mark Gordon and Bryan Zuriff and to be directed by Allen Coulter, the Showtime-produced project takes a novelistic look at contemporary Los Angeles.

They had me at Liev Schreiber, but adding Malcomson makes me even more excited!
ReplyDeleteThis is the start of a VERY strong cast indeed.
Saw the headline on Deadline today, but read Lifetime instead of SHowtime which is why I didn't bother to read more.
ReplyDeleteWould have preferred to see her on Outlaw Country, but this could be good too.
i just realized i have not seen Liev Schreiber since he was on CSI LV,where has he been?
ReplyDeletePaula Malcomson? Hell yes and being done by the Southland creator double yes
ReplyDeleteHe did a great movie about the Jewish resistance fighters in WWII that also starred Daniel Craig and Jaime Bell called Defiance. I think that was right after the CSI role in 2007 or 2008.
ReplyDeleteHe played one of the bad guys in the 2009 movie X-Men: Wolverine movie and he was in the Angelina Jolie 2010 spy movie Salt.
I think he did a couple other movies too, but no TV since CSI. Then again he does far less TV than movies usually anyway.
Hey D,Thanks for letting me know,i didn't see the X-men wasn't interested in it ,but Defiance sounds interesting i will look for that one, maybe Amazon or Netflix has it... :)
