Lol good episode i didnt expect the kiss at the end but even though im not much for the lovey gooey stuff it was about time both of them kissed because they're moving on! Bonnies good and i bet whoever is in the coffin is i bet a brother, was on mikaels side before klaus stabbed him, and is up for some revenge. I doubt its elijah because i dont see what the point of the witches keeping him shut! Also They need to bring elijah back! He has to be one of those coffins that stefan has And is the one who wants to kill Klaus probably now more then Mikael after being betrayed twice. I don’t see why damon and Stefan don’t realize that. Now I know Rebekah is coming back so with Klaus having her its not as much of a big deal. I knew they would kick Jeremy out they have nothing left for him but truthfully I thought It was going to be matt first! But as usual they will probably bring him back in….3 episodes? It’s a guess.
I was all pumped up and feel kind of let down, but TVD was the only thing really new that was on and it has felt like forever since I've seen a new episode, so maybe that is why I feel this way. Am I alone?
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DELENA KISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! I COULDN'T STOP SCREAMING!!! I LOST MY VOICE AND CAUGHT AN ASTHMA ATTACK BUT IT'S SOOOOO WORTH IT!!!! FINALLY FINALLY I'M SO HAPPY!!!!! AND OMG MEREDITH!!!! THAT TOOK ME BY SURPRISE, THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVEN'T READ THE BOOKS WOULDN'T KNOW WHO SHE WAS!!! I'M SAD FOR ELENA, THE WHOLE JEREMY OF IT ALL!!! AND JEREMY GOOD FOR YOU MAN!! U STRAPPED ON A PAIR!! NICE MOVE WITH THE HYBRID! ALARIC GAVE ME A SCARE WITH THAT INTERNAL BLEEDING, BUT I'M GLAD HE'S OK!!! ELENA TELLING KLAUS EVERYTHING I THOUGHT WAS STUPID, BUT NICE MOVE ON HER END, VERY KATHERINE LIKE!! OMG DELENA!!!......SERIOUSLY BEST DAY EVER!!
Words cannot express how excited I am to have this show back.. it's been gone for too long! It'll be interesting to see where they take Damon and Elena in the next few weeks, and I'm not sure how I feel about the Tyler/Jeremy bromance.. that can't end well, with Tyler's weird new cocky, Klaus-lovin' attitude.
no not really i somewhat agree. it wasnt very event sized and this was the first episode that didnt end at all with a twist really. Actually compared to normal episodes there wasnt really anything suprising. I liked it still but nothing special.
I'm gonna miss him,...i really didn't see that coming, i mean he wasn't my favorite BUT I didn't hate him or dislike him, I guess they put him aside to let Meredith come in the show, or at least keep him alive....hopefully we'll see him again b4 the season finale.
wait when did they say meredith (even though i dont know anything about her)? if u can just answer when did they say it and what they said about her that would be great just please try not to say what happens to her in the books
They introduced Meredith when Alaric was in the hospital, and don't worry I really don't give spoilers, I'll just say, she's a HUGE character in the books, and it's gonna be really great having her in the show.....they introduced her as Meredith Fell but in the books her last name is Sulez.
I felt it was so much more of the same other than the kiss which did not make me squee or even react much honestly.
I guess I'm a bit bored with dead people coming back as ghosts or because of rings etc. People need to die and stay dead. Even if I like the characters as I do Alaric.
Decent episode, but if you remove the kiss it was just average.
I really enjoyed this ep but I suspect I'll be back with another comment after I watch a second time. When they packed Jeremy off my first thought was...are we having budget issues and we had to pull someone off the canvas for a while? :-) I did love the expression on Jeremy's face when Tyler said he'd yank his own heart out if Klaus told him to. It was clear Tyler didn't realize what he'd said. Dr. Fell. Fell is one of the founding families right? So can we assume she's been read in on the doings in Mystic Falls? Good seeing Bonnie, but I'd like to see her more part of things again. That's it! That's what it is....this is a transition ep they're moving puzzle pieces and just starting the next story arc..so a lot of characters felt left out.Klaus is becoming really boring for me. They've made him too untouchable. He's become a one note character and it's made it impossible for me to buy that he cares about anything. His tearful goodbye to his sister rang really flat. His "family" doesn't really mean anything to him, he's just pissed that Stefan took his toys despite the fact that he hasn't played with them for years.
LOL....looking at this I surprise myself that I started by saying I enjoyed the ep. I really did. There was lots of good stuff. Bonnie got the way out with regard to Klaus, the fight between Damon and Stefan was worth watching, Jeremy didn't walk away from a merely unconscious bad guy. He made sure he was dead. :-) and Damon decided he was going to give himself something to feel guilty about. Fun fun fun.
Loved it! It's so sad that Jeremy had to leave... But last scene was so sweet;) I kinda expected the kiss after last spoilers that it's gonna be suprising, because what's more suprising than to do it in the first episode after hiatus? ;)
In the books Elena has two best friends, Bonnie (who's a redhead in the books lol) and Meredith. Even Meredith's family is involved with the klaus plot in the book (totally different from the tv show plot).
I don't think he's been totally written off.. characters on this show are really stubborn, and I honestly don't think we've seen the last of him.. don't give up yet!
I got upset about the sibling betrayals. I can understand Klaus doing what he did, but it was wrong to do that to Jeremy. I understand it but it was wrong. This was a little surprising but I do not like Elena. I would prefer Damon to have someone better. Ah well. I am curious about the coffin though. Alaric's problem recovering was frightening. Oh, Paul Wesley has a beautiful wife.
Too many juicy spoilers and finally some little good things: THE kiss sooo expected at the end (awww), the fight between Damon and Stefan (but no shirtless alas), and Jeremy killing an hybrid (wow!). Surprisingly I still really enjoyed it (and OMG FINALLY they KISSED!)
I looked it up. Logan Fell, the reporter. In one of the eps where the character appeared we find that the Fells are one of the founding families. Logan Fell is on the council and he's chosen to be bait and carry the vampire compass.
So, it looks like the good doctor may definitely be more than just a pretty face.
I don't actively dislike Elena but I completely understand your point. Elena spent a lot of season two railing against the brothers for lying to her and manipulating her to protect her....and she just did the same thing to Jeremy. I understood the first time more....on that occasion Jeremy was nearly incapacitated by grief. But here he was accepting the situation and coping with it. Brainwashing and sending him away was harsh.
I was shocked - I know they'd been teasing the kiss for a while, but I didn't think they'd put it out there right after the hiatus ended. I suppose that leaves a lot more room to pump up the drama for the rest of the season haha
So so so good to have the show back!! Loved the Delena moments!! With Stefan, its really not sure if he has gone completely evil, but he was pretty convincing in his chat with Elena! Loved Klaus and his wickedness! ha he got cold feet and daggered Rebekah again! will miss Jer! and where was Caroline!?
Aw, Jeremy! :( I'm going to miss him! Definitely missed Caroline in this episode though, and the whole Alaric situation is throwing me off. I hope Tyler snaps out of it and realizes exactly what kind of control Klaus has over him soon, him being so unaware of it is kind of annoying me.
ha.. poor Jeremy.. every time he starts to grow up, man up, or mature a little, he gets compelled and has to start from scratch.. that has to be hell on his psyche
I thought it was an okay episode. The whole hidden witch coffin idea was cool, and I thought it was a good use of Bonnie. But mostly to me it was the assassination of the Elena Gilbert character. I was able to stand her before this episode. Now I can't at all.
I felt the same way. Aside from getting rid of Jeremy just when he got useful, and the Elena kiss, it felt like not much really happened. Alaric died....again. Oh well.
- Jeremy is gone and I'm okay with it. - What was up with Alaric and the ring? I need to know what that was all about. - Damon and Stefan have basically switched roles and personalities. Odd but interesting. - Bonnie may actually start becoming interesting again. - Klaus is a complete psycho no matter what emotion he shows. What he did to Rebekah seals it. - That kissing scene wasn't written very well. They dropped the ball. It was only Elena's reaction that saved it. Nina Dobrev did a fantastic job with her reaction shot.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteWriting Jeremy off was a mistake. A major one. I think im done with this show.
ReplyDeletenice!
ReplyDeleteSTELENA :(
ReplyDeleteLOL'ing @ this.
ReplyDeleteyeah, I didn't see that coming at all..

