Can't say I blame you since episodes 2-5 were as rough as they were. The show really picked up and came into its own with episode 6, and it's been keeping or surpassing that pace and quality so far.
I also have my fingers crossed for a S2. The show really got moving in the later eps that didn't dwell on the family drama, so less of that and more action/mythology is better imho
Not surprising given the cost of production and lukewarm ratings. I still wish they had focused more on Terra Nova itself and less on the family drama which is a dime a dozen these days. If they do pick it up for a second season, I hope it comes with a major overhaul of the focus. It should be focused on Commander Taylor.
I understand that the production cost is the main reason for being in doubt about a S2. Otherwise, it would a natural. It is not a big hit but there is a lot of unexplored plot to go ahead. Hope it is renewed.
That is definitely a comment from someone who only watched the first episodes...After episode 5 or 6 is all about Terra Nova and Commander Taylor. Now it's getting on the move, It definitely deserves a Season 2 Opportunity!
I'm pretty sure I'm only one or two episodes behind. Other than that, I have watched every episode. Even in the episode where Taylor regressed back a few years, there was far too much concentration on the Shannon family and their drama. I'd like to see the Shannons become minor characters and Taylor and others take the lead.

Did they even get picked up for a back nine?
ReplyDeleteNo, but it was never intended to due to the lengthy production and costs. It was planned since July to be just 13 Episodes.
ReplyDeleteNo, but that was an old decision, based on production issues.
ReplyDeleteI gave up with this show after episode 4, but I hope for all those that do like it that it gets a second season.
ReplyDeleteWho actually say this? Jason O'Mara on twitter?
ReplyDeleteYep, I believe so. We found out about it via TV Guide
ReplyDeleteRemember when TV shows have finales on Network TV early In season It Is never a good sign.
ReplyDeleteI hope it gets picked up it's not the best but enjoyable sometimes
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense - I was wondering how they were going to support the spec FX for a full season.

ReplyDeleteIs there a snail-mail addy to write to in support of Season 2? To whom should such a missive be directed?
ReplyDeleteThe show has a lot of potential. Hope they give it a chance,
