I love Anjelica Huston, so I'll be at least checking this out. I hope it's an actually good show that isn't just another let down. NBC needs not only a huge hit, but also more decent programming.
Definitely going to check out the pilot of this one. Who knows from there. Great idea with the cast and the letters. Really pops out more than more promo shots.
I like the idea for these promo shots as well. I'm cautiously optimistic about Smash because of the network it's on and because I have concerns about the potential longevity of the premise.
That's true I guess.... I think the first season as the new girl on broadway has a short shelf life. One season - two tops. I suppose they could do a play per season. In season 1 our star is the understudy and wins the big role. In season 2 it's a new play with her first production created for her or because of her and she has to deal with the added pressures. Season 3 could have a new play with a new ingenue aspiring for her spot....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I like the single letter individual cast shots!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to this more and more. With so many mediocre new series this year, I have hopes for this one....
Really hope the buzz around this show ends up being correct, I love Jack Davenport and would like to see him on a successful show again
ReplyDeletelooks really cool :)
ReplyDeleteSuper excited about this. It's the show I've always wanted.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too...the premise seems to be a better version of Glee and I hope that it comes off like that.
ReplyDeleteYeah it seems like an adult Glee with hopefully consistent characterisation and plotlines!
ReplyDelete.... and better actors.
ReplyDeleteYep and less idiotic plots hopefully :)
ReplyDeleteI really hope so too
ReplyDeleteOh snap! Ha so true though
ReplyDeleteWell, NBC... here's where we find out if you can do semi-serious or not

ReplyDeleteWell, I'd argue from Anjelica Huston and Debra Messing, we're already in for something better than glee.

ReplyDeleteThe pics are great - especially the individual ones. Fingers crossed this will be good.

ReplyDeleteThis show looks interesting, but not sure if I'm going to check it out.

Heh. You just gave me a vision of NBC trying to replace McPhee with Lea Michele in season three.
ReplyDeleteAck. Pfffft.
ReplyDeleteI hope this show is good!
