Ringer and 90210 fans will have to wait a little longer before fresh episodes resume.
Why? The CW is double-pumping its new reality series, Remodeled (premiering Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 9/8c), by slotting multiple original and repeat installments during its first two weeks on the air.
As a result, 90210‘s return has been pushed back a week to Jan. 17, while Ringer will now resume with new episodes three weeks behind schedule on Jan. 31.
The good news: The delay means that Ringer will run nearly repeat-free through May.
Remodeled is a docu-series which follows modeling industry vet Paul Fisher on his quest to unite smaller agencies into one supersized unit, to be called The Network.

Not cool! But at least they've announced it in advance unlike what they did with Supernatural and Smallville last year...the day before they were supposed to return with new episode
ReplyDeletePhew. Thought you were gonna say 'Ringer will return in late April' for a second there. **breath, breath**
ReplyDeleteoh... :'(
ReplyDeleteyou might want to add-THERE WILL BE NO NIKITA ON FRIADAY 20TH JAN AS A REPEAT OF REMODELED WILL AIR AT 8PM BEFORE A NEW EPISODE OF SUPERNATURAL
ReplyDeleteI guess I'll be happy about it when Ringer doesn't have many stops when it returns.. but for now, I'm REALLY frustrated :(
ReplyDeleteCome on... Who needs these reality shows anyway?
ReplyDeleteUgh. But at least they didn't wait until the last minute.
ReplyDeleteWait any longer to Ringer?!?!?
ReplyDeleteThey're putting this on instead of Ringer? Who on earth would watch that?
ReplyDeletethanks for the info
ReplyDeleteThe CW had better promote the hell out of Ringer to make up for this. These long CW hiatuses are notorious for killing a show's momentum.
ReplyDeleteI think the CW feels it already promoted the hell out of Ringer this fall. My guess is that it will return quietly. Definitely a lot more quietly than Supernatural and Smallville did when they bumped them for reruns of Vampire Diaries and Nikita last year. I hope the CW learned their lesson about enraging Supernatural fans because they will all be ducking if they decide to postpone the show again. Especially with Bobby's fate in the air (kind of).
ReplyDeleteWhile I don't think Remodeled will get as terrible numbers as H8R, I can't see it doing much for the CW's ratings either. I guess the benefit is that it's cheap to make. While nothing is certain at all and spring numbers will make all the difference, this can't be seen as a positive sign for Ringer. The show is definitely a disappoint ratings-wise even if it is on par with almost everything else the CW offers. With all the promotion they gave SMG's return to TV they have to be feeling anxious about its terrible return on investment. Ringer's numbers need to stay steady through spring if it wants to be renewed.
ReplyDeletefuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
ReplyDeleteI was thinking more along the lines of off-network promotion. I agree about towing the line with Supernatural though.
ReplyDeleteseriously, don't they know the only "reality" series that can ever do well on the CW is ANTM? They should have never cancelled Hellcats, H8ers had like what two episodes before it was pulled? Remodeled does not equal Top Model, stop trying to make another reality show happen, actually try a night of comedy (aka you know you f-ed up by letting The Game go and it cam back stronger than ever), for 30 minute shows (ala ABC's Wednesday Nights 8p-10p and NBC's Thursday night 8p-10p block). I don't see Hart of Dixie getting a second season and this is OTH's last season so we could shuffle some things around and make it happen
