back in 2011, a german tv-industry site called DWDL featured a list containing tv-talks, shows, etc, plus scripted shows which were succesfull the past year. Actually most of the shows u may not know, and if u ask me, in some cases u havent missed somehing. despite that, there are some more interesting facts to talk about. for example (succesfully) longtime running shows, aka CSI, CSI Miami, or HOUSE MD are on the loosing site (a trend, which made is way in the past few years).
shows like greys anatomy, desperate housewives (kicked out 2011; in 2010 set on 9th), two and a half men (in germany, it seems, we like to watch more reruns, than new episodes), tbbt or HIMYM are missing in this chart.
So. Here's what we liked to watch in germany in 2011. Just to let u know:

Source: DWDL
P.S. U might remind no 10, "Danni Lowinski", a dramedy, which was about to get launched on THE CW earlier 2011 - but then dismissed. (here more)

that's certainly not what I like to watch, I don't watch any of those shows
ReplyDeleteNot surprised about the results. I hate that my country calles NCIS Navy CIS. It's so wrong. NCIS used to be called Navy NCIS in its first season, but it's never been called Navy CIS.... ugh
ReplyDeleteI guess I will never understand why Doctor's Diary and Alarm für Cobra 11 are such popular...
ReplyDeleteHappy for The Mentalist and NCIS... Oh, and Bones, it's Bones, right? ;)
ReplyDeleteI used to watch Alarm fur Cobra 11, but earlier seasons:)
At least there is no reality TV shows in Germany's top 10! XD
ReplyDeleteright. ;)
ReplyDeleteRejoice not too early.-> http://www.dwdl.de/magazin/34072/deutsche_formate_dominieren_die_tvhits_2011/page_0.html(check the bottom incl. the ratings.) germany sucks too ..
ReplyDeleteI'm not suprised tbbt doesn't appear on this list, I watched the show in German TV once, and the dubbing is aweful. It really is a shame. (I love the show in English) I suppose it's really difficult to get all the jokes right in the translation, some just don't work in another language.
ReplyDeleteI will never understand why people watch shows like Der letzte Bulle, even only watching promos annoy the crap out of me. Well, to each his own.
I'm happy though to see The Mentalist and NCIS on the list, TM and NCIS are the only shows I watch in German (together with my family, but only after I've seen the original episodes - they just ARE much better after all)
I'm a bit surprised by that tbh, it's not like we don't have enough of them on tv... Bauer sucht Frau (something like farmer searches wife, and yes, it is as... weird as it sounds xD), Dschungelcamp (Jungle Camp),.... and of course a whole lot of casting shows. Maybe they don't count as series and aren't included here? Because there certainly are a lot of people who watch those shows.
ReplyDeletethe good shows are missing! like How i met your mother, supernatural, vampire diaries, ...
ReplyDeleteIt's annoying that procedurals always get the highest ratings when they are so boring.
ReplyDeleteHa, Navy CIS!
ReplyDeleteinteresting.. thanks!
ReplyDeleteHouse and NCIS i can dig it.
ReplyDeleteInteresting,i wonder why CSI Miami is up there but not the original CSI Crime Scene Investigation?
ReplyDeleteGlad to see NCIS,(your Navy CIS),The Mentalist,Dr.House, and i see Bones! That is quite a few American shows that you watch,i thought i would have been less. That is a nice surprise. :)
David C. IS very Hoff like
ReplyDeleteGo Bones!
ReplyDelete+1
ReplyDeleteThe only shit I watch from this list is probably Bones, and sometines I tune in on House/ CSI:Miami...but the rest...have never seen, will never see...
ReplyDeleteweird stuff...wth is Doctor's Diary anyway...I have NEVER even heard of it before :/
