Thanks to Darq for the heads up.
Fox has given the green light to Like Father, a single-camera family comedy written, directed and executive produced by Scrubs creator and Cougar Town co-creator Bill Lawrence. Inspired by Lawrence’s real-life experiences, it centers on a father-son relationship.

Love all of his shows, so will give this one a look if it gets to air
ReplyDeleteHmmm.. I'm conflicted on this one....
ReplyDeleteI love me some Bill Lawrence, but I hate recent FOX comedies! I cannot recall a FOX comedy I have liked enough to watch regularly EVER.
Family Guy is great, but it is great in small doses and gets old in large quantities... I never really liked any of the FOX sitcoms of the last few years either.... I think Malcolm in the Middle was the last FOX sitcom I can think of that I could watch back to back episodes of, but I did not watch that regularly either.
I hope Like Father is more like Lawrence and less like FOX!
Hopefully it will be good....
ReplyDeleteLove Bill. If it makes it, I may watch the show!
ReplyDeleteUgh,another comedy,just what we need.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever watched Raising Hope? I would say its the best comedy on Fox right now
ReplyDeleteWell if it is as fun as his previous works then all is good
ReplyDeleteI tried the pilot and turned it off half way through. I peeked at a few episodes since then to see if my opinion has changed and it hasn't. I just do not like Greg Garcia's humor I guess. I was not a fan of My Name is Earl or Yes,Dear either and he created both of those.
ReplyDeleteYeah I guess it doesn't appeal to everyone, I find it a very funny and oddly sweet show but I can get why others wouldn't like it.
ReplyDeleteYeah the other Fox comedies don't do it for me either.
FOX has notoriously bad comedies. I know you don't like New Girl but I find it charming. I also watch Raising Hope but as far as the comedies I do watch goes, It doesn't rank near the top, certainly. Their animated shows are sort of a genre unto their own imo. Other than that, I can't recall a FOX comedy I followed regularly. That 70s Show was probably the last.