ReplyDeletehahahah I'm trying,...thanks for the look out. = )
ReplyDeleteFinally a real KISS, and I want Elijah to be in that coffin. I want him back.
ReplyDeleteOkay, first, THEY FINALLY KISSED! <3
ReplyDeleteSecond, Jeremy wont be back in the show again or I misunderstood something?
Nope.
ReplyDeleteI felt it was so much more of the same other than the kiss which did not make me squee or even react much honestly.

who is meredith...i read the books but i dont remember if thy mentioned in the show
ReplyDeleteLoved it! It's so sad that Jeremy had to leave... But last scene was so sweet;) I kinda expected the kiss after last spoilers that it's gonna be suprising, because what's more suprising than to do it in the first episode after hiatus? ;)
ReplyDeleteI actually screamed at the kiss, don't think i've ever been this excited over a scene
ReplyDeleteLoved it!
ReplyDeleteIn the books Elena has two best friends, Bonnie (who's a redhead in the books lol) and Meredith. Even Meredith's family is involved with the klaus plot in the book (totally different from the tv show plot).
ReplyDeleteI think they gave Meredith the last name Fell because Mystic Falls is called Fells Church.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he's been totally written off.. characters on this show are really stubborn, and I honestly don't think we've seen the last of him.. don't give up yet!
ReplyDeleteawesome episode especially the end. i was waiting for that since the beginning

ReplyDeleteTotally agree with you about Jeremy.
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I'll understand everyone's fascination with Elijah.. maybe?
ReplyDeleteI was shocked - I know they'd been teasing the kiss for a while, but I didn't think they'd put it out there right after the hiatus ended. I suppose that leaves a lot more room to pump up the drama for the rest of the season haha
ReplyDeleteWe've waited 54 episodes and finally they kiss!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe they compelled Jeremy again, hated that. They really suck for personal growth.
ReplyDeleteI did like the tiny Rebecca subplot and the mystery coffin though.
Agreed about Jeremy!
ReplyDeleteSo so so good to have the show back!!
ReplyDeleteLoved the Delena moments!! With Stefan, its really not sure if he has gone completely evil, but he was pretty convincing in his chat with Elena!

ha.. poor Jeremy.. every time he starts to grow up, man up, or mature a little, he gets compelled and has to start from scratch.. that has to be hell on his psyche
ReplyDeleteyeah, I'm totally on board with this "screw the bro code" Damon haha.. and Tyler is super annoying.. they need to fix him like yesterday
ReplyDeleteand i the books, meredith also ends up with alaric
ReplyDeleteI thought it was an okay episode. The whole hidden witch coffin idea was cool, and I thought it was a good use of Bonnie. But mostly to me it was the assassination of the Elena Gilbert character. I was able to stand her before this episode. Now I can't at all.

ReplyDeleteGood episode all around.
