While Bryan Cranston has used his "Breaking Bad" acclaim and fame to take roles in, well, everything, his equally talented co-star Aaron Paul (aka Jesse Pinkman), hasn't been so quick to rush the big screen. But judging by the reaction to the alcoholism drama "Smashed," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews (including ours), it's likely he's soon going to be reaping some big rewards for the talent he's shown that he can carry from the AMC series into feature films. Indeed, he's already been linked as a contender to play as John McClane's son in the brewing "A Good Day To Die Hard." We caught up with Paul in Park City and while he acknowledges there were some talks, it looks like Jesse Pinkman is still taking priority.

I miss Breaking Bad... But looking forward to seeing Smashed.
ReplyDeleteI love Breaking Bad, but I agree it's good that they have an end point and can exit whilst the quality is still so high. Pretty sure that eventually Jesse and Walt will get caught and made to pay...
ReplyDeleteIt's very good they finally agreed to set an end date, I had problems seeing the show going beyong season 3 and then season 4. But I have faith in Gilligan who has never disappointed me so far.
ReplyDeleteThe main question is whether we're gonna get 2 big stories in those last 16 episodes or if it's going to be one last long plot. Just hope we're getting to see more of the Mexican/South American cartell and where Gustavo came from. Eladio's "I know who you are" still has me intrigued.
As much as I'd like to see him in Die Hard 5, Breaking Bad must come first.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if we will get any BB this year, they don't seem to have started filming it yet, really hope we get some episodes even if they end up splitting the season
