    So Secret Circle is getting the Ringer treatment.  Although Secret Circle does not have anything to fear as far as cancellation goes unlike Ringer, it sure has to be a disappointment to the CW.  I'm sure they were expecting ratings far closer to that of VD.

    more like its getting Thre Vampire Diaries Treatment they did a marathon for vampire diaries in its first 2 seasons in December for all the episodes that have aired that season so thats what i would compare this too rather then ringer

    Good point.  I compared it to Ringer because they used the marathon approach to try to get more viewers this year.  while ultimately unsuccessful they seem to be trying this with all their new shows this week.  Perhaps they are trying to get a handle on where to best schedule things next year.

     It's their second best rated show and the ratings have been close to TVD's. It's not a disappointment.

    Excluding the first episode for both since those are always inflated, Vampire Diaries has scored a 1.2 - 1.6 in demo this season.  Secret Circle has scored a 0.8 - 1.0.  That's no where near Vampire Diaries.  Don't get me wrong.  Secret Circle is guaranteed a second season, but the CW needed it to be a runaway hit with numbers matching or even surpassing VD.  They didn't get it and it's likely that if the CW moves it to another night, the ratings will fall without the VD lead-in.  Secret Circle is outperforming every other new show for sure but that doesn't mean that the CW bigwigs aren't disappointed with both it and Ringer.
