Hey Guys,
Over HERE you have voted in your thousands for the shows which you wanted to see in the STV Best of 2011 TV Awards, and I have spent this morning trawling through them and have compiled the top 5 of each category to be entered into the competition which will begin next Monday.
Worthy of note is the vast array of shows competing, after several show missed out on key awards due to disagreement within the community over who, which or what to vote for! It should be an exciting competition!
Also worthy of note that in four of the categories, there are six nominations as they 5th and 6th placed nominations were identical!
I'm not revealing which categories each show has an entry in just yet, but for now you can see exactly how many awards each show is fighting for! There are 17 awards up for grabs, with shows able to compete for 16 of those. (The other award goes to the favourite TV network)
So without further ado, these are the shows you have placed into the competition, as well as the amount of awards they are competing for:

Game Of Thrones 4
The Walking Dead 4

Good mix of shows.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see a few good shows like Homeland or Breaking Bad there, although we all know they won't stand a chance.......
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff Adam, good work.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the voting phase
Homeland could certainly do well in the Best New Show cat?
ReplyDeleteSo it's the usual suspects fighting for most of the awards LOL
ReplyDeleteGlad to see Once Upon A Time in there. I absolutely adore that show already :)
I've tried to give the awards a bit of a mix so that lots of shows have a chance to win something! There's best new show, best cable show etc etc which both HL and BB could be competing in :P
ReplyDeleteAlso cool is both shows have also mixed it up a little bit with the big awards :P
Ugh,yeah yeah i know its Fringe and Supernatural again isn't it..........
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam. Brilliant idea!
ReplyDeleteNo complaints from me--every show that I love is in the running.
ReplyDeleteBoth Fringe & Supernatural aren't competing in every one of the big awards...
ReplyDeleteReally Great! Thanks you just made my day!
ReplyDeletei am ok too.
ReplyDeleteOn a somewhat related note - whatever happened to this pilot prediction contest? I'm not sure what it was about exactly... Was it predicting which shows will be picked up to series? I think so, but can't remember seeing a result to that one. But I might have missed during during my vacations.
ReplyDeleteYou even tried to give yet unaired series a chance with the most anticipated series in 2012, but I saw many put down old programs anyway! XD
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked by a few of the nominations, but not surprised overall.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff and with so many categories it should be more fun this year instead of just the big 4 or 5 series taking all the awards!
I know... thankfully none of them made it into the most anticipated series, although a couple of shows made it into most missed, but they were understandable ones if there had to be any :P
ReplyDeleteThanks adam, can't wait till monday. Will make the xmas hiatus a little more bareable.
ReplyDeleteWow, Hawaii 5-0 isn't up for even one? That's a surprise.
ReplyDeleteThat will teach you!
ReplyDeleteSpoilerTV readers demand (or need) more specificity! XD
Words like "missed" and "anticipated" meant cancelled and yet to air to me, but others found alternative meanings I guess.....
Then again maybe those 2 words would have just gotten you more N/A responses! XD
Looks awesome! :D
ReplyDeleteyay! Castle,Fringe and SPN 6!!!
ReplyDeleteCastle FTW!
ReplyDeleteEXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME SIR!!! Where is THE GOOD WIFE!?
ReplyDeletesadface.
I'm sorry but I just got a mental image of a cat holding a sign that reads "Best New Show." :D
ReplyDeleteROFL
ReplyDeleteYEAH! GO CASTLE!!!! :D
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteIndeed! I'm a bit disgruntled though that the Mentalist got only one nom.
ReplyDeleteMuch more diverse than the big Awards shows.
ReplyDeleteAnd much more fun! :)
Breaking Bad is most deserving of a few wins. Outstanding acting by not only Cranston and Paul, but Esposito as well. He really should win a supporting actor award.
ReplyDeleteHappy for Castle! Is it competing for all the big awards?
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised GoT and TWD don't have as many noms as Castle, Fringe and SPN! And TVD is only up for 2! :(
ReplyDeleteCool, lot if good shows there.
ReplyDeletegreat! Castle is at the top, as I expected, and I'm glad to see Supernatural hanging in there, as well
ReplyDeleteSomething tells me that 24, Lie to Me, LOST wiil be among the "most missed" shows. asd
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time¡
ReplyDeleteNot many surprises - glad that Spn has six categoires.
ReplyDeletei was expecting some shows to do a lil better.
ReplyDeletei wonder which one won best episode of the year
ReplyDeleteI am really really sad to see that Justified doesn´t get enough love. It has such good actors and deserves a spot amongst the best.
ReplyDeleteOfcourse I am thrilled to see Game of Thrones doing so well. Glad to see Fringe and Homeland near the top too.
Voting starts on Monday
ReplyDeleteYay my fringe will get 6 awards! :)
ReplyDeleteYay! Doctor Who made it! Also I'm glad that Once Upon A Time and How I Met Your Mother are also there.
ReplyDeleteI am very surprised that TVD only got 2 and Revenge got zip. Yeah this is going to be fun come Monday.
ReplyDeleteReally excited for voting to start :)
ReplyDeleteso right! After Esposito's role on BB I felt the same as I felt after Nestor Carbonell's amazing job on "Ab Aeterno" - I felt like, Damn! they deserve a !@%#*& Emmy!
ReplyDeleteJUSTIFIED IS NOT ON THE LIST??? Boo Hoo, Bah Humbug
ReplyDeleteSupernatural and Castle made the list Yahooo for our side!!!
