  1. An fantastic episode that tied up what turned out to be a very complex case and a great career. Some really good moments and interactions between Katherine and Russell (as well as the hooker/pimp who helped them out). Her eventual exit and the reasons for her leaving felt totally believable and the “family meeting” they had for Katherine to say farewell was very touching and appropriate for the team.  I also liked the end scene as Katherine was kind of “passing the torch” along to Morgan(?). I can’t believe that it’s been 12 seasons… but they’ve all been great. I feel that Ted D was a great uplifting addition to the show and now I’m looking forward to see what Elizabeth Shue will bring to the show.

  2. Best episode of the season so far. I am so going to miss Marg Helgenberger. i hope she comes back to do a couple of special guest star spots.

  5. Yeap, you summed up my feelings pretty nicely :D

I really liked Russel and Katherine together, sad we got so little of them. I too was glad about her exit motives, she had basically had been everything she could in Vegas (BTW loved the bit were she reminisced her stripper days) This episode really was Katherine in a nutshell, past, present and future.

That bit where she "passes the torch" to Morgan was very touching, I just would have liked that scene to be longer, and that had started with all the team sitting around Kath, and then leaving one by one to then leave Morgan and Katherine, that's the only thing I would have changed.

But I'm looking forward for new possibilities, Katherine appearing one in a while on the different CSI's as a FBI agent. Wouldn't it be awesome for her to pop on NY?

  8. I thought it was a great episode for Catherine, the way she talked about her past, her present situation, and the taking the next step forward in her life, becoming an FBI Agent. I would have liked them all in the dinner having breakfast again one last time, but that was already done years ago...
