It was great. I hope Sweets comes back for more episodes. He's been the best thing about Bones for years, I wouldn't mind him permanently moving over to The Finder.
I'm still really liking the series. MCD rules - I could just listen to that man talk for HOURS lol. My one qualm is Willa - I'm trying to give her a chance, trying to like her, but honestly the petulant, moody, "troubled but hot" teenager thing just does NOT blow up my skirt, ya know? I think the character looks like she's perpetually biting into a lemon or something - sort of bitchy and sour and mean. I'm hoping that she'll grow on me over time, but I honestly just don't see her purpose on the show and her character just seems like a pouty, uppity teen so far. And pretty much every ep description so far mentions her "getting into trouble" in some way. If her sole purpose on the show is to "get into trouble" and maybe learn a lesson about it, that would suck. We get it - she's a "troubled" teen. She's on probation. She doesn't seem to care about anything, but we're supposed to understand that somewhere under the bitchy exterior lies the heart of a sweet girl who just wants hugs (or something like that). She seems a bit like a caricature of a moody teen as opposed to a nuanced individual. Like they took every stereotype of what they think a "troubled" teen should be and rolled it into one character.
It's also possible that I'm a little annoyed about the "gypsy" angle, since I'm of Romani heritage and "gypsy" is a deragatory exonym that is offensive to most Romani people.
*Shrug* If you can muster up that giant paragraph about a character than it can't be all bad. It's better than the absolute indifference I have for the US Marshall.
this ep was much better than last week's ep. sweets' comment about paying attention to what is said by the smart ppl at the jeffersonian was a nice touch. still can do without the delinquent girl- she adds nothing to the plot at all.
It seems like they just use her as filler to make the show long enough. She is just boring. What really was the point, stealing a car and pinning it on the guy?? Added nothing to the ep.
Good episode. - Sweets was great. His interaction with everyone was really fun. He seemed so confused and at a loss numerous times during the episode. - The Miami Vice cops were funny. I wouldn't mind seeing them again. It was also funny that Leo thought that the cops' fashion sense was "a good look." - Isabel was WAY too happy to continue working with Walter for someone who is supposedly just a friend with benefits. - Willa sticking it to the rich d-bag was pretty funny.
I hope that Hart Hanson doesn't end up doing a Miami Vice show after seeing this episode. Five-0 has been the best reboot I don't think anybody can top that!
Another good episode I agree I'm glad Sweets was in this he was enjoyable to watch and I knew he would believe Wally in the end and gave him a chance
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI agree that for me Willa is a pointelss character. I just can't get interested in her and find the whole troubled teen thing pointless.
ReplyDeletethis episode was funy & awesome both actors work perfect together

ReplyDeleteI did not expect Mario Van Peeples to be shorter than Greg Evigan. (Crocket and Tubbs... Hehehe!)
ReplyDeleteOH PLEASE, keep Sweets on the show.. I stopped watching Bones last season and he was great in this ep.
